Your best friend Yoongi just confessed his feeling for you. You leave him standing there even though you feel the same way. He deserves someone better.
Mentions of anxiety/depression
âY/N I think Iâm falling in love with you.â Your best friend just confessed his feelings for you. Your heart wanted nothing more than to wrap your arms around him and pull him in for the kiss youâve wanted for so long. Your brain on the other hand told you that you werenât good enough, youâd just bring him down with you, and that heâd leave you once he realized just how hard it would be to be in a relationship with you. You looked at his face for the first time. His perfect skin and gummy smile. His eyes that you wish you could drown in. His hands that you knew had a fandom of their own, holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers. You softly whispered, âYoongi, you donât want to fall in love with me.â
You started to run back to your apartment ignoring the calls from Yoongi and leaving him standing alone and rejected in the park where you two first met four years ago. Once back home you immediately fell onto your bed. Your best friend just confessed his feelings and you left him there. You kept telling yourself it was for his own good.
You started thinking back to the day the two of you first met. It was late at night and you were sitting in the park after your shift at work. Something happened that triggered you to have a panic attack so you went for a walk trying to calm down. Yoongi was walking by after also having a bad episode with anxiety when he noticed you were crying. He had asked you if you were okay or if you needed help. The two of you spent the night talking and venting and it quickly turned into a very close friendship.
As time went on Yoongiâs anxiety and depression started to lessen. He still had his days but he was having a much easier time coping and learning how to manage it. You on the other hand were getting worse. No matter what you did you couldnât shake the thoughts. The only times Yoongi ever put his work aside were when you were feeling down. Heâd be over to your apartment in a heartbeat or heâd shut off his computer and hold you close in his studio. He knew what it was like and he never wanted anyone, especially you, to feel that way. You always felt guilty afterwards. You hated that heâd put his work on hold because of you. Thatâs the big reason why you walked away from him today. You didnât want to be that burden on him. Even though you loved him from the start you knew in your heart that he should fall in love with someone who was strong, who didnât need him to be there to pick up the pieces, someone who could be there for him instead. He needed someone that wasnât broken.
Thatâs when it started to hit you. The walls felt like they were closing in. The room was spinning. You couldnât breathe. You sat down on the ground and pulled your knees up. Slowly you rocked yourself back and forth trying to calm down. Normally this would be the time youâd call Yoongi. Heâd drop everything and immediately come over but you couldnât call him now. Not after what happened.
You closed your eyes and started counting back from 50. Something that Yoongi taught you to do. â42,41,40,39âŚâ You were focusing on your counting when you heard a deeper voice join you, â31,30,29,28âŚâ Strong arms snaked around your waist. You looked and saw Yoongi sitting next to you. He nodded as if to say continue. The two of you counted down to 1 and thatâs when he helped you up to the bed. You watched him grab your favorite pajamas handing them over to you, âIâm going to get you some warm milk. Get changed and get in bed. Iâll be right back.â You did as he said although you werenât sure why he was even here after earlier.
Yoongi came back handing you the warm mug, âHere drink this. Itâll help calm you.â After a few sips you placed the mug on your nightstand. He took off his jacket and got in bed next to you pulling you close to him. You started crying once again. You were crying at how gentle he was being and how once again he came to your rescue. âY/N do you want to talk about whatâs making you so upset?â, he said rubbing circles on your back. You couldnât stop the words from coming, âIâve been in love with you for years but I donât want you to fall in love with me. You deserve better than this. You shouldnât have to waste your time taking care of someone like me. Someone whoâs broken.â
By this point you were balling and in full panic mode again. Yoongi started tapping on your forearm, another one of his tricks to help manage anxiety by taking your mind off of it. âY/N I appreciate the thought but you donât really get to tell me who I can and cannot fall in love with. Youâre not broken by the way. Some people just need extra love and care for whatever reasons and thereâs nothing wrong with that. We met because of these reasons. I will be there for you at all times both good and bad. Iâm not just falling in love with you. I am in love with you Y/N. ALL of you.â, he said bringing your face up to look at him. He continued, âIf you genuinely donât want to be with me I wonât force you but I want you to know that Iâm here because I love you. You think youâre broken but I donât think anyone is ever broken. I think sometimes we mentally and emotionally receive little cracks but cracks can always be fixed. It just takes a little glue and some time. Iâm willing to be that glue for you and I will give you all the time you need.â
He always had a tender way of explaining things to you. You rested your head on his chest for a while just listening to his heartbeat and letting the gentle rise and fall of his breathing calm you while you thought about what he said. âYou know youâre really starting to sound a lot like Namjoon with your analogies.â, you whispered. âYeah I think Iâve been spending too much time with him lately. But he does know what heâs talking about most of the time.â, he said with a chuckle. Slowly you both started to drift off to sleep. âYoongi, Thank you for falling in love with me.â, you said while peaking up at him. He snuggled you a little closer before kissing your forehead, âI love you Y/N.â
⥠chocolate opal âĄ
⥠Pairing: boyfriend!yoongi x reader
⥠Summary: While out celebrating your engagement, you hear a drunken confession from your fiance that risks destroying everything you've built together.
