A few weeks have pasts and you have been bounced around from Hashira to Hashira so the 12 kizuki won't find you and so far its worked.
You liked all of the Hashira but your favorite was Giyuu and Obanai. You liked how Giyuu didn't know how to take care of you so he let you do anything you wanted. Obanai hates you, you know that and love to 'bully' him.
For the next 2 weeks you will be with Rengoku. With Rengoku you felt like an actual child, it made you miss father even more.
currently the flamboyant (in in tengens words) Hashira was picking you up from the butterfly estate.
"Y/n, it's time to go." Rengoku called as you said goodbye to Shinobu who sent you off with a smile.
It sent chills up your spine.
The walk to Rengoku's house was mostly silent but you broke it with a question.
"It's been a while and I haven't even seen a demon do you think father doesn't care about me?"
His eyes widened as he thought of an appropriate answer (if they could). It was awkward to say the least.
'Probably should've stayed quiet.' You mentally groaned at the heavy silence.
"Your father strikes me as the strategic type, from what I've heard about him, he might be waiting for the right time. When your father does come for you..."
You drowned out his voice as you felt yourself tearing up. You missed your father, you missed the 12 kizuki. You'd run if you could but you didn't want to worry any of the hashira.

On the way to the train you go. Rengoku was good company, he never treated you any differently because you were a demon. In his eyes you were still a child.

Doma laughed at his outburst further angering Akaza to his boiling point. Akaza was mid jump before kokushibo caught him.

The kakushi that had found you decided to bring you to Kaguya's estate. You had no concept of time so you had no idea how long it's been since you've been gone.
Surely you father has noticed by now and is on the way to get you.

Once you reached you destination you were thrown into a room, you thought you were in by yourself.

If it were any other demon she would've killed you by now but since it was you she thought it was cute.

So haha, small idea for demon slayer, gn reader (demon or human doesn't matter) X shinobu, and they have a really bad habit of chering on their skin. It's so bad that the skin on their hands is basically non exsistant on some parts. (They never chew on their fingers, occasionally the do their thumb but yeah)
:> it's not intentional but it kinda just happens, you can make angst out of it, but I was thinking more just fluff of shinobu taking care of reader, maybe telling them off for biting themself so much.

Shinobu was applying an ointment she had just made for you in hopes it would get you to stop. It never did.
You've been like this since you were born.
After she was done applying the ointment, she cut you nails, much to your dismay, you started to feel itchy not even a minute later.
Shinobu was always so kind and gentle no matter how mad she was. She looked out for you, like an older sister. Scolded you like on too.

She really wanted you to stop.

This continued for about a month. She would scold you while putting ointment on, you would mock her while she wasn't looking, and you'd go on about your day. A few weeks ago, you found that your hands arms and legs were getting worse.
Your usually red and scabbed skin was now blistering with green oozing from it.
Today you decided to ask Shinobu about it.
You went to look for Shinobu, finding her in her medicine room.
"Umm Shinobu do you know what's wrong with my arms." As you were presenting your arms to her you saw how her eyes widened.
She gently grabbed your arms and examined them. She took a deep breath before speaking
"You've got an infection. How long have you had it?"
You shrugged. She took another breath.
of course, she had noticed this for a while now, but she thought it would eventually go away. There is nothing good that comes from getting an infection like you have.

"Papa. Papa! I made a flower. The flower you always talk about. I thought real hard and it popped out of the ground." You practically screamed at him jumping up and down. l He wouldn't be able to keep up with you if it wasn't for the flower in your hands.
He picked you up and examined the flower in your hands. He smiled, a smile that make you feel proud. There are very few times Muzan gives affection and right now is one of them.
You cherish this memory.
It's been a year since then and you've been helping your father making demons stronger.
Muzan had made a special room for you that looks like a flower field. Here you practiced your art or just hung out because it was peaceful. sometimes you wished to see an actual flower field but your father didn't want to risk it.
The demon slayers knew he had a child. Every attempt at taking you ending in failure.

Alright so I thought about something really cute, mitsuri x demon reader that works in the food industry, like reader if very clearly a demon (has two little cute horns on the side of their head), but they work specifically in food delivery. Cuz yk, food delivery at night, kinda dangerous as a human but as a demon 👀
So mitsuri ordered something and suddenly reader shows up with her food. But she let's them live cuz yk, they did their job and seem like an honest to good person.
Maybe mitsuri orders more often 👀 and they fall inlove 👀 I mean reader is a cute demon after all 👀

