Inquiry towards the members of the van zeiks household
We are writing to you in regards to rumors of items contained within the van zeiks manor. We would like to know the validity of the claim that you are in possession of one “dragon skeleton”. If authentic, that would be one of the most monumental discoveries in the history of our great country. While many members have their doubts, it was not that long ago that we discovered that the once mythical okapi was indeed a a living breathing beast. We a truly living in an age of discovery. In addition, we have also been informed of the possible possession of many exotic specimens, both living and preserved. Access to such a collection would be instrumental in helping our organization in our scientific endeavors.
We are eagerly awaiting any further information you wish to provide.
-Zoological Society of London
With regards to the Zoological Society of London,
I understand that this may be quite disappointing, but it must be said that I cannot believe in the possibility of dragons. While I do not study science as much as some of my acquaintances, I believe I understand enough to know that such a creature would not be able to lift its body off of the ground. With that out of the way, I do know what specimen you are speaking of.
The late Lord and Lady van Zieks, my mother and father, were braggarts, to put it bluntly. I do not know precisely where they sourced their bones, though I do believe it was from Africa. I do not know if they themselves put this skeleton together in such a state or if they were tricked into buying it, but, that being said... It's not a dragon skeleton. My best guess would be a large animal such as a giraffe, a hippopotamus, or an elephant.
There are many things that my late parents decorated our homes with, things that I am not very attached to. That being said, I highly doubt any of these things would be of much interest to such a group of scientists. They had owned an exotic snake, cheetah, baboon, and possibly even more animals, though as such animals led to the death of my father, we did not keep these animals.
I am willing to answer any further inquiries on this subject.
Lord Barok van Zieks
to Benjamin- you sound very fond of Barok. What made you want to get back in contact with him after ten years?
Dear Uniquartz,
You are quite the astute observer! I am rather fond of Barok... The two of us were very close friends in our years at university. He is the closest friend I've ever had! One of the only friends I've ever had...
Oh, my... I can think of only three friends... well, that is to say, three human friends... that I have ever had. That is rather worrying. Perhaps I should get out more. (Not to mention one of those friends tried to ruin my dreams...)
That being said, I had missed him greatly. He invited me to visit him in his home and I could not turn down such an offer. I have struggled with money in the past, and he is helping me to save my pennies. As I said, he is a very, very kind man. I care deeply for him.
Best, Benjamin Dobinbough
Dear Gina, losing your boss must've been really hard on you. How are you coping?
Uniquartz,
........
Losin 'im was... the hardest thing I ever been through. He was so important to me. He was my Da... the only one I ever had. Even if he was keepin things from me, I still... I cared for 'im. He took me in. He made me feel welcome.
........
I've been sat here since I got this letter, thinkin. Asougi and I were stayin in a hotel together, but he moved in with Iris and Holmes. Maybe I should go ahead and move in, too. What do you think?
Inspector Gina Lestrade
P.S. - Iris is helpin me write now. I'm much better at it.

...😱!!!
M... M- Mr Asman!!
Well I never imagined this! That this unusual postbox would allow for a contact with the afterlife!
🤯 H- Hello! I- I'm Nos E. Prick, reporting for The Daily Circus, sir! Oh, you sir, have no idea! You are a myth, a legend amongst us young journalists!
QUESTION!!!: What is the secret to effectively utilizing 🎩 gentleman power🎩 to achieve one's life goals?
With great admiration! 😍
Mr Nos E. Prick
Dear Mr. Prick,
It is wonderful to hear from someone who holds me in the regard I have earned over the course of my life. I do not understand the mechanics by which the living are able to contact me in this afterlife, nor have I really figured out how to contact others undead, but I am happy that I was able to hear from an upstanding young man as yourself.
I cannot speak on just any life path, but I do know how to achieve one's goals if such goals are in the esteemed field of journalism. The advice I will give will be obvious, though not easy to follow.
You must do anything you can in order to get the news. You may find yourself causing scandals anonymously so that you can be the one to have the first story out about it. You can bend the truth if it would benefit you, because outright lies are far easier to prove than simple exaggerations.
Involve yourself with those who make headlines. Politicians, criminals, wealthy men... anyone who can give you a leg up on the competitors. Create good relationships with those who are in the thick of conflict or scandal, and they will tell you about it. Do not be afraid to portray their side of the story. Outrage still pays the bills. If you desire more advice, I could go on and on, though I would hate to bore you.
Yours, Odie Asman
this more a question for the mod(s?) but um. how did you get such good sprites of all the characters? the ones on the wiki suck and im not sure how you did it </3 thanks if you do answer btw!!
Hello astonot!