⥠Genre: angst/fluff
⥠Word Count: 912
⥠Warnings: strong language
⥠A/N: This was a request for some happy ending angst with either Bang Chan or Yoongi. I went with Yoongi since I don't get requests for him much and I just adore him to pieces.
You havenât spoken in what might as well be an eternity but the pain in what was said, pain caused by repeating those whiskey-laced words he whispered to his best friend late last night, has settled deep within his bones. They splinter and crack, the rotted core of a once beautiful home now fallen to ruin in a matter of seconds.
Itâs almost comforting that youâve partially turned away from him, a sea separating you across the dining room table. Heâs sure that if you were to flutter disappointed lashes in his direction or let out a heartbroken sigh heâd crumble to nothing. âIs it true?â you ask, softly closing your eyes in anticipation of the answer.
The "it" in question is that heâd proposed to you before he felt ready. Eavesdropping had never been the plan when you stepped outside of the restaurant to check on him after he said he needed some air. Namjoon had tailed him out the door so you trusted he was in good hands. Still, what kind of fiance would you be if you didnât at least peek out to see how he was?
Your peek, quiet with the sole intent of not disrupting whatever bonding moment was occurring between the men, is how you overheard the admission. âWhat if,â Yoongi mumbled, wavy locks of coal pressed against Namjoonâs shoulder, âWhat if Iâm not ready for this? Maybe having a wifeâŚâ You turned back around, seeking shelter from your own little apocalypse in the noise of the crowded restaurant.
Disassociation. Itâs the only way you made it through those next few hours. Laughing and smiling, exchanging loving glances that you both knew were a facade, as everyone admired the newly engaged couple. Disassociating your way home, into the shower, and into the darkness of your bedroom where, only once you were sure he was out cold, you cried enough salted tears to make your cheeks raw in the morning.Â
âIs it?â you repeat when your question is met with silence. Yoongi straightens his back, clears his throat, cracks his knuckles. âHmm,â he exhales in a tone that gives the answer away before his lips can, âIt is.â With only enough tears left in you to moisten your lower lids, weeping isnât an option and so you laugh. At him. At yourself. At the 500k diamond ring on your finger that might as well have come out of a cereal box at this point.
Everything that meant anything to you is all just one big joke. You rip the ring off, tossing it across the table. He doesnât react, not even a little, and that drives the knife in your back straight through your heart. You're bleeding out. Why canât he see that? How canât he see that? Would it even matter if he did? Choosing not to stick around to find out, you storm off towards the bedroom to gather a few things of yours.
Nothing major. Just enough to hold you over at a hotel for a few nights while you pieced together the ruins of your shattered heart. At least, itâs what you wouldâve done if Yoongi didnât have his fingers wrapped around your wrist, refusing to let you take another step. âPut it back onâ he insists, struggling to slip the ring back onto your resistant fingers. âWhat for? You donât want me.â
âI never said that.â âBut itâs what you meant! That you donât want me. That âmaybe having a wifeâŚââ Yoongiâs up from his chair in an instant, your wrist still in his hand, his body close enough to yours that your noise nearly brush. His eyes gleam like polished chocolate opal, as close to crying as youâve ever seen him. âThat maybe having a wife isnât meant for people like me. Maybe I will only fail her.â
Yoongi sets you loose, the ring clinking onto the pristine marble floor. âMaybe,â he sighs, warming your cheeks with his palms, âIâm too broken for her. But you know what Joon told me?â âWhat?â âShut the fuck up and stop being an idiot before you miss out on the best thing thatâs ever happened to you.â The laughter that escapes you this time is genuine and, strangely enough, your body suddenly finds the tears to shed. Yoongi dries them with his sleeves, âSounds like something heâd say doesnât it?â âYeah, it does actually.â
The pain leaving his bones at the sweetness of your laughter, he retrieves the ring once more, remaining on one knee, hands trembling as much as the first time he asked. âI'm sorry I hurt you. I didn't mean to, I just...I do feel broken sometimes but Iâm never more whole than when Iâm with you so please will you marry meâŚstill?â
Easing down onto your knees so that youâre at eye level once more, you kiss him like you never have before. âYou arenât broken, Min Yoongi and you wonât fail me. You are the best thing thatâs ever happened to me too.â Yoongi smiles, taking your hand and returning the ring to its rightful place, âI love youâŚbut if you ever throw this at me again Iâll glue it on in your sleep.â
You roll your eyes, pushing yourself back onto your feet, âI love you too but there wonât be a next time, okay?â âOkay,â he says, four letters encompassing the pages of love notes he holds for you in his heart. Four letters magically conveying that there wonât be a next time because he trusts what he hasnât been able to with any woman before you. That heâs sincerely and truly loved.