Ah the graveyard shift. No one wants it but someone has to take it. Luckily for your co-workers that 'person' was you.
Everyone knew you were a demon and because you took the tasks that no one wanted they didn't care. You liked the graveyard shift (mostly because of the sun) but it did get lonely sometimes.
Nothing but the moon to keep you company on your deliveries. That was until you made a delivery of snacks to a demon slayer. A Hashira no less.
Mitsuri Kanroji
'Shit' you thought has she stepped out of her estate. You quickly but gently placed her snacks down and tried to cover your horns.
"Are you alright?" she asked coming up to you ignoring her order. You backed away.
"I'm fine I just thought something hit my head was all." You awkwardly chuckled as Mitsuri didn't buy it and came closer.
Gently taking your hands away from your head she was your horns and gasped.
'My life is over' you mentally sighed not even trying to fight.
"Oh, you're so adorable!" He exclaimed hugging you to her chest. "I'm not going to kill a demon who's done such an amazing job. You even set my treats done gently."
Once she was done squeezing you to death, she tipped you (I imagine her as the most generous tipper) and sent you on your way.
From then on it seemed like Mitsuri only ordered a delivery at the dead of night. It's not like you were complaining you finally had someone to talk to.
Sometimes if she was your last delivery, she would invite you to sit and eat with her, spend the night or more😉

It happened in a big blur you had followed your father out of the infinite castle to his other family when you were taken away by the kakushi.
They took you away. You don't know where you are but it's no where near home.
They put you in a room without windows you didn't understand why, living in the infinity castle they had loads of windows even if they just lead to other rooms. You've never seen the sun and your father had taught you to fear it.
The first person you saw was a man with a scar covering the top half of his face. He had a soft smile of his face matched with a soft personality. You couldn't help but feel at peace whenever him and his children came by.
Days had went by with you in his care. You didn't mind staying in the small room but you did miss your father.

The mark took it's toll on you but that wasn't going to stop you from celebrating your last birthday.
You gather the rengoku's and had a small party. You wanted no one to cry, so they didn't.
After the party was over you went into your room for your final night. You wrote letters to everyone you knew saying goodbye.

It started off as a small fever that unfortunately got worse.
It was constant ups and downs. Some days you could walk around others you were bedridden. You could barely lift a finger of those days.
Sanemi
He used to distance himself from you but when he heard you were sick he moved you to his house.
He spent everyday he could with you. He even got along with genya in front of you.
When you passed he drowned himself in work. Not stopping to breathe.
It was a sad sight to see.
Obanai
You were his rock. When he herd you were sick he couldn't believe it.
You who had helped him at his lowest.
Now it was his turn to help you.
He did the best he could till you suddenly died.

This happened before giyuu became a hashira.

my idea for a what if (not a request) for Male Reader x demon Slayer. so Reader is a evolved demon like demons tried experimenting on themselves to become immune to their weaknesses and Reader is the result but he escaped and kills everyone and turns out he can also feed on demons just like humans and turn them into evolved demons like himself and he becomes stronger with every kill and the demon Slayers hear about him and send some to kill him and becomes a one sided slaughter because turns out the experiments made him immune to nearly all demon weaknesses except for the sun so and his rapidly rising up the food chain and becoming a treat to not just the demon Slayers but to muzan as well
if there was a demon reader like that I feel like he would resent everybody. like if anyone got too close, hostile or not he will kill/eat them. He doesn't like demon slayers or demons. If he had the chance he would eat muzan not because he wants the power but because he can. He would build is own army just to spite muzan.

A village had been plaqued with a demon for over 2 years. Just walking around the place was depressing. Especially because it was your home village.
Everyone there was pale and extremely thin. They couldn't stand up for themselves even if they wanted to.
In the village there was an orphanage. 2 adults and 25 children, before the demon but now it's no adults and 7 children.
Most of the kids are under 5. It made you cry seeing your village in the state it was in.

Can I (please) request how the hashiras would react to a Shy Reader? But it's not the "UwU super cute!" Kind of shy, it's more of a "omfg are u a phscycopath?".
What I mean by this is that you never verbally talk to them, you usually watch them from a far (they usually sense that somebody is watching them so they always look up into the trees to see you there, just observing them). Whenever you are caught by one of them, they usually just wave at you and you just nod back dismissively.
Did I mention the fact that you absolutely hate too much noise? You hate it so much that you'll even become aggressive over it. What I mean by even becoming "aggressive" is that if you think that it's too loud, you'll usually send them a death glare that is enough to shut them up. But if you continue having to do so, you'll just end up punching them, square in the face (hard enough so they pass out lol).
And you also take out all your anger on killing demons, so you're much less likely to actually punch them.

