Am I the only one who really disliked Allison in this season?
Like yeah, she was grieving because of her daughter not existing in the timeline, but her actions throughout the season pissed me off. She was just such a bitch and for what though? We technically can’t even blame Harlan for what happened. Even if he didn’t kill their mothers, they wouldn’t have been adopted by Reginald since he willingly chose other kids because he realised that “his selection was poor” and chose stronger kids. So even if that Allison did survive, it’s possible that she may not have met Patrick and had Claire in the first place.
And the fact that Allison turned so fast on Viktor and constantly kept trying to pick fights (COUGH COUGH at the wedding COUGH) and nearly killed him. Like yeah, technically Viktor was sort of responsible for giving Harlan powers unintentionally, resulting in their mothers deaths and Allison not existing in that timeline but Viktor had no idea that he even gave Harlan powers in the first place.
And don’t even get me started on what the fuck happened between Allison and Luther this season. What happened in that scene between them was borderline SA. Allison uses her powers to make Luther stay to have sex with her. And people may argue that she just wanted him to stay and not go with the enemy, but what does, “I heard a rumour that; you want me“ imply? She’s grieving; but that’s no excuse for her actions. I know they were together, but Luther has moved on with Sloane, just like Allison had with Raymond. Edit: She almost acts surprised when he doesn’t stop after she says to stop. The dude is under her power!
Other than Allison being a huge dick throughout the entire season. I enjoyed it a lot, especially Klaus being able to gain more control of his power and finding out that he’s immortal was fascinating. I’m really excited for season 4, I want to find out what happens now that they have no powers.
Doing research instead of writing? Boring Reading instead of writing? Lame Making moodboards for characters? Time consuming Making a playlist for your story? Too much effort.
Making memes that represent parts of your story? Always.
(basically I just finished a chapter of a story I've had so much fun writing and started making memes about different parts of the story)
Getting back into my Total Drama arc because I love the show and decided I’m going to rate every character in the show because I can. These are based on their actions and impressions based on each season they were in.
First, Total Drama Island.
Beth, 5/10 “I personally didn’t really like Beth in the beginning, or atleast wasn’t too invested in her character. It wasn’t until later when she stood up to Heather and started to become her own person is when I started to enjoy her character. The way she got the boot was sad, cause they believed that she cursed the team and was chosen to be booted instead of using the opportunity to vote off Heather.” Gwen, 10/10 “I honestly have too admit that I believe Island is Gwen’s best season - not to say she was bad in the rest of the seasons, but Island was definitely her best. I really enjoyed her character throughout the season and definitely believed she deserved the win. Plus her getting revenge on Heather in the end was awesome.” Dj, 6/10 “I liked Dj in this season. He was one of the guys who were actively bullying Harold and wasn’t a huge cry baby (like later seasons). I noticed that he hardly had any lines in some episodes, if any at all, which is sad. His friendship with Geoff and bunny was really nice to watch.” Lindsay, 8/10 “I love Lindsay. Even though the episodes she was in before her elimination was basically just Heather walking all over her, she had her good moments. I love that she finally stood up to Heather, even though she got the boot in the end. That episode suuucked, she did not deserve to go home like that.” Izzy, 9/10 “I absolutely love Izzy in this season. She was nuts. Her relationship with Owen was super cute to watch and her friendship with Leshawna always made me laugh. Love that she was considered a fan favourite and returned to the island.”
Harold, 5/10 “Can’t say much about Harold. I can honestly not remember a lot about him in Island. I remember him being dragged about his briefs by Duncan and the guys. As a kid I was upset with him that he got Courtney (my favourite character at the time) booted, but now that I’m older, I’m mature enough to see that Duncan got what he deserved. Plus his beat boxing in the talent show was cool.”
Bridgette, 6/10 “I liked Bridgette, she was nice. Her relationship with Geoff was nice. Still don’t understand the choice to make Bridgette cheer for Owen in the end even though she was like besties with Gwen, made zero sense. Also the votes of elimination didn’t really make sense, but I also thought that she served her time on the island.” Cody, 4/10 “His fascination with Gwen was really weird to me as a kid, and even now, I still find it weird and creepy. TBH I can’t really remember anything about Cody besides his final episode where he got the shit beat out of him by a bear and when he helped Gwen with Trent, even though he had a crush on her, so that was nice.” Courtney, 10/10 “Loved Courtney in Island. This was her nice arc. She a lot less bitchy than she is in later seasons, but I still like her. I was so sad when she got booted out, cause I loved Duncney (now I’m indifferent) and they were just starting to become a thing.”
Duncan, 10/10 “Love Duncan. I love this season because Duncan really played into his stereotype (The Juvenile Delinquent). I loved his relationship with Courtney and his friendship with Owen. Too bad it kinda went down the crapper when he got booted cause of cinnamon rolls.” Eva, 4/10 “Was gonna rate her a 3, cause she got eliminated 2nd. But than I remembered that she literally walked into a box with the sasquatch and came out unscathed, wearing his fur as a hat and a pair of boots. So that was pretty sick. I like how they bought her back to cause drama, even though it didn’t make alot of sense, cause Eva wanted to get revenge on the team, even though there were other members of the former team still on the island. (Geoff, Dj)”
Ezekiel, 1/10 “Sexist.”
Geoff, 10/10 “I love Geoff in this season. I gotta say, it’s his best one. I choose not to acknowledge TRR, but I know he wins in that one so that’s cool. I like Gidgette, but I would’ve preferred the OG Gweoff. I really liked their episode together, even though he got booted. Kinda sad that he didn’t root for her to win in the end, but I know he’s the party guy and Owen promised a party.”
