Teddy Bear Pt1
“Alexandra Margo Teddy, you are being sent to Camp Green Lake as a punishment for your crimes. You will be participating in the girl’s housing program.”
Bang! The judge hit the hammer to the table and the decision was final and off I was.
I sat relatively towards the back of the bus. In a window seat. Hell of a drive so might as well look out the window. Apart from me in the ‘Renovated’ School Bus, there was the driver, obviously, and three police officers. I personally think that’s excessive, I look innocent enough.
I had been braiding my hair on the ride up so it now hung loosely in two Dutch braids. I rummaged through the small drawstring bag I had been allowed to bring.
I felt the bus stop abruptly. “Oi! Get up.” It was one of the police officers, his badges read: ‘Karl Hargrow’ I stood up and swung my bag over my shoulder, hitting him in the process. Intentional or not, I can’t say.
I stepped off the bus while the officers took their positions, one behind and one either side. Wasteland, that was the nicest description I could give it. It was dry and scorching hot and looked like water was a foreign concept.
As we walked, I saw a few buildings, tents with a letter spray painted onto the side, and a wooden cabin with the only tree I had in seen in hundreds of miles. We walked into a modern-ish building, well modern for out here. We got to a door with a plaque reading the name, Mr Sir. Officer Karl Hargrow knocked on the door.
An old man with the most unimpressed look, opens the door. “Mr Sir, this is Alexandra Teddy” Said one of the other officers. The old man looked me up and down, “Well go in then” As I stood in front his desk, the old man paced behind me, finally slumping into the chair.
“My name is Mr Sir and you shall address me as such. You are in here for a reason that, frankly, I couldn’t care less about. That’s the councillor's thing. You will dig one hole each day, 5 by 5. Your shovel will be your guide. And don’t piss off the Warden, cause then I’ll have to deal with her.” Mr Sir said.
And some lanky dude walked in. Red faced, thinning brown hair and some plain clothes, shorts and a t-shirt. “I’m Mr Pendanski, the camp councillor. You must be Andrea” “Alexandra” I corrected, damn the only girl here and can’t get my name right. “You need to meet the other boys,” He started, “As you were probably told, you are talking part in the Girls housing program at Camp Green Lake, so as if current, the only girl.”
As he was blabbering, I was following him down a corridor, reading the signs as we passed them: Camp Councillor’s, Staff, Kitchen, Dining Space and finally Rec Room. “Well this is we’re all the boys are right now, I’m going to pull the boy out who will be chaperoning you to begin with.”
I stepped back, out of view and head Pendanski calling two boy over. I head Pendanski talking about the Girls Housing Program and such so it wasn’t so weird.
“So this is who you’re going to be watching over” “But she’s a girl,” A dark skinned boy with a bandanna said. “Last time I checked” I said almost immediately.
“Did you not listen at all when I was telling you about the Girls housing program?” Pendanski sighed and continued,
“I’ll leave you two to talk for a moment, I will be cal to show you where you’ll sleep Alexandra” Pendanski says and he then walks into his office down the hall.
“So your name’s..” “Alexandra Teddy” He snicked, “What?” I asked. “Nothing” he said, yeah right, “I just think Teddy suits you, you seem too innocent to be here. Just like a Teddy Bear.” I rolled my eyes at him, “What’s your name then?” “X-Ray” I sniggered slightly before covering up with a well timed cough. “What’s so funny about X-Ray” “Nothing, I mean you seem as boring as something in the e doctor’s office”
He gave me a slight glare and said, “Well come on Teddy bear, the group don’t even know why I’m out here. Better show them you” He took my arm and pulled me inside the Rec Room. Only one table looked towards the door and paid attention for more than a glance. “Yo X-ray, who’s that?” “Guys meet Teddy Bear. Newest here for the Girls Housing whatever” I again rolled my eyes at the stupid nickname I had now acquired .
This is gonna be a long 18 months.
“Pay attention Teddy Bear!”

This is a gift for my IRL friend . I suck at drawing ocean creatures, but I tried to make his tail look like a great white. I did something a bit different with this one and tried to do a speed paint type thing. The quality is not great but it gets the point across

this is a something I did for art class. We were supposed to draw something using pen and ink, so I did the line art with a ballpoint pen and sharpie pen, then colored the rest with whatever markers I found in my room along. the white outline is a white gel pen.
Sorry for my lack of activity. after school gets out I’ll be posting a lot more often and will maybe do some requests :)