I'm afraid I don't know the exact process, as it was actually @ask-modern-aceattorney who figured out the process! Essentially, I would pick the sprites I liked best, and they would put them through some sort of gif enhancer, one by one. I started sending gifs in our dms because we were both having fun setting up blogs, and they offered to upgrade, and I couldn't say no.
Thank you for the ask! I know this probably doesn't help too much but I'm so glad you enjoy my stuff <3

Sherlock or Mikotoba how did you meet???
Anon,
It is a story that I think of quite often. I had been staying with my friends in a hotel, but the two of them were looking for a flat, and I realized that I needed somewhere closer to my place of work. I brought this up to one of my coworkers--Dr. John Watson, to be exact--and he informed me that the brother of one of his friends was also looking for a flatmate in the precise area where I was looking.
When I arrived and we first interacted, he approached me with a list of things that would put off a roommate. His flaws, I believe he called them. He then asked me for a list of mine, which I gave him. It was an incredibly strange conversation. You may not believe, but he used to be quite a stoic man. He did not show many of his emotions, he was cold and calculated... so you would imagine my surprise when he told me to stand and walk to the middle of the pub where we had met.
He told me the steps to a dance. I thought doing it would make me look ridiculous, so he insisted on dancing first. I watched, I laughed, I joined in, and we looked ridiculous together.
People have said that Holmes is a man who does not understand social cues. Those people are wrong. He knew exactly what I needed at that moment, and I cannot thank him enough for such a warm welcome. We moved in that same day.
It was strange living with him, but I will treasure those years for the rest of my life. My apologies for going on and on, but it is a story that I hold near and dear to my heart.
Thank you for asking! Dr. Yuujin Mikotoba
Iris,
Do you ever feel judged for your parentage?
Dear anon,
Your question tugs at my heartstrings. If you had asked me this a year ago, two years ago, I would have said yes, most certainly. I felt judged for not knowing who my parents are, despite the fact that many people around me are the same way. There are a large number of orphans on the street, children abandoned on church doorsteps, and other such things. I am but one of many.
But now, in this year, I have no such qualms. I know who my Papa is, and it's Holmesies. Whoever my other parents may be, they do not matter nearly as much as the father who took me in, who raised me, who loves me so. I love him too. Perhaps one day I may learn who birthed me, but for the time being, I have the greatest Papa in the world!
Love, Iris
Dear Henry,
I... I do not know if I can comply with such a request. I understand the gravity of the situation, and it is something I never would want to find myself in, but the simple matter of fact is that I am in Japan and it will take me an immense amount of time to make it to Europe. My previous trip to London took me well over a month.
While I would love to help you with such a thing, I do not think I am the man for you. I am so, so sorry. Is there anyone else you could possibly ask?
Regretfully, Naruhodou Ryuunosuke
Dear Benjamin, when you say Barok treats you well, what do you mean? He must be unfathomably rich.
Dear uniquartz,
It is hard to overstate how much happier I am with Barok at my side. He provides money for my experiments, takes me on regular walks around London, even brings me to fine dining restaurants with seemingly endless options for food. I can hardly believe how long the menus are. A few weeks ago, he bought me a pet canary, as he knows I adore birds! What a fine man.
He has measured me for new clothing, and I am pleased to announce that I now have some more proper suits. He also bought me new lab coats, goggles, gloves, tools, and various safety gear. He has given me a room of my own wherein I may conduct all of my experiments--even some of the rather explosive ones--provided I keep water within the room to put out any fires I may cause.
He also offered me my own bedroom, but I felt as though that would be imposing too much. I offered to sleep on the couch, but he asked if I would prefer to sleep in his bed instead. I couldn't say no to such an offer... his bed is very comfortable. And on occasion, he wraps an arm around me and pulls me close. I believe it's because he's so cold all the time...
Fondly, Benjamin Dobinbough
To Iris Wilson: You're so talented and I'm so impressed at all the things you can do at such a young age! How did you learn all of it?
Dearest Trace,
Aww, you are so very sweet! I know that most children my age haven't achieved such things as I have, and it is so nice of you to compliment me like that!
As for how I learned it...
My Papa, of course! He has so many books simply laying around, and when he leaves on a case I read them all. He tells me about his deductions too sometimes, and I think I've learned his system better than he has. And, of course, there's experimentation... Maybe I'll show you my journals someday!
Signed, Iris Wilson
To Dr. Harebrayne,
Your transportation device thingy is impressive and all, but the real important question is:
can it run DOOM?
To zhorrot,
I don't know what you mean by this question, but I have been informed that Barok feels an immense sense of doom whenever he hears loud noises as I reconstruct my machine!
Despite the fact that I have quite expert help in the form of Enoch, Sherlock, and Iris, no science is without its own flaws, and bumps, scrapes, and minor blowings-up are rather common.
Thank you for your question! Albert Harebrayne
