This is truly incredible.

Remember Rosetta? That comet-chasing European Space Agency (ESA) probe that deployed (and accidentally bounced) its lander Philae on the surface of Comet 67P? This GIF is made up of images Rosetta beamed back to Earth, which have been freely available online for a while. But it took Twitter user landru79 processing and assembling them into this short, looped clip to reveal the drama they contained.

Itâs been a really long time since I came on tumblr, but I started thinking a bit about how difficult year 13 was for me and what I could have done differently. theyâre lengthy but thereâs a lot to be said!!
These are some things that helped me when I was studying with depression - I have to say these donât always help, and nothing will replace getting medical help. These just helped me take each day as it came, so I hope theyâre of some use!
Please, please, please think of your health and really take care of yourself whilst studying and even more so in exam season.Â

Her name is Donna Strickland. Together with Arthur Ashkin, and GĂŠrard Mourou, they are awarded the Nobel Prize âfor their groundbreaking inventions in the field of laser physicsâ which help open up doors for potential research in biomedical physics.
[The announcement comes one day after a senior scientist with Cern, the academic home to a number of Nobel prize winners, was suspended for saying that physics was invented and built by men.
âWe need to celebrate women physicists because weâre out there. Iâm honored to be one of those women,â Strickland said in a news conference following the announcement in Stockholm.
Speaking about being the third woman to ever win the award, she said she thought there might have been more, adding: âHopefully in time it will start to move forward at a faster rate.â]

Seeing Titan : Shrouded in a thick atmosphere, Saturnâs largest moon Titan really is hard to see. Small particles suspended in the upper atmosphere cause an almost impenetrable haze, strongly scattering light at visible wavelengths and hiding Titanâs surface features from prying eyes. But Titanâs surface is better imaged at infrared wavelengths where scattering is weaker and atmospheric absorption is reduced. Arrayed around this centered visible light image of Titan are some of the clearest global infrared views of the tantalizing moon so far. In false color, the six panels present a consistent processing of 13 years of infrared image data from the Visual and Infrared Mapping Spectrometer (VIMS) on board the Cassini spacecraft. They offer a stunning comparison with Cassiniâs visible light view. via NASA
And thatâs when Earth made dolphins. LOL.
Thought For The Day
This image is beautiful, and closer to my heart because I have done a field study at NRAO. Such an incredible experience!
