Good news, I fixed the resolution on my game. In all its glory the base engine has a really weird resolution that wants you to play in a small windowed mode, and trying to fullscreen stretches everything out and makes it looked real jacked up.
So that's fixed now, and I've fixed the screenshots on my Steam page that had a weird stretch on them to reflect the change.
Edit tho: I had to readjust the dialogue windows because as you can see in this example, they were still stretching out strangely in the resolution correction. So that will be fixed/look normal for stuff I post from here out!
Don't forget, if this game looks like something you might enjoy, you can wishlist it on Steam. Just a cute free to play about trying to navigate the dating scene with a yandere stalker guy ever-looming. It's a love story, albeit a toxic one. And some trauma exploration thrown in there for flavor.
Working on more maps for 2-Headed Boy, testing player collision and currency checks etc. Since there are no ushers yet I can just walk up to the concert without paying, but that will change soon™
Also started writing the first meeting with Yurei into the game.
Also I forgot to mention, could u turn on submissions :3 I drew a fan art that I wanna give
Holf f ok T^T
I'm such a nub with Tumblr I didn't even know my submissions weren't on. Let me just fix that real quick...
Reminder to take a break and drink some water!
p.s your working on the game rather quickly from what I’ve seen with developers it can take months / years to get to the point you’ve shown us and your doing amazing! Be careful of getting burnt out tho!
Oh wow ty :> I feel like I still have so far to go, like I'm still in the phase of laying the foundation for the game I guess, getting all the menus set up and working through mechanics, making maps, adding assets...
I've done a bit of writing the story into the game, but I decided to backpedal a bit with that progress as I feel there are likely more efficient ways to do certain things in the story and just within the engine, and I'll know those methods if I get the other parts set up first y'know?
But once that part is all done I can really just focus more on writing and drawing, and any future installments should theoretically take less time than the initial release since the framework will already be there.
As far as burnout, for sure! It probably doesn't seem like it but I do try to take time for myself too. It was finally nice outside today so I took a nice long motorcycle ride, since my lungs haven't recovered enough yet from being sick for a bicycle ride. And of course I took breaks to just wander around and enjoy the sunlight 🤍
Not much preference on spoon, he is ecstatic just to touch you
Would love if you wore his clothes but will "borrow" yours without asking (prefers if they are not washed). Not to wear, just as a comfort object for sleeping
Would use a pet name if you asked him but feels very awkward about it
Is not "introverted" in the sense of stereotypical "quiet, shy homebody" but being around everyone but Y/N drains him, needs downtime to recharge.
Not "extroverted" in the sense he is energized from being around people, but very outspoken and mouthy
Does not generally like killing anything, and if non-human especially doesn't like it (except for food). He will capture bugs and release outside, unless it's a mosquito, those are kill on sight
Reckless driver, prob should never give him your keys
Frightened eyes, looking back at me
Change your mind, don't care about leave without me
So excited to say that I took the leap yesterday and paid the $100 fee to publish a Steam page for 2-Headed Boy! Started the application process but I am waiting for them to verify my identity and tax info before I can even start making the page.
No release date set for this yet since I'm only a month into this project, but the entire internet and Steam itself seems to think it's never too early to get your page up.
I hope it's worth it and people like the game ;w; while I'm doing this for the love of creation and not money, I wouldn't hate it if anyone wanted to pitch in on the Steam fee either (I've actually sunk a few hundred into this already between software programs, plug-ins, assets, art supplies, a basic light box etc.)
Anyway if anyone feels so inclined to contribute please follow the link below 🩶
Will there be an option to buy furniture for the house?
I've considered this one but no plans to implement that at this time. It would take a ton of scripting to do something like that in RPG Maker MV and further extend the release time, and I'm already having to kind of slow down production because of the time of the year.
Edit: what I could do with this, is write the script setup for it into the release though, so that the bones for it is there on release and then on a succedent update I could do the longer process of adding in all the items, putting them in shops and as mission rewards etc. I'll have to think about it but it's not a priority right now
Only the review for the Steam page, not the game, I'm not that fast D: But hopefully they approve my page and I don't have to make 10,000 revisions or anything
