I think JC would have not wanted to stay on New Earth for long, because one other person for the rest of their lives is too little, even if they love each other. I mean, would you want to live in isolation for the rest of your life with only one person to talk to? I think at the end of the episode they were sad about their romantic relationship end, but definitely happy to be back again with their friends and potentially see their family members again. I love Resolutions fanfics, but I always find unrealistic when authors describe a long happy life together just the 2 of them for 30+ years... Chances are, even if they love each other, they will be saturated with each other and bored even after just a year (what could they tell each other eventually, if all past stories are told and if all their present life happenings they both are always there?). What are your thoughts?
I love the complexity of feelings in Resolutions. In my opinion, they were happy to return to the ship, because even if they were stranded with their Love of their Lives, they still need & want other human interactions e.g. with friends and family. (I think being condemned to see only one person for the rest of your life is a torture, even if you love that person). I interpreted their sadness at the end of the episode as being sad that they didn't have enough time to experience and build up their romantic relationship. Do you think it is reasonable to be sad not being stranded with only 1 person for the rest of your life?

Good news: Prodigy season 2 was confirmed November 2021 and will also have 20 episodes! It will release later in 2023 and production is already underway.
So Star Trek Prodigy is an absolutely excellent show full of heart, wonderful storytelling, endearing characters, beauitful art and music, and a great balance of episodic and overarching storytelling that many of us have wanted Star Trek to find! Also there are some fun throwbacks that feel mostly purposeful and thought out and not too gratuitous! Lovely season 1, highy recommend to any Trek fan and hoping there will be a season 2!
That last image is like out of a painting!
This show is gorgeous, we all know this. But can we take a moment and appreciate how beautifully Starfleet Headquarters was rendered?
There's the wrong way, the right way, and the Janeway.
the food situation on voyager is so fucking dire compared to every other star trek series like their chef is cooking for a bunch of alien species heâs never encountered before and has no idea what their palates are like so heâs just throwing shit at a wall and hoping it sticks, they can barely use the replicators, and they canât even go over to the captainâs quarters for a nice homecooked crew meal because unlike every other starfleet captain sheâs so bad at cooking she can burn replicated water. thatâs the real horror of the show tbh
I wanna know what Admiral Janeway's doctor saw that made them order her to give up coffee - and worse, what convinced her to follow that order. I mean, this is the woman that drove her starship through some mysterious Delta Quadrant nebula just to get her caffeine fix!! Whatever her condition is, it must be nothing short of total bodily annihilation.
I love that Mariner's ideal mentor is Janeway. She is my people.
We have come full circle. Happy Threshold Day 2024

[First Image description: Comic is in a simple cartoon style. Harry, Tom and B'elanna, are in the captain's ready room, standing in line with their hands behind their back. Janeway is standing upright with a stern expression in front of them, she scolds them saying "So... I expect you three to follow a better behaviour, I don't expect to be dissapointed... Is that understood?". Harry, Tom and B'elanna, looking to their sides with expressions of discomfort reply "Understood, Ma'am." Harry by accident says instead "Mom". The three of them realize what Harry says and Harry starts to sweat nervously. Janeway stops looking stern and raises her eyebrows. END ID.]
[Second Image description: Harry, Tom, B'elanna and Janeway are in the middle of the captain's ready room drawn in stick figures. A spotlight is shining on top of Harry, Tom and B'elanna, Harry sweating and standing straight while Tom and B'elanna are peering at him. Janeway then asks "...Did one of you... Just call me mom?". The art style returns to be cartoony and Harry immediately tries to answer "No, ma'am", but B'elanna interjects saying "YES, MA'AM". Tom also tries to interject, instead saying "Yes, mom-... Shit", and then looking down flustered with Harry peering at him with a smug grin and B'elanna exclaiming "HA!" at him.]
[Third Image description: Janeway crosses her arms and looks at them with a fond expression, she then shrugs and smiles saying "Come on, 'Lanna, don't make fun of my kids". Tom covers his face with his hands muttering "Whyyyy", While Harry pats him in the shoulder condescendingly. B'elanna flusters at the nickname and exclaims "Mo- CAPTAIN" and becomes more flustered. Harry and Tom both peer at her from their previous positions with smug grins. END ID]