synopsis: Y/N experiences a breakup with their partner, leaving Jungkook feeling sympathetic towards Y/N. However, amidst the sorrow, Jungkook also senses a certain sense of liberation.
The night was quiet, save for the soft hum of the city outside Y/N's window. She sat on the edge of her bed, staring at her phone, the words of her now ex-partner, Han-Jung, still fresh in her mind. Their breakup had been inevitable, a long time coming, but that didn't make it hurt any less.
Y/N and Han-Jung had been together for years. They had weathered storms, shared dreams, and built a life together. But as time passed, they realized that they had grown apart. The love they once shared had slowly eroded, leaving behind a sense of emptiness and resentment.
With a sigh, Y/N finally dialed a familiar number, and after a few rings, Jungkook answered. He was a friend who had always been there, a constant presence in Y/N's life.
"Hey," Y/N said, her voice trembling. "I just⌠I needed to talk to someone."
Jungkook could sense the vulnerability in her tone, and he immediately offered comfort. "Of course, Y/N. I'm here for you. What happened?"
Y/N recounted the painful details of the breakup with Han-Jung, her voice breaking at times. Jungkook listened attentively, offering a sympathetic ear and words of consolation. But as he listened, he couldn't help but feel a certain weight lift from his own heart, a feeling he was almost afraid to acknowledge.
When Y/N finished speaking, Jungkook hesitated for a moment before saying, "Y/N, I'm so sorry you're going through this. It must be incredibly tough."
Y/N nodded, tears glistening in her eyes. "Yeah, it is. But it's also⌠strange. I should be devastated, right? But there's a part of me, a tiny part, that feels⌠relief."
Jungkook swallowed hard, his voice trembling as he replied, "I can't pretend to fully understand your feelings, Y/N, but sometimes, when something is broken beyond repair, finding the strength to let go can be liberating in its own way."
Y/N wiped away her tears and looked at Jungkook with gratitude in her eyes. "Thank you, Jungkook. Your support means the world to me."
Over the weeks that followed, Y/N and Han-Jung began the difficult process of untangling their lives from each other. It was a painful and emotionally draining experience, but there was an undeniable sense of freedom that began to emerge from the ashes of their relationship.
Jungkook continued to be a pillar of support for Y/N, offering his friendship and understanding. As they spent more time together, Y/N began to notice something different about Jungkookâa warmth, a kindness, and a depth of connection she had never truly appreciated before.
One evening, as they sat together on Y/N's balcony, watching the city lights twinkle in the distance, Y/N turned to Jungkook. "You know, Jungkook, you've been an incredible friend through all of this. I don't know what I would've done without you."
Jungkook smiled softly. "I'm just glad I could be here for you, Y/N."
Y/N took a deep breath, her heart racing. "There's something else I need to say, Jungkook. Something I've been feeling for a while now."
Jungkook looked at her, his curiosity piqued. "What is it, Y/N?"
She hesitated for a moment, then took his hand in hers. "I think I'm falling in love with you, Jungkook."
The words hung in the air between them, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. Jungkook's eyes widened with surprise, but then a soft smile graced his lips.
"Y/N," he said, his voice filled with warmth, "I think I'm falling in love with you too."
In that moment, the weight of their past relationships and the pain of their recent struggles seemed to fade into the background. Y/N and Jungkook had discovered a love that was born from the ashes of their past, a love that felt like a breath of fresh air, a love that offered a sense of relief and liberation they had never known before.
