RAT Redo!

The previous rat model and feature-set wasn’t up to par with what I want Naturality to be, so here’s the NEW reference sheet / feature list. Rats are found in abandoned structures around the Overworld, and also spawn in forests.

The model for these guys will be done next week. For a variety of rat color variants and some more info on rats and mice, check below the cut!

There’s more than these, I swear! Anyhoo, rats are tameable by feeding them seeds and crops, and can perform a lot of menial tasks for you, from farming to hunting. While one rat is relatively weak, a swarm of them can overpower nearly any foe.

Mice spawn naturally in nearly every biome, and will return to their nest blocks at night. These blocks can be silk-touched, and work as a storage block for mice and rats alike. Mice can detect infested blocks.

While itemized rats are really only useful for storage (rat depository when?) and warning of danger when in your hand, itemized mice can be used as bait for larger creatures, weather forecasters and some other secrets. Rats and mice both dance to jukeboxes.

friendly fellas that inhabit the overworld's freezing wastes , these emperor penguins are curious little fellas who enjoy a good fish and are fiercely protective of their young ... when not being devoured by a polar bear !

Presenting the Turkey Vulture! These lovely large avians soar high above the blazing biomes of the Overworld, searching for any carcass they can eat. If fed meat these birds will lead you to treasure. Special thanks to @lover-corvin for suggesting these critters, and making their concept art.

hi. might i suggest also: glowing nautilus (or normal nautilus is also fine i just like it when things glow) (new shell variant if glow? new conduit w night vision for. caves. or something)

also have you considered. pheonix/firebirds for mythos. idk how much you have planned out for that since theres no content on the blog yet but. elemental birds? fire, lightning & hm. wind? i want to go for a third energy element but the only one i can think of is plasma & idk how youd differentiate that from lightning. ice?
