Dear Mr. Holmes, erm, it's Gina. Inspector Gina Lestrade. You know who I am, we've met. This is probably a stupid question, but... would I be able to come live at Baker Street? Asougi can sleep on the floor. He said he's waiting on a special bed to come in for him. Or I could sleep in the same bed as him. Or I could sleep on the floor! I've certainly slept in worse places.
Inspector Lestrade!
How nice it is to hear from you! I have certainly been wondering if I would receive a request of such kind. There is always a spare couch at Baker Street if you so desire. You needn't pay rent if you cannot afford it, though I would certainly appreciate a spare bit of money. I am an avid spender! My methods are occasionally quite costly.
That being said, you are very near and dear to my family. It is clear that both Kazuma and Iris care for you quite a large amount. Kazuma has received the futon he was waiting on and therefore you could sleep in his old bed if you so desire, so long as you can put up with his general restlessness and tendency to stay up well into the night.
Please, come and enjoy dinner with us, if nothing else! Sit by the fire, recount some of your investigations for us, visit Iris's garden. We would love to have you.
Hi barokโฆ aah how exactly did you dad die?!?
Anon.
My father was a cruel, foolish man. He believed that he could conquer anything, and that included the great beasts of the plains of Africa. He kept such animals in his house without knowing what such "pets" would demand in terms of care. He and his servants were injured many times by the unruly beasts. He was eventually killed by his favorite of his pets, the snake. It was entirely preventable.
Lord Barok van Zieks
Dear Kazuma
You will never get it if you donโt ask Barok van zieks
Dear anon,
Assuming that this is in relation to the mysterious note I was given the other day, I asked Barok. He assumed it was about adoption as well, something that seems rather ridiculous, as I cannot be given up in that way anymore. I already have been adopted into a family and even so, I am at the age where I am now considered my own family of one.

What do you think?
Hello umi-teardrop,
I always think that the family trees people make to connect DGS with modern AA is interesting. I had a ton of fun creating my own family tree years ago, and I'm glad you had fun creating yours too.

William Shamspeare,
If you were a type of equine what kind would you be? Unicorn? Pegasus? Regular horse but with a flamboyant color scheme perhaps?
Best wishes
Dearest anon,
I haven't the faintest idea how you learned of my proclivity for horses. Majestic creatures, are they not? Whether tis nobler to be the beast that trots and whinnies in outreaching forests, or to grow wings through a seabound deity and by opposing use them.
I know that I am not a fan of the work horse. Though they have their place, I would not want to be used in such a way. I have always had a connection with the racehorse, the ones with an attitude, a prance in their step and a preference for various foods. As for colour schemes, I don't know how flambouyant a horse could be. Though, their racing uniforms can be quite fancy.
Signed,
William Shamspeare
To Iris Wilson: You're so talented and I'm so impressed at all the things you can do at such a young age! How did you learn all of it?
Dearest Trace,
Aww, you are so very sweet! I know that most children my age haven't achieved such things as I have, and it is so nice of you to compliment me like that!
As for how I learned it...
My Papa, of course! He has so many books simply laying around, and when he leaves on a case I read them all. He tells me about his deductions too sometimes, and I think I've learned his system better than he has. And, of course, there's experimentation... Maybe I'll show you my journals someday!

Thank everyone for all the asks they've sent in so far! I've gotten at least 6 asks tonight alone, and am working on posting answers for them. I'm having so much fun you would not believe working on this.
To the anon who sent the super long ask, I love it so much and I can't thank you enough for sending it. The answer will be out in a few days, as I have posts queued to be 3 a day for now so as to not run out of material. I may make it be more if I end up getting more asks.
Thank you all! I love you guys!

To Albert: What compelled you to visit Enoch Drebber at prison after all that has happened between you too? What are your feelings regarding him?
Dear anon,
That is quite a difficult question, if I am being perfectly honest. I felt as though I could not move forwards with my life if I did not discuss with him what happened.
He was a large part of my life for a great many months. I thought the two of us were friends, that we could continue to be friends, and I sympathized with his plight. While I hate that he did what he did, that cannot be changed. All I know is that the two of us were a fantastic team.
Furthermore, he is a very smart person, and I needed advice in some social scenarios I found myself in. I am hopeless when it comes to such things, but Enoch seems to find a way to the center of every problem. I have been coming back regularly... it seems he simply wanted someone to listen to him, and I have endless time to do so!
With care, Albert Harebrayne
yeahhhh Ben it might be a good decision to talk to Enoch or someone about it
Dear anon,
I fear you may be right. The moment I received this, I made up my mind to go and visit Enoch, not only to discuss his treatment of me, but also simply to... reconnect. Believe it or not, the two of us were friends, in the amount of time that we knew each other.
He and I never talked much about our personal lives, though, and discussing my feelings and life experiences with a man who hurt me so feels... odd. I know he had his reasons, but, even still... Perhaps when I share my thoughts with him, I can share how he made me feel, what he made me go through. It seems as though it could be cathartic.
Thank you! Benjamin Dobinbough
hi hello โ๏ธ anon here! I sent the "Dr. Iris" ask and the one abouch Enoch Drebber's past - did not put my emoji on them because I Deadass Forgot.
I can prouldly say I have read the entirety of the Sherock Holmes canon and oooooh I like what this implied - our Enoch is the son of the Study in Scarlet victim? 10/10 move
P. S. I haven't read your fic yet but I'm looking forward to it!
Hello again! Nice to hear from you once more.
Yes, you got exactly what I was implying! The Enoch we know is Enoch Jr., son of the victim from Study in Scarlet. If you've read that story you might be able to imagine why he doesn't like his dad and might want to leave his family.
P.S. that's okay, I hope you enjoy it!

I've worked on answering all the asks that I have for today, and they're all saved as drafts. Queuing is being weird, and so I have to publish them by hand. I am attempting restraint in not posting them all at once, but don't be surprised if they post in weird intervals.
I'm loving all the asks so far! Feel free to keep them coming!!