âEven if you are correctâeven if it was this captain, and even if she has been searching for meâthere is no evidence that her intent is malicious.â âNot yet,â Kathryn grumbled. âBut sheâs willing to break the Temporal Prime Directive. More than that, sheâs already admitted to having done so multiple times. Thatâs not nothing.â

Synopsis:
After Captain Janeway contracts an illness during an expedition to an uninhabited planet and orders USS Voyager to leave her behind, a certain hardheaded Astrometrics officer isn't so keen on abandoning her Captain. As Janeway and Seven learn to navigate the strange new dynamic forming between them, it becomes apparent that the planet they now call home has a much deeper story to tell--one that seems to defy logic, reality, and even the natural order of time itself. ----- This is a standalone fic but can be read as additional worldbuilding to my "For the Optics" series. Timeline runs about a year prior to the events of "A Binding of Stars."
This is beautiful.
âRememberâ
Many, many months ago now, I asked what Janeway outfits people wanted me to draw ⌠and then I didnât really do any drawing. But I finally finished this!
This outfit from âRememberâ was suggested by @thresholdbb as well as @darksideofthecoffeebean who specifically mentioned playing the instrument. @prettypinkdork said âMortal Coilâ which is the same outfit, though I will get to drawing a shot from that episode too.
There is too much white in this outfit. Lol. It didnât help that I was also doing a drawing of my brother in a white button-down at the same time.
Iâm not sure what Iâll draw next, but if you have any suggestions, feel free to suggest them!

âMy Federation no longer abides by this decree,â she said, and this time, the electronic voice was lower, more thorny. The mechanics of her eyes ceased revolving as she and Janeway watched one another. âThey sanctioned my research and my mission. We were losing the war against the Klingons. This was all we had left.â âIt seems we wonât need any specialized equipment to locate our differences, then,â Janeway said in return, raising a brow. âWar or not, meddling with this kind of tech is wrong.â

âYou still believe there are survivors,â she declared, her words flat as her lips thinned. âThe statistical likelihood of survivors is less thanââ âI donât care about statistics, Seven,â Kathryn cut in, shaking her head. âSurvivors or not, Starfleet or not, weâre not alone here. It explains the ladder, the doorâand thisâŚthing.â

And as the Admiral "...people who LOVE YOU." đ
Janeway in love with seven is like the most precious thing bc she keeps her emotional self kinda private from everyone on board but then *bam* SEVEN, anything to do with Seven and suddenly she's showing everybody her weakness unintentionally bc she's so deep for this woman she doesn't even realize she's telling the whole ship she's in love with her just by being in sevens court at every turn without any regrets. I love janeway. I love how janeway loves seven. I love how kathryn janeway allows herself to love seven, unequivocally.
For anyone following The Measure of Logic who might be wondering if I know what I'm doing or actually have a plan...the answer is YES! ...as long as I never, ever lose this $3 notebook.

âYouâve done this before,â Janeway said in something tight and quiet like a whisper. âIt is a logical remedy to attempt.â The Captain smiled a bit. âAlways logic with you, is it?â she asked. Sevenâs hand stilled, just for a second, while she contemplated the answer. âNot always.â

âThat looked a bit like a bad re-entry, didnât it?â Kathryn asked the ex-Borg, who was toying with a strand of the cords at her own waist. âCertainly didnât look like a meteor.â
âI witnessed identical phenomena on 11 separate occasions this morning, each occurring between 3 and 5 minutes from the previous event,â Seven explained, glancing at Janeway. âI do not believe this is a natural occurrence.â