As they leaned in to share their first kiss, they knew that their journey was just beginning, and they were ready to embrace the future together, free from the constraints of their past. In each other's arms, they found solace and a love that had been waiting to blossom, a love that was, in its own way, a beautiful and unexpected release from the past.

Pairing:Â Yoongi x Reader
Genre: Established relationship + FLUFFY FLUFF
Word Count:Â 700+
A/N: I am already missing Yoongi Boongi and he is not even gone yet, so I wrote this little drabble to make my heart warm đÂ
Yoongi shut the door quietly behind him, slipping off his shoes in the entryway of your shared home. He shushed Holly as the dog came bounding up to him in excitement, awoken by the noise of his owner coming home at such a late hour. Yoongi bent down, petting the dog affectionately, cooing at him to get him to be quiet.
With Holly now happily following after him, Yoongi made his way through the dimly lit house toward your bedroom, the door still nudged open from Holly coming to greet him. The small poodle snuggled back onto his dog bed in the corner of the room, quickly falling back asleep now that his two favorite people were back home.
Yoongi sat on the edge of the bed near your sleeping form, trying to decide whether to wake you now or save the surprise for tomorrow morning when you inevitably found his sleeping form next to you. He watched you sleep for a moment, peacefully unaware of his presence. He mulled it over, considering letting you rest undisturbed, but he couldn't wait.
He rubbed your arm gently, whispering your name, trying to wake you.
âY/N, sweetheart, wake up,â Yoongi whispered, waiting for your eyes to open.
You groaned quietly, upset at being disturbed from your deep sleep. You squinted up at Yoongi, momentarily confused before you could make out your boyfriendâs form in the dark room.
âYoongi!â you nearly shouted, voice rough from sleep. You shoved the covers away from your body, immediately sitting up so you could wrap your arms around him; his arms tightened around you instantly.
âI wanted to surprise you,â Yoongi murmured, words slightly muffled as he spoke them against your hair.
You pulled back to look at him, eyes taking in every detail about his features that you had missed for the past month while he was away at training. His hair was short, of course, but you still hadnât gotten used to it after seeing him with long, dark locks for so long. You cupped his cheeks between your hands, squeezing his bread cheeks together slightly, making him laughâyou missed that sound.
âI missed you so much, Yoongs,â you said. You blinked a few times to rid yourself of the tears that started to accumulate.
Yoongi grabbed your hands in his own, taking them away from his face so he could kiss the back of both of them.
âI missed you too, love,â he said, leaning forward to meet your lips in a sweet kiss. You closed your eyes, waiting for him to deepen it when he pulled away. You whined, making Yoongi chuckle at your impatience.
âWait a second,â Yoongi said, reaching over to your side to grab the stuffed plush taking over his side of the bed.â You felt your face heat up as he brought it in front of your face to show you. He quirked an eyebrow at you.
âShould I be jealous that youâre sleeping with Shooky instead of me?â You grabbed the plush out of his hands in response, wrapping it in your arms protectively.
âThatâs so not fair, Min! You leave me for a whole month and expect me to just not have anything to cuddle with while youâre gone? I donât think so!â You responded, scoffing lightly at the thought of sleeping alone while your boyfriend was away.
âOh, is Shooky better at cuddling than me?â Yoongi asked. You rolled your eyes at his antics, placing Shooky gently on the floor next to the bed for safe keeping.
âOf course not,â you conceded. âI would much prefer to be cuddling with you.â
âJust making sure you didnât replace me,â Yoongi said, left side of his mouth quirked up in a teasing smirk.
âShut up and come cuddle with me before I kick you out and bring Shooky back to bed,â you threatened, laying back down and pulling the covers up to your chin.
Yoongi stood up, kissing you on the forehead before making his way to his side of the bed.
âShooky can stay on the ground tonight, alright?â Yoongi said as he got comfortable under the covers, wrapping his arm around your waist to bring your body closer to his. You smiled, the warm feeling of comfort washing over you; the kind that can only come from having the love of your life home with you.
âIâm sure Shooky wonât mind.â

tag your posts correctly, please :)))
Just simply promoting in these trying times. Also not spamming either - just one post once in a blue moon, that's life x
I'll also add that I've seen other completely unrelated stuff in those tags too, yet I just get on with life. There are bigger things to worry about.
Also, it's arguable that they are the correct tags in the first place.
