a group of macedonian girls in attire from the maleshevija region huddled in a circle under a cherry tree. one of them is swinging on a swing tied on a tree branch, one of the others is caressing her face, another is pushing the swing from behind, and two girls stand by and sing songs. the lighting is a bright yellow coming from behind them, and sunlight coming through the leaves of the tree shining onto the two girls in the center. parts of the grass is lit up yellow from the sunshine. the tree has green and orange cherries as they are not fully ripe this time of year in that part of the country.

gjurgjovden is a celebration of nature for various peoples of macedonia. for ethnic macedonians, although the day bears a christian name, the traditions practiced stem from our pagan past. this illust depicts the tradition of young girls swinging and singing songs about crushes under a fruit bearing tree. cleavers are stuck on their clothes, so they stick to each other like the grass sticks to them. customs vary from region to region, so here i specifically focused on maleshevija, eastern macedonia, as well as maleshevski traditional dress.

gjurgjovden is about love as much as it's about nature to me. i celebrated it with my late grandmother, with whom i shared a name. i painted this last year, during the 40 day period of mourning after she died. the krpa here is like the one she gave me, that her mother made.

As a DM, I had to draw my party's character ! So here you have Silgir, Aasimar and Grandson of Sylvre (Sylvanus), a paladin of the order of Sylvanus ho protect the woods from the attacks of the king of the Beasts. Then Cor, the tiefling warlock that tries to hide from his party that he is a Warlock AND the son of two well known paladin of the empire. And last but not least, Gaellion, a ranger who just wants a decent life and a to get paid fairly.
