zhongli is quite concerned to say the least

although he has taken many forms before, not once has he experienced the crushing feeling of disliking how his body came to be

he finds that you've been fairly dim and down lately

your eating habbits have also changed drastically, he notes

on top of that, he hears some very self-deteriorating comments from you and it gnaws at the back of his head all the time as he recalls it

finding out that you do–his soul aches with the longing to reassure you

and so he does!

"love?" he comes into your shared room and sees your figure staring into the mirror again

oh, dear love

"ah! oh, honey.. i-" you start to ramble and make excuses, you didn't want him to worry too much but all is in vain as he sees your eyes start to brim with tears

"darling, come here.." he hugs you from behind and kisses your temple

he faces you to the mirror and pulls you closer

"my love, had you not seen yourself the way i do? it truly pains me to see yourself failing to see how beautiful you are." he presses another kiss on your neck

not believing his words, you frown at the image of your reflection on the mirror

how you hated the way you are, you think

"zhongli, i really wish i could tear this horrid body of mine to shreds, how could you see me like that?" you begin to sob

at this, zhongli shakes his head and whispers sweet nothings into your ear

"shh.. darling, don't cry. you've always stuck me as the most beautiful woman i've ever had the pleasure of calling 'mine.' i love you so much, no amount of self-destructive thoughts will ever make my narrative of you and your exceptional beauty any different." he rocks you gently to stop your crying.

"thank you.. for loving me, zhongli." you say in tears, and you genuinely are

zhongli chuckes at this, confusing you a bit

"do not thank me for loving you, my dear, i cannot help myself from falling for you, neither can i stop now." he smiles tenderly at you

So I’ve been seeing an anon send similar requests to a lot of other genshin writers because as I scroll through a few tags I keep reading similar stories and I keep thinking oh I read this but then when I do read it I know it’s not what I’ve read before but rather a different take. I just wanted to let you know, I don’t know if it’s stated in your rules but I know some genshin writers have said that they do not want to have a copy paste request. I dunno if you are friends with any other writers either to let them know.

a knock on the door jolts a very exhausted chief alchemist, he sighs and doesn't bother to turn around to face who he thought entered the door. "have you finished the reports, timaeus?" he rubs his temples in a sluggish manner, wincing at the migraine slowly settling in.

"hm, i didn't know 'timaeus' was an endearment, honey." you laugh. at the sound of your giggles, albedo pulls away from his hand and smiles drowsily.

wordlessly, he gets up from his desk and finds his way to you. you stick your tongue out at him as a playful gesture and he grins at this. gently, he engulfs you in a warm embrace, slightly groaning in sight discomfort when he feels a sharp pain shoot through his head. "i'm exhausted," albedo kisses your jaw.

"which is why i'm here!" you huff excitingly. your partner hums, "oh?" you're here to comfort him? you nod and kiss his forehead and he sighs in content. "i'll take that stress from your workload and throw it to the other side of teyvat." you joke, half wishing you really could.

"what do you have in mind, love?" he asks, meeting your eyes as he pulls away from your shoulder.

"follow me, honey. it'll be worth it."

and that's how you got him to lay his head on your lap, his loving gaze never faltering as he stares into yours. albedo relishes in the way you thread your fingers through his locks, "seems as though you were right, y/n." you raise an eyebrow, "right about what exactly?"

"right about throwing my stress to the other side of teyvat." you laugh at this and he chuckles as well. he feels his heart rate quicken at the sight of your broght demeanor, feeling the fluttering of his insides when you plant a kiss on his cheek.

"my, how bashful you can get at times." you tease. failing to hide his red cheeks, the alchemist decides to humor you instead.

"only you can make me feel this way, my love."

i've been thinking about the nickname 'albie' too !!!!! its so cute😭💕

‘bedo’ is a very cute nickname for albedo and i love when writers use it,

but i (humbly) ask that you please also consider ‘albie’ because i just think that it’s a little quirky but still cute !! (and it doesn’t sound like beidou, though, that isn’t often a problem)
