but mom how will other people know that you, a white Texan, are a Christian
I'm sorry but art needs it's context posted by it when in a museum. Not everyone understands why Malevich painted his black squares. Not all patrons will understand Rothko's thoughts pressed between his layers of paint. And not every one will be able to look at Kandinsky's symphony's on canvas and know what's going on. Every piece in every museum aught to have what it is, why it's important, and why/where it was created, and what reaction it got. I'm tired of the elitism in artistic culture that makes people feel as though they could never understand it. It's because they know the context and you don't! And museums have failed at that for years. It's their job to teach us, just as much as it's our job to be willing to learn.
So apparently Spotify thinks 1800′s piano compositions are explicit. I bet that c-sharp minor is just too spicy for them. A-flat major? Slow down there Brahms.
Here are some drawings I did when I was flying to Japan. It was the first time I drew what I was seeing through the plane’s window. これは、僕の日本の旅のスケッチ。行機の窓から描きました。は初めて初めてでした。

So, some of you probably might know that I live in Poland, and today I wanted to share a little talk about what happened in a city named Bialystok.
Basically, a few days ago there was a pride parade in this city. It wouldn't be so extraordinary, if it wasn't the fact that a lot of people were brutally attacked. No, seriously.
There was a bunch of shitty nationalists (we usually call them "narodowcy"), who were throwing firecrackers, glass bottles, stones and even bricks at marching people. They were also shouting homophobic slurs and things like "God, honour, Fatherland", "Our Father, who art in heaven" or "Get the fuck out of my country, faggots". My best friend, who attended the march, confessed to me that she and her girlfriend were hit by some firecrackes and it took them really long to finally bandage all wounds and burns.
I'm so disgusted by this country. I am already horribly afraid to take my rainbow bag somewhere or attach a little pride flag to my backpack, imagine what these people must have felt.
I also want to add that there were like 5,000 attackers, which is five times more than the marchers. Not to mention that right next to these homophobes there were baby carriages and toddlers.
Please, stay strong, my loves, no matter where you live in or who you are. We need to have hope for a better future. I am so afraid, I want to escape this place as quickly as possible.
Please, reblog this, we need to spread awareness, since media is fucking silent.

Don’t mind me, I’m just procrastinating…
Humans are mental. £198m for a footballer! Imagine putting 198 of the worlds greatest scientists into a room together for 1 yr and paying them £1m each.. the things they’d discover and create!
Today I went shopping at Buffalo Exchange and the fitting room attendant asked me what pronouns I use. I’ve never felt more respected in my life 🐙
also to die hard linkin park fans, I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t even imagine the pain you must be feeling right now.
I’d like to see a few different successful directors simultaneously direct their own versions of the same script, just to see how differently each film would turn out.
For something to be beautiful it doesn’t have to be pretty.

I really don’t care how you identify or which bathroom you use as long as you don’t make a mess and flush when you are finished.
A traffic light has more authority and power than I would ever have.
I wish you could just record silence and then play it on loudspeakers on full blast to make the whole room quiet.
Nothing sucks more than realising you were wrong in the middle of an argument.
