You hear love stories

Turned tragedies

Festering

Dying

Hating

All things bad

Adults

Tell you

Divorce

Is normal

Marrying one

You don’t

Love

Is normal

And

Always looking for

The One

Is normal

If that is so

Then

I must be abnormal

I must be

Broken

Because

I love you

And I will

Forever

You

Fill

My days

My time

My heart

And I thank you

I wish

For nothing more

Than you

Your words

Break the silence

With your

Colorful language

And how absolutely colorful

All of the leaves

In all of the trees

In Autumn

How colorful the sun is

In this crisp fall day

With you

As you dance me around

In the rain

Laughing

Playing

Living

The droplets

In your hair

In your eyes

And we both smile

On a playground

With childlike humor

Two adults

Dashing around

Jumping

High into the air

From the swings

Slipping fast down

The cold

Metal slides
