Of course my dear partner knows about me. He is well aware of me, who I am, how I differ from Sherlock. He is proud to go on about town with a stunning figure like myself on his arms. He is practically the talk of the town when he does so. I know he feels differently for me than he does for Sherlock, and I cannot blame him for that. It is easier for the two of us than it is for the two of them. I am certain you can understand why.

That being said, he brings joy to me and I to him. In the end, that is all that matters.

I am a writer who used to do so much more frequently, but have been hit with a terrible writer's block for years. It is good to hear from you again, friend. I have heard that you have asked such questions from several of my acquaintances, and thus have been trying to find my way into a coherent answer. I'm afraid I don't know if I will be able to provide an absolute reason why for these answers, but yes I would still love Naruhodou if he were a worm, and no I would not still hate Lord van Zieks if he were a worm.

I would love to elaborate, but I fear I simply cannot. I know deep in my heart of hearts that these answers are true. There is nothing more to it.

My father was a cruel, foolish man. He believed that he could conquer anything, and that included the great beasts of the plains of Africa. He kept such animals in his house without knowing what such "pets" would demand in terms of care. He and his servants were injured many times by the unruly beasts. He was eventually killed by his favorite of his pets, the snake. It was entirely preventable.
