DSMP Small Town AU

ok so this is gonna be clumsy and probably a little ooc at times, but I made an AU!!!! this is just the basic idea cause I couldn’t figure out how to put down everything I had, but I’ll add the other bits in other posts. Ask me anything, suggest headcanons, go nuts! Inspired by @dazenightmare’s store au, so check them out, but anyway here goes nothing!

Phil, Techno, Ranboo, Tommy, and Tubbo work at Techno’s garden supply store

Techno is the owner, but he leaves most of the managerial stuff to Phil

Wilbur sometimes helps out

They play unassuming videogame music over the store sound system. Tommy snuck Pigstep onto the playlist, and he and Techno rap to it sometimes

Tubbo likes to watch the bees in the flower bushes

Techno has a potato plant in his office that’s older than Tommy and has produced ungodly amounts of potatoes

The garden store doesn't have a uniform/dress code because it's just whatever Phil will let them leave the house in

Tommy and Tubbo once made a fort out of bags of mulch

Wilbur, Fundy, Niki, and Quackity work at Wilbur’s pawn shop

It’s kinda the hangout place

Their “uniform” is a flannel. 

Wilbur blasts closing time by semisonic to tell his employees to go home

Quackity creates a civilization in the unexplored back corner of the pawn shop and manages to kidnap most of the candy store staff plus Karl. Wilbur is incredibly confused

Friend is a stuffed sheep that showed up at the shop one day and Wilbur took one look at it and went “this is the entire backbone of my emotional stability now”

Tommy and Tubbo sometimes help out

Tubbo likes the rotary dial phone and Tommy likes the spoons

Someone pawned a set of boomwhackers. Chaos followed

Bad, Skeppy, Ant, and Sam work at the Nook Cafe

It kind of becomes a place that moms can leave their kids at while they run errands because they’ll be taken care of

Skeppy acts out little stories for the kids. He always asks the kids who should be his princess in the stories and they always say Bad. Bad protests every time but always gets into it and has fun with the kids and Skeppy

Bad bakes the kids treats

There’s this one little boy who is just constantly clinging to Antfrost. He wears a cat hoodie

Sam keeps their appliances running

They have one coffee machine that Sam has been wrestling to keep running for years. Bad refuses to replace it because Skeppy named it

Dream, Sapnap, and George work at the candy store

Dream is just managing in place of the absentee owners

George handles the chocolate because he’s colorblind

Sapnap likes giving kids free samples

Dream is good at making old fashioned hard candies 

Sapnap gets mesmerized by the taffy puller often

Someone shows one of them candy store from heathers and now all three of them sing it or catch themselves humming it all the time

Karl is an author, Puffy owns a flowershop, Shlatt is Fundy and Quackity’s landlord, Eret drives the town’s singular taxi, and Purpled makes money running errands for the townsfolk and various businesses in town.

When I was wide awake this morning, I started thinking about what my own version of Robbie would be like. This list is the result:

Innocent boi - soft and gentle

He soft, but he attac (don’t hurt his family or anyone small and helpless)

“Mouth not make words…right”

Clumsy, but he tries (he has two left feet and his grip isn’t that great)

He’s surprisingly great at coloring and is always cautious when holding small, fragile animals

He exists because Marvin was playing around with an old spell book in a cemetery (gosh dang it Marvin). He tried to hide Robbie, but the curious zombie couldn’t help but shuffle out of his bedroom when the other egos were making so much noise.

Anti was silent and didn’t say much when they were introduced, but he was the first to offer when he needed a place to sleep (he quickly decided that the poor zombie needed a big brother mentor to teach him.

He likes soft things and small places (he hides sometimes to find comfort), but he is terrified of absolute darkness - it reminds him of being trapped underground.

He’s the shortest, but he insists that’s only because he can’t really stand without slouching (sure Jan…)

He is a SASSY bugger when he wants to be.

Marvin and Chase help him improve his communication beyond grunts and ‘yes’ and ‘no’

Anti and Schneep work with him on his motor skills (Schneep mainly helps him with his walking, while Anti plays catch and little games with him)

Jameson, bless his heart, was the one that taught Robbie how to properly use eating utensils. (”Robbie don’t need…fork” *proceeds to shovel food with his hands* Jameson about had a heart attack)

So yeah, that’s what I came up with. I might start writing about him, I don’t know

Hey so I kinda doubt many people will see this, but does anybody have Sanders sides fic recommendations for just... a lot of familial and platonic cuddling? I feel like projecting my need for affection but I’m too lazy to look for fics myself.

some very important info re: paid accounts~

I am not a lawyer, but I can decently interpret legalese and, being as I also suffer from tl;dr syndrome and assume others may as well, I took one for the team and went through the updated TOS for the post+ accounts and highlighted (what I understand to be) the most pertinent information, which ultimately comes down to this:

You cannot monetize copyrighted works (aka charge and earn money from fanfic, fanworks, etc) and if you do decide to put your fanworks behind a paywall via Tumblr, when you are inevitably sued, Tumblr will not protect you and will not defend you and you alone, personally, will be responsible for whatever monetary damages said lawsuit results in.

If anyone is a lawyer and knows I've gotten any of this wrong, please do not hesitate to correct me/this post.

1. Your paid account will not be hosted by tumblr; it is routed through a 3rd party.

2. By signing up for a paid account, you're entering into an agreement with Stripe, so in addition to Tumblr's TOS, you are also bound to Stripe's TOS.

3. Stripe, like Tumblr, will not defend you or protect you against any lawsuits.

4. Furthermore, you may end up owing Stripe money (indemnify = compensate)

5. Tumblr's TOS specifically states that you can't put any content on your post+ account that violates any laws, including laws that protect intellectual property rights of others. This is super important, because Tumblr's post+ FAQ also states that you can post anything that you would regularly post on tumblr, which I'm sure many will take to mean that gifsets, fanworks, etc are fair game, since all of that stuff can be posted on tumblr now. However, the difference is, you're not making money from the fanworks you're posting or reblogging now. Once money enters the equation, the game changes.

Tumblr is making it seem like any and all content goes for post+ accounts, knowing 90% of this site is fanworks. This is not true and you'll be opening yourself up for lawsuits if you charge for fanworks.

6. Tumblr further disclaims any and all liability in any legal issues.

tl;dr: Please do not make a post+ account, bc you will be opening yourself to lawsuits and if that happens, Tumblr's response will be not our problem, you agreed to all the terms which said you couldn't do that, sorry not sorry. Please protect yourself.