You were escorted by a kokushi to be put on trail for your life.
"Are you sure it's a demon. It can stay in the sun without consequence." A slayer sitting high in a tree with a snake said as you arrived with the kokushi.
"Yes sir, he can regenerate and doesn't die from normal attacks on him." The kokushi bowed to them. "But his-" they weren't able to finish as you were grabbed away very roughly by the wind hashira.
He held you by your hair and put his sword to your throat.
"Let's see it.”
“WAIT DON’T-” You screamed as he cut your head off. They all watch as your head disintegrates and your body falls lifeless.
After a few minutes your body starts to regenerate, excruciating sounds similar to screaming can be heard for miles as your blood demon art activates.
The first to be affected by it was Mitsuri and Tengen, they both cover their ears in pain, soon the rest follows. The pain was similar to getting your head ripped off nerve by nerve.
The sound doesn’t effect Kyojuro as much as the other seeing as he busted his eardrums but even with busted eardrums he felt the pain.
when your head was fully regenerated the sound stopped and you panted with your head down in exhaustion. Looking up from the ground you see the hashira with their hand still covering their ears. You didn’t even notice Kagaya and his children sit on the engawa completely unbothered by what happened.
“My children what has happened.” He said.
'It didn't effect them?' you thought to yourself.
“I’m sorry sir I tried to warn master sanemi about Y/n’s blood demon art." The kokushi bowed many times to master kagaya.
"It's fine, I hope everyone wasn't hurt to badly." He replied looking up at the hashira gripping their head except for Kyojuro.
"WE ARE FINE MASTER." He said enthusiastically making the other groan.
"Please don't yell Kyo, if you couldn't tell the rest of us are in pain." Tengen groaned. Kyojuro chuckled while patting his back over mitsuri's head.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause any trouble." The kokushi helped you up while you talked.
"You didn't. Sanemi is a wild card, you couldn't have known what he was going to do. Now to the problem at hand. What are we going to do with Y/n." He said with his usual smile even though it's a grim topic. "Y/n what is your story."
"I lived in a village until it was attacked by demons. The villager thought it was my fault and kicked me out. I've killed every demon I've come across, I'll never kill or eat humans. My father taught me my morals." You said looking kagaya in the eye.
"Seeing as one demon is among us with no problem I don't see why we can't accept another, especially one who doesn't seem to want to hurt us!" Rengoku exclaimed not as loud this time but still loud enough to make tengen shudder. By now tengen was the only one still in pain.
"A demon is a demon soon enough it will have to eat, who knows who it'll kill." The snake hashira said. You hated the way he refered to you as it instead of a person.
"Well we've seen a demon who is capable of protecting others, I just want to keep a close eye on him." Shinobu said. After she said that it was a moment of pregnant silence before someone decided to speak again.
"I'll vouch for him. I believe we could learn from him. He's half human after all." Shinobu said with a raised hand. Everyone was shocked. "He stayed at the butterfly estate for 2 weeks and hasn't shown any signs of demon tendencies. In fact he was been a wonderful guest." She said smiling to you.
"Well then does any one object to shinobu monitoring Y/n." Nobody said anything. "Hmm, Y/n will be under the watchful of shinobu."
You life is now in shinobu's hands.

She was surprised when you came in on a stretcher with the girls trying to get you stable.
Shinobu wanted to know what happened but never got a full answer as you struggled to tell the full story.
You had brain damage.
Like muichirou you forgot a lot of things. It got on shinobu's nerves to no end but she would never let you know that. As usual she would smile and help you remember anything you forgot.
You worsened throughout the years.
Mitsuri
Absolutely heart broken. She had no idea what to do, she always went to shinobu to help.
You had a fractured skull and a piece of your skull was lodged into your brain until shinobu removed it.
She helped you learn how to walk, talk, and eat properly again.
She loved you with every fiber of her being and nothing would change that.
Giyuu
When Shinobu came to him completely serious he knew something was wrong.
You were never the same. They were moments when you would stare off into place losing all since of reality.
In moments like this you would almost look dead, if he tried to snap you out of it you would have severe panic attacks.
Giyuu didn't know how to react. He was obviously sad but he couldn't just focus on himself, he had to be there for you.
Tengen
after the incident Hina, Makio, and Suma was always at your side. They felt like they were partly to blame cause they were there when it happened.
Thankfully nothing too bad just things like flashback or flinching at loud noises and sudden moves.
Uzui acted like nothing changed, he made you feel normal.
Rengoku
When you came back from the butterfly estate after a failed mission all you did was stare into the distance.
Rengoku laid off a couple missions to be with you but you didn't even acknowledge that he was there.
Barely spoke. Never smiled. Dead eyes.
He broke down in front of you once. All you cod do was rub his back and try to smile. It just made him cry more.
Sanemi
When you came back from your 6 month mission you always dropped the subject on what happened and said something like "it went well" or "not much happened I promised. It was barely a success.
But ever since the mission he noticed weird things you do like, flinch whenever he yells, hits something, staying up some nights saying "demons might be near", and training is out of the question. Along with a bunch of other habits that you started after the mission
You obviously had PTSD and he didn't let you go undiagnosed. Under the direction of shinobu he adapted to your habits andade you as comfortable as possible.

