Bakugou: horrible bully, period. Monoma: likes to provoke innocent inter class rivalry, completely normal to want to compete w/ students of the other class. And hasn't genuinely been a bully to literally anyone

the first argument you see about class b being lesser than class a is when someone brings up monoma, particularly how he taunts and berates class a in eccentric ways. at this point, the sports festival arc when monoma points out how bakugou is “famous" for getting captured by a villain in middle school.

these taunts and jests are nothing compared to how bakugou treats everyone of class a. yes, that includes kirishima.

bakugou is known for his abrasive and demeaning behavior. not just by class 1a, but by the entire school as he makes an infamous reputation for himself (and for class 1a) just before the sports festival. he acts as if he is superior over everyone, including his classmates and even some teachers.

even with kirishima, who bakugou doesn't even call him his own name for a long time and still doesn’t do that most of the time.

monoma speaks as if it is the entirety of class b that is better than class a. monoma speaks highly of his fellow class b students. he lifts them up, points out their strengths, cheers them on, etc. monoma doesn't lord over other classes either as seen when he interacts with shinsou, just class a after bakugou makes it apparent he believes he is better than everyone else in the school.

even when monoma fails the mid term exams, he still finds it in his own dramatic ways to uplift class b even though he is the one who failed out of the whole class. monoma doesn’t value just himself alone above all else like bakugou does.

while monoma attempts to bring down class a as much as he can with taunts and words, he never turns to physical action unless allowed (sports festival, training camp, class vs class session, etc.).

bakugou turns to physical violence on top of his harsh words, especially against his own classmates. it's not an “honor" for bakugou to go full out on someone in a fight, he does that with everyone at anytime he wants to. see what he did to kaminari before they enter heights alliance for the first time.

monoma treats class b with praise and respect and not constant demeaning words, actions, names.

on the topic of comparing bakugou to monoma, monoma isn't also abhorrently ableist and abusive towards his peers for repetitive years just because he thinks he is superior. because monoma doesn't think that. monoma treats others, even those in lower classes, with more respect than bakugou has in his entire body.

monoma is better than bakugou by leagues indescribable to those unwilling to listen. if you truly think bakugou is better because he’s in class a and “more powerful”, then you’re not willing to listen to anything beyond physical/quirk stats.

and that's how i came out!! after this i told her i'd think about it and then not even 5 hours later i came back like "yeah i'm a guy lol"
