sex is fun but it isn't sacred which is part of why we even fight for bodily autonomy and privacy in the bedroom. one night stands and quickies and casual sex are all morally neutral. to mythologize sex as the ultimate intimacy through which people eternally connect is ridiculous and serves only to empower the christofascist regime which uses sex and intimacy as simultaneous weapons of oppression and beneficiary incentives for everyone to stay in line with the status quo.

sex is fun and it feels good and there is nothing wrong with having sex. at the same time sex is nothing particularly special or great either. It's just another thing humans are capable of. we give the concept of sex too much power tbqh.

Being a weird little girl as a kid provides two options to you: becoming transgender or becoming a weird adult woman. Both of which are things the world needs more of

Listen to me babe. Failure is normal and part of the process. If you never fail, you're not making true progress. You're just regurgitating prior process.

I don't know why society is so obsessed with perfectionism and never making a mistake ever, but that's not how it works. You're going to forget to upload an assignment. You're going to miserably fail a test. You're going to get a speeding ticket. You're going to make your little sister sad. You're going to kill some plants. You're going to get that quiz back you were so confident about and realize that you got 1 question right. Those moments are when true learning take place instead of memorization and regurgitation.

This is why in math they make you show all your work and on science and reading they made you explain all your answers and choices with a paragraph. It highlights your thought process so you can analyze where you were right and where you were wrong. And it's ok to be wrong! No one is ever right all the time.

Don't let anyone shame you for being bad at something. Remember that they had to learn to walk and chew and talk and write and read and they didn't succeed the first few times in any of that. We should be building people up and acknowledging their faults as a way to learn and grow, not as a source of shame and despair.

Just realized something and I think some of you need to realize it too

Being in *any* unprompted pain means there's something wrong

you don't need to be in agonizing pain to get help, the human body isn't supposed to be in any pain

when I was a little kid at some point I got upset with my parents because I didn't have a crucifix in my bedroom and they did- I was like why do YOU get to be safe from vampires??? you're okay with me getting my blood sucked???? so we took a little trip to the catholic store but the one closest to us was run by a group of nuns that had been moved here from romania. I got a little baby pink cross and this sweet old nun was like 'aww, is this a baptism gift?' and I was like no. I need to be protected from vampires. and she immediately got SO serious and was like 'this is the best one we've got, you'll definitely be safe' and since she was literally from vampire land I was convinced she was like, van helsing. like the whole time my parents had been laughing about how cute my fear was but she literally Knew dracula and was taking my concerns seriously I held this over my parents for so long lmfao

So we definitely need more positive representation of DID, but you know what would be funny? Mildly inconvenient representation of DID.

Oh the world is ending and you need to know about this one specific thing? Yeah I have a guy for that but he doesn't feel like fronting right now

Sorry what's happening rn is this the bad guy? Yeah I just switched in idk what's going on

I know you're dating one alter but we're currently co-con with another alter who hates you so idk how I'm feeling rn

And just who do i think I am? It's funny you should ask that I actually don't know right now

The kids on TikTok think that just because he was a classic country singer, Johnny Cash was conservative??? My babies he covered a Nine Inch Nails song in his seventies.

Classic country singers (the majority of which came from poor roots) were always talking about how much The Man sucked because they were taking money from poor rural folk. You’re gonna tell me that’s conservative?? Get outta here.

HOW AUTISM CAN INTERACT WITH A COMPLEX DISSOCIATIVE DISORDER

higher rates of introjection - this is something commonly spoken about in the online CDD community, meaning it is a shared experience even if there is little proper medical research on the topic. however, it has been observed that some autistic pwCDDs have more introject alters (specifically fictional introjects - sometimes called 'fictives') than their allistic counterparts. this may be due to hyperfixation on fictional media, or splitting alters sourced from special interests.

splitting due to overwhelm - meltdowns, shutdowns and other reactions to overstimulation in autistic people can lead to splitting new parts, as these situations can be highly stressful.

autistic traits differing per alter - since autism is a neurodevelopmental disability that affects the entire brain, every alter will have some variation of ASD. however, different alters may struggle with/experience different autistic traits! where one alter may struggle more with, say, language and communication skills, another alter may be more proficient in that area. however, the second alter may then struggle instead with a compulsive need for strict, unbroken routines. this is how the spectrum can present differently in different alters.

unpredictable social situations and the stress of social interaction can cause more switching - as social situations can be more stressful for autistics than our allistic counterparts, it should be noted that these can be triggers for rapid switching! we may rapid switch in order to find a part that is best suited to handle the situation, which can end in switching multiple times as a lot of autistic people struggle to cope in uncomfortable social situations, such as at school/work, during conflicts, or at events. (written with input from @kityenok; thank you!)

semi-verbality, verbal shutdown and abilities to communicate varying per alter - in autistics with variable ability to communicate, the proficiency at communication can vary between alters! in semi-verbal/semi-speaking pwCDDs, some alters may have a few more words than others, while others struggle more than the rest of the system. in autistics with frequent verbal shutdowns, there may be alters who rarely if ever experience speech loss, while there are others who are permanently in a state of verbal shutdown. the ability to communicate non-verbally (using body language, signing, or even using assistive technology and speech-to-text) can fluctuate, with certain alters being less effective at using these methods than others. (note: from what i have heard from non-verbal/non-speaking pwCDDs, all alters tend to lack mouth words. if this is inaccurate to your experience, feel free to share!)

of course, there are more ways that autism can influence and interact with alters in CDDs! if you would like to add to this list, feel free to do so. ^^
