I definitely don't want to see Spider harmed, he's a sweet kid and deserved far better than what he's been getting, both in and out of universe, and he did nothing wrong.
That said, the Sully's aren't gonna see it that way.
Granted, you're right about Spider, he didn't betray anyone, and he saved the life of someone that showed he cared... during a hostage situation, sure, but it's more than the kid usually gets, and even without that, he likely would've saved the jerk anyway, because SPIDER IS NOTHING LIKE HIS FATHER. (well, maybe the same capably crazy energy, but that's it)
BUT, the Sully's have been dealing with this psycho Colonel's bullshit for too long already, they've lost so many of their community and family, the whole famn damily done with this man, and they thought they were rid of him... only for Spider to save him.
I still say he's not wrong for it, but the Sully's are equally not wrong to be mad about it, though they would be wrong for trying to kill him for it (I'm looking at you, Neytiri).
Since everyone assumes the worst if and when the Sullys find out Quaritch is alive because of our boy Spider. Let's think this through.
He didn't betray them. They betrayed him and left him to Quaritch. He had every right to save someone who saved him from torture.
If anything this is a chance for the Sullys to reward his loyalty and love because he could have chosen to go with him but he didn't.
Quit wanting Lo'ak to kill his best friend. Quit wanting Netyri to kill a boy who just wanted to be apart of their family and endured torture for them.
I swear there is something deeply wrong with this fandom.
I just ran into this on my feed, and I'm having trouble looking up the info, so maybe someone here could tell me (please?);
What are endogenic systems and traumagenic systems, in regards to mental illness (and maybe autism)?
There's a new streamer on Twitch to whom I've offered my support. S1entP1nkGam3r is a big fan of horror games, though also plays some action adventure titles and a few others. Please check her out on Twitch!
I am so glad I found this! I wish someone knew how to redirect my headbanging when I was younger (thankfully I mostly grew out of that one), or that other stims were okay; I used to be gotten onto a lot for any kind of stimming, but a few persisted to now, much to my family's annoyance.
don’t know what parent of an autistic child needs to hear this but as long as they’re not harming anyone your kid’s stimming is not a “problem behaviour”
Can this happen? Obviously not canonically, but I want to see this happen.🥺
I just think Plo Koon would have some things to say to Krell
Anyone else notice that when Hunter said that they are "CT 99s", Gregor said "defective clones"? As in that's what being a CT 99 means?
One particular clone's name just went from odd (and perhaps a bit interesting) to sad (and me wanting to punch whatever clone named him that).
I betting Mic did their hair; originally only gonna do Eri's, but then Eri wanted Aizawa to look pretty, too.
can I interest you in some dadzawa :’)
This. This is the post I need to show my family. Thank you for putting this into words.
Explaining autism to an allistic is exhausting.
Because most of the time, in my experience, they don't listen to what I'm telling them that it's a disability and that we force our square shaped selves into the circular world everyday and that slowly erodes the edges of who we are.
They're looking for hidden meanings in order to get Autistics to behave more neurotypical. They want to see us become circles.
I explained why we don't use functioning labels any more. And they will say "yes, but you do function more than some." As if it's an "Ah ha! Caught you!" moment.
I was even told today that I obviously find this all easy. Because I hold it together at work.
And I just get so tired trying to explain that I'm not "Aspie". I'm not "high functioning". I'm not "on the spectrum". I'm not "mostly neurotypical".
We're Autistic, goddamnit.
YES.
Wrecker would be all over the sporty toys, to the point that the whole Batch would get on to him for tossing balls in the ship and breaking things. I think dodgeball would be his favorite despite no one else wanting to play it.😅
I think Hunter's version of toys would be... well, kid-versions of things that are useful, like kid's first knife or magnifying glass.
Echo would get her a datapad more like snag one from Tech and fill it with books. Kids got to build up here reading skills and knowledge of the Galaxy and it's many laws of which she'll definitely break a lot of in the future.😆
You know what really gets me upset about the bad batch. (Dont worry this isnt criticism, just some fluffy angst)
They never had a childhood.
Omega, as messed up as her childhood is, she has the boys as father figures, she has Lula and the trooper doll, her own room with fairy lights, she plays ball with Cut's kids. The bad batch never had that.
So I have a headcanon that when Cross gets home and they all live happily ever after :))) whenever they buy Omega a toy or Omega plays games they join in. I have a personal headcanon that Crosshair and Omega stop at a stationary shop and Omega sees a colouring book that she likes, but Crosshair, he finds the mandalas, and hes fascinated by the ornate patterns and precision required that he buys the mandalas, the colouring book and a pack of crayons. And Cross and Omega spend all day colouring in together.
Tech absolutely has a Rubix cube that he fidgets with and he teaches Omega how to solve it, along with many other little puzzles.
If you have a headcanon like this then please comment it because my god is there possibilities galore and our boys deserve a childhood as much as Omega does.
Finally, someone put this into words! Crosshair is a relatable antagonist! Say it louder for all the haters to hear!!!
I also think this works as a good way to explain his behavior without the chip (yes I think it was removed, though I doubt the Empire was behind it, there's no reason for them to do it).
Crosshair is really the only character in the Bad Batch that I care about, and a lot of people hate him. Which is fine because he's a fictional character, that's your right, but I just find him so interesting.
Chips and treatments and other manipulations aside, he's a person who has been told his entire life that his only value is as a weapon and a killer, and he decides to stay with the only people who still appreciate that value.
He doesn't question the morality of his actions because he's never had to before; they always trusted the republic were the good guys but what choice did they have, really? What choice did any of them have?
He's too prideful to fade into obscurity, and that's his flaw. But his reality is that he only has one skill to offer the world (or at least, he believes he does) so his options are limited, and none of them are particularly morally upstanding.
He's someone in a difficult position who makes mistakes and bad decisions, who feels abandoned by the people he loves, and who is willing to do anything to prove his worth, and I find that infinitely more entertaining than characters who do no wrong.
You can't be "bitches" by yourself, the word is plural... but since I'm in the same boat, it makes sense.🤣
bitches be like “i love the bad batch.” No, you love the specific found family trope because chances are you grew up lonely with no friends and the fact that the bad batch members are all different and are accepting of differences feels like a big warm hug because you’re probably queer and/or neurodivergent and felt alienated because of it since a young age. It’s me, i’m bitches
Yes I talk, or rather text, too much. I mostly just add my two cents to other posts, but I'll try not to where it's not welcome.