You heard about a cult with a suspicious leader. Normally you would ignore things like that but something about it was drawing you in.
"Well, well who do we have here. You a strange one, who are you better yet what are you." He spoke while circling you.
"That is none of your concern demon." You spat back, hand going near your sword but your sword was knocked out of the hilt and slide away from you.
"Nu-uh~ I can't let you do that we barely had any fun yet." He whined.
He was weird.
Akaza
It was on sight.
You didn't get a chance to examine the situation before he started throwing hands.
This man barely gave you a second to breathe.
He kept saying you already had the looks to be a demon and might as well become one.
You didn't want to fight him or turn into a demon.

You never thought you'd end up in the red light district of all places, but you knew your senses were never wrong.
Honestly you were creeped out. You were watching from a far as Uzui beheaded daki.
Watching gyotaro emerge from her back like that was weird.
Seeing as they were already in battle you decided to leave them be.
Kokushibo
You knew him before he became a demon. You thought he was an excellent swordsman, but now you were upset that he was a demon.
"You abandoned your humanity for power. It saddens me to see you like this. You had great promise but now I don't know." You said facing away from him neither of your swords drawn.

It's was night so Tanjiro thought it would be a good idea to let Nezuko stretch her legs.

When you saw Nezuko you didn't see Tanjiro or anyone else for that matter and went for the kill.
You were blocked by Tanjiro's sword.
"Please wait she's not gonna hurt anyone." He pleaded pushing back against your blade.
You looked at the demon in question she didn't look like she was gonna hurt anyone, so you took a chance and decided to let her go.
Tanjiro sighed out of relief falling to his knees to bow. "Thank you so much Mr. I-" when he looked up you had disappeared. Even Nezuko was looking around for you.

It's not the first time he saw you but this is the first time you've come face to face.
He saw you from afar as you killed demons. He thought you were cool, you also where he got the idea to be a dual wielder.
Back to the present
"HEY FIRE GUY, FIGHT ME." He yelled at you while running towards you, swinging is blades like a mad man.
When he was running you walked out of his sight thanks to the trees so when he got yo where you were you were gone.
This only sparked his interest more. One day he swears he's gonna fight you.

Mitsuri was out on a mission when she saw blue flames in the grass forming a trail and decided to follow it.
It led to a clearing in the forest. In the middle of it was a man in traditional samurai attire. Mitsuri
He had just finished off a demon and was in the middle of sheathing his sword when he turned in Mitsuri's direction.
Mitsuri cowarded behind a tree.
"No need to be afraid I'm here to help." You said extending your hand to her. She started to come out from behind the tree.
*crack* a tree branch broke behind her causing to look. It was nothing but when she turned back to you, you were gone without a trace.
Rengoku
Rengoku was training when he saw you run by leaving a trail of blue fire behind you.
He ran after you. Noticing him trail sing you stopped and turned to him.
"I can sense you are a slayer of great strength, hurry there are demons ahead." You said as you started running again with him now near your side.
When you both reached your destination Rengoku immediately got to work on the demons terrorizing the town.
When he saw no more demons left he tried looking for you in vain.
Giyuu
You scared the fuck outta him when you appeared outta nowhere to kill a demon.
"Who are you." He didn't mean from it to come out so rude but you took no offence.
"I am a samurai ghost rider. I'm here to vanquish demons and nothing more. I'll be on my way now." You said sheathing your sword and walking away not waiting for a response.
Giyuu stood there in shock watching you walk away. 🧍♂️
Tengen
Tengen had heard stories of a Samurai killing demons in villages but didn't believe it. At first at least.
When he was almost home from a mission he saw you in the corner of his eye walking by with blue fire trailing you.
When you two made eye contact he waved yelling about how flamboyant you looked

Much to his surprise you came out of no where and killed the demon he was fighting without a problem.
He stood back and watched as you killed every demon that dared to face you.
When you were finished you looked at him and he looked at you.
It was like a staring contest until he blinked first. When he opened his eyes you were gone.

When he first saw you he thought his eyes his eyes playing tricks on him. A man with the skull for a head on fire doesn't seem possible even in a world full of demons.
He tried his best to avoid you at all costs and you didn't want to bother him.
Sanemi
He was chasing after a demon.
So were you.
It just so happened to be that the demon he was chasing was the same one you were.
You killed the demon first. Sanemi was beyond pissed. He tried to kill you cause you looked like a demon.
