They symbolize the strength of your commitment, and are a constant reminder of your love. Can I please have the ring for Remus to give to Sirius?"

But the entire audience was distracted by a huge trumpet noise as James Potter blew his nose dramatically, tears waterfalling down his face as he move to cry into Peter's shoulder. "They're just - so - fucking - beautiful!" he sobbed, stomping his foot on the floor.

Both Remus and Sirius, who were holding hands and teary-eyed, looked him up-and-down. "Erm, Prongs?" Sirius hissed, fighting a grin. "I know you're having a moment, over there? But I'm trying to marry Moony before he realizes what's happening and runs off!"

Remus chuckled. "Fuck, is that what's happening?"

The crowd tittered.

"Sorry, sorry," James apologized, wiping at his eyes. "The rings, right." But his hands shook, and as soon as he looked over at his two friends, dressed in suits with matching boutonnieres, holding hands and smiling at each other, he lost it again.

In the end, Lily had to run over from Remus's side and dig the rings out of his pocket as he succumbed into wails.
