Random 10:30 pm thought: In ‘All That Glitters’ Mike seduces Gwen and then takes advantage of her attraction to him to feed off her, acting against her bodily autonomy, an act that can and does turn people into his thralls. This is generally treated as akin to sexual assault, he’s completely irredeemable, most horrible villain on the show (not an exaggeration, I’ve seen him referred to as worse than Vilgax and Servantis)
In ‘In Charm’s Way’ Charmcaster seduces Kevin and then takes advantage of his attraction to her to seize control over his mind and body, acting against his bodily autonomy, an act that can and does literally enslave him to her will. This is not generally treated as akin to sexual assault, she’s easily the most redeemable character on the show (even moreso than Kevin himself), our own personal Woobie Destroyer of Worlds
Why?
i know ive got some extra veins and extra nerves, im hoping one day acting cool will make me feel self assured
(if i had a nickel for every time ive drawn transgender vent art using gwen as a vehicle id have two nickels which isnt a lot but its weird i did it twice)
We follow three main point of view of the story in the movie. People ask for Yori's pov, but i don't think we can't have his pov, that's why :
The movie starts with the mother's pov then it switches to the teacher's pov because he is the monster in her story in her pov, for Mr. Hori the monster is Minato (in his pov he thinks the young boy is a bully) then the story switch to Minato's pov. I think the monster in Minato's pov is himself. The Point of view switches to the monster in the other story. (idk if it's understandable but i wanted to talk about it)
Yori isn't a monster in anyone pov. So with how the story is build we can't have his pov.
(+ we have a glimpse of the headmistress' pov after the mother and the teacher's one, she is kinda their monster too in a way.)
Snape was definetely a bitch to his students, but at least he was a somewhat responsible teacher. He'd make his students scrub cauldrons or clean nasty potion ingredients for detention, but it wasn't him who sent 1st year students over to Hagrid's to wander around the Forbidden Forest at night ON THEIR OWN with only a dog at their side, while something unknown is attacking other creatures.
Y'all call Snape a terrible teacher for being scary and mean and abusing a toad, but I don't see anyone uttering a word about Hagrid and McGonagall literally endangering children's lives: McGonagall for thinking that sending 1st year students who had 0 experience in defense and fighting to accompany Hagrid into the Forbidden Forest at night was a reasonable detention (note: students had been warned multiple times to not enter it as it was a very dangerous place). And Hagrid. He deserves his own post on that scene alone.
Bro would have been dead furious if 11 year old Malfoy had told him about Hagrid separating him and Neville in the Forbidden Forest at night with only a dog as "protection" while some creature was actively hunting.
tylenol 🤘

If this is not their dynamic then what it
Maybe I'm in my own echo chamber but I'm so glad more people are starting to realise how annoying and absolutely hateful the marauders fandom is and how much damage ATYD did for it AND the Harry Potter fandom in general. When did this fandom turn into a Wolfstar and Jegulus digital shrine? So many interesting characters and stories and opportunities to explore and you choose to regurgitate what a random fic incorrectly tagged as canon complaint says?
I'm not even joking, it has gotten to the point where literal adults with fully functioning brains lack the comprehension abilities to form their own opinions about characters.
I'm not saying that people arent allowed to enjoy non canon compliant work because they absolutely are and I encourage it because that's the whole point of a fandom and fanfics in general but it also goes the other way around when fans start raging at you because you tell them to engage with something outside of ATYD for once and to explore characters beyond somebody else's scope.
It's annoying when you arent allowed to have fun or post a character without somebody bashing you for liking them and redirecting their hatred for a character AT YOU.
For example, ATYD paints Snape as a rich, stuck-up pureblooded fascist creep who deserved to get bullied when its actually the exact opposite and everybody goes along with it.
ITS BORING AND REPETITIVE. It takes away so much fun from a fandom.
Pls ppl. I am begging you to open your minds up a bit and think for yourself instead of regurgitating some rando's opinion in order to fit in.
Also, what's up with critiquing everybody and their mother for not agreeing with your boring ass ship??
for me snirius is strange. canon sirius does not consider snape his equal. he is furious that dumbledore trusts severus
They’re natural enemies with awful tempers, and both were emotionally dependent on their best friends—who ended up marrying each other. They both carry guilt, they’re both deeply dysfunctional adults who never really grew out of adolescence, and every time they’re together, they act like bloody children. They’re two sides of the same coin, and honestly, for anyone who loves a good enemies-to-lovers trope, it makes total sense to ship them. Especially because both characters are complex, contradictory, and have massive personalities—which makes them super fun to explore in a fic. But hey, in the end, it’s all a matter of taste, and everyone vibes with different dynamics.
Personally, what I really love are the fanarts—mostly because they’re hot as hell, and lately, they’re the only place where Sirius is actually characterised properly. Because lately sometimes the image of Sirius in fanarts seems to me cringe as hell.
ah well, people can be a bit stupid about their pets.
