reblogging this after a year and because of JJK S2 </3
i miss them y’all
“Satoru…” Geto gasps, as if the other’s name is a prayer that he’s sworn to repeat over and over. He looks as beautiful as the day they lost each other, Geto thinks, yet he can’t bring himself to move. He is unworthy to lay eyes on Gojo regardless.
Gojo is the one who walks towards him, like an angel who was meant to save him or let him perish. Geto knows he deserves a fate worse than death, but he already experienced that at the hands of Kenjaku. Perhaps that can be enough to consider as eternal suffering.
He hurt the one closest to him — his best friend.
Geto swallows down his words once Gojo stops in front of him. So close, yet so out of reach. He can sense the pain veiled behind the other man’s blindfold. He would be a fool not to know.
He collapses to his knees in defeat and in reverence, body trembling at Gojo’s presence. He chokes back a sob, and Gojo cannot stop his own body from reacting. He’s still weak for him after all this time, just as Geto is weak for him as well.
Gojo comes even closer to him, standing a few inches away. Geto immediately throws his arms around the other’s waist, his hands clinging so desperately for him.
“Satoru, forgive me…”
Gojo inhales sharply. His fingers shakily hesitate before resting on top of Geto’s dark hair.
“Why should I?”
“I came back home. Back to you.”
Gojo cracks a smile. It’s a tiny one, but Geto can see it nonetheless. He feels Gojo rub his thumb along the wretched scar carved into his temple, and he leans into it, chases it like a dying man starved. He closes his eyes because it feels too much — too surreal.
Neither of them speaks because all they can think of doing is learning how to be in each other’s space and have it be the same as before.
“Suguru…” Gojo finally whispers, sinking down on his own knees to be at eye level with him. Geto blinks open his bloodshot eyes to find Gojo pull down his blindfold. The same crystalline blue eyes that have captured his mind, heart, and soul are looking back at him. His bottom lip trembles, as Gojo wraps his hands around his frame. They lean forward, foreheads resting against each other.
This is it, this is what they need — to be together again, to make themselves whole once more.
They take their time to simply look and feel and be with each other. After so many years of fighting and betrayal, they both knew it will take time to mend what they have. However, this is a step closer to the right path.
Gojo tilts his head up, tracing his lips to kiss along Geto’s scar. Every part of himself that he has managed to piece together shatters into a million new ones at the mercy of Satoru Gojo. He cannot help but to sob out his name, letting himself be consumed whole by his love and anguish.
“You are my one and only for eternity, whether in this life or the next.”
tapes him back together
his big wet eyes and loser boy personality have captivated me
My cats have this meow that means "please come with me to fix this" after which they'll lead me to the problem in question, usually a empty (or 'empty') food bowl or a closed door they want open. They look at the 'problem', they look back at me, clear message.
What fascinates me is how this illustrates what they percieve as being in the realm of my 'power.' I control the food, I control the door, sure, but my cats love to sit on the balcony in the sun, and it has happened plenty of times that on a rainy day they come get me, go to the balcony and show me... the rain. "Please fix this" they say. "Please get rid of the wet"
"Silly kitty," I say, "I can't control the rain." I then walk into the shower and turn on the rain.
