Doing dimension practice, sphere timeeeee
The atrocities I would commit to be blessed with the privilege of cultivating a stemonitis specimen, specifically stemonitis splenden, is beyond comprehension. I literally almost changed my teaching major to microbiology for this thing.
This may not look like much but it's one of my favourite finds. Stemonitis slime molds are not fungi, not plants, not animals but fall into the secret fourth 'everything else' basket. They move around, they hunt, they mate and produce fruiting bodies, they do their own thing and defy expectations. 10/10 no notes, you magnificent little weirdo.
it looks a lot cooler on my actual drawing app because I color matched the background but i forgot that doesn’t translate well as a standalone picture, anyways heres the hallucination fella that I see at night :)
*stares at my translucent husband intently, while he literally talks about gnawing on me like a dog toy for funsies*
Hey you all know about that fungus that possesses ants to make them climb on the tip of grass blades in hopes of getting eaten by a cow, so that the fungus can continue its life cycle in the cow's guts? Because I think that's the kind of thing that's wrong with cave divers.
We don't know what's down there. We don't know what's gotten into their heads that makes them so determined to physically, personally go down there to find out. But I wouldn't entirely dismiss the possibility that whatever has gotten into them is very invested in getting eaten by whatever is down there.
This is my silly little murder victim, she comes back as a vengeful ghoul and gets exorcized by a lesbian nun that she totally doesn't have a crush on. She got killed by her cruddy boyfriend, he gives her intentionally laced edible brownies, steals her money and her car and her dog, and then he makes an autobiography using her money that paints her as crazy. I would become a vengeful ghoul too atp tbh.
Guys I have finals rn and I'm so scared I got the wrong time I'm gonna throw up and I forgot my anxiety medications at home omfg ehat is wrong with meeee
Was doing some art homework, and i felt like turning it into some fanart of the Milk from my fav childhood book “Fortunately, the Milk”
I love putting consistent symbolism in my art based solely on my own trauma. Will people get it? Probably tbh, the symbolism I am using is unique or new, but oh boy tying it to my own interpretations is so fun.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE SLIME MOLD I LOVE STEMONITIS SO MUCH EVERYONE STFU AND LOOK AT IT