Heather, 10/10 “The Queen Bee. She ruled this season. She managed to manipulate her way into the top 3. Definitely got what she deserved though.”
Doing the rest soon, later, probably. :)
Season 3 - Eleanor rant.
TW - Lots of Swearing.
Now season 3 is not my favourite season of the TWDG, that title will always be taken by season one but it does have it’s good moments. The story line was pretty good, most characters had likeable personalities and charm - one of the reasons I love the franchise so much and the antogonists really made me feel hatred towards them. Alas, within a pen of sheep, there’s always that one fox dressed in wool you never expect.
Eleanor starts of as a decent character, being introduced as the ‘doctor’ for Prescott, showing sympathy for Javier when he mentions his family at the junkyard and even offers to sneak Javi and Clem out to save Kate and the kids. The player is given a choice to go with Tripp or Eleanor. In my gameplay, I chose Tripp, because I trusted Clem’s instincts.
Time skip, Prescott is overrun by the New Frontier, forcing survivors out onto the road where their last resort is to ask the New Frontier to help Kate who’s dying from her wound. Reunite with David, blah blah blah. Also, I know Eleanor left Kate in the car, dumb idea, but honestly, Eleanor and Kate have similar body types and probably weigh about the same, so Eleanor trying to carry an INJURED Kate all the way to the gate? Impossible. (Had to rethink here for a second if Eleanor carried Kate at some point but no, Gabe carries her if Javi stays to fight and Javi carries her if he goes).
Aaaanyway, Eleanor is given a free pass by Doctor Lingard, basically giving her citizenship because of her stitching on Kate’s wound and I get it, props to Eleanor for her medical skills. *clap clap*. This far, Eleanor hasn’t really given me any reason to dislike her for anything that she’s done. She believed she was doing what was best for Kate by leaving her in the car to get help, but that ‘help’ turned out to be bs cause they just lied to her and locked her up. During this time, she’ll obviously become close with some of the other leaders, mainly Joan.
BIG time skip up to when Gabe helps Javi escape and the group reunite in David’s house, I believe. Javi walks in on Eleanor and Tripp’s relationship housefire and then can explain how Joan is a terrible person who is planning on ‘removing’ David from his role as one of the leaders by blaming the murders of members on him. After retrieving weapons from the armory and returning, the tension is pretty thick between everyone.
Group discuss what to do, go after Joan in the centre. Eleanor agrees and asks how. I always was suspicious of Eleanor’s hesitant tone but I was like, “Pffft, that’d be stupid, Eleanor’s a good guy”.
*X factor buzzer*
WRONG! It’s all revealed that Eleanor told Joan the groups entire plan. This bitch ruined the entire plan because she wanted to play teachers pet to her new mummy. And karma, being the sob it is, drags Tripp and Ava onto the stage where they’ll be the toys of a claw machine, but SURPRISE, there all rigged! And Eleanor is forced to watch as Joan orders her men to off a woman she barely knew, or her bestfriend and past lover. And when the final show down happens, she forces the blame, onto us! Everything happened because of her. And when you tell her this, she stomps her foot and says she didn’t want to leave in the first place.
Okay. But did you ever consider the rest of the group? The group that doesn’t feel safe between these walls when Joan is the one ruling it with an iron fist? No, because Eleanor is selfish and wanted to climb the electric fence and land on a cactus on Joan’s side. The woman who instructed her men to attack Prescott, her home, take her friend as a hostage, invade the place with walkers, tear gas and begin to brutally murder the people who did nothing to provoke Joan OR her people. Did Eleanor know all of this? Probably not. Despite that, she chose the side of a woman she barely knew, over her bestfriend.
And when Javi asks her why she told Joan the plan? She has the nerve, the absolute nerve to say, “I wAS jUst TRyInG to deFUsE A baD SItuATioN”.
Bitch. YOU CREATED THE BAD SITUATION! And then, she can say, “Tripp was my best friend, Javi!”
And who put Tripp in that situation? Huh? Was it Gabe? Was it Joan? No, it was Eleanor.
And, and, AND, the stupidest thing about this entire scene; is that I can’t even chew her out for it! And the game wants me to automatically forgive her because she’s trying to help people after pulling a stunt like that? Fuck. That.
Eleanor is my least favourite character throughout the entire walking dead game franchise and I won’t see it any other way. 12 thumbs down, 0/5 star rating, undercooked, it’s a no from me, au revoir!
I just watched a video of what they think would’ve happened if Lee didn’t get bit and I decided to write.
First of all, there would have been no way to save Ben when he falls from the balcony. When Lee and Kenny go down to help Ben, they find him on the ground with his one of the balcony poles impaled just under his ribs and one of his legs bent in an odd position. It’s possible that Ben broke his leg(s) from the fall which would easily leave him incapable of surviving. None of the people in the group with them at the moment are skilled enough to patch Ben up and even if they were to get him off the pole, the pain would cause him to scream and draw walkers (occurred in game). An injury like that would’ve caused him to die quickly from blood loss.
Read for more detail and stuff idk
Ben’s two alternate deaths would become an issue putting him into season 2 as some players would have saved Ben or killed him off. With Ben’s first death at the Crawford bell tower, he’s grabbed by Oberson who was hanging from the bell. Distracted by the loud noise, Ben is grabbed by Oberson and Lee shoots the walker, causing the walker to collapse to the bottom of the tower and Ben holding onto the edge. If Ben were to make it to season 2, the choice of saving Ben or not would have to never exist. Ben’s second death seems unavoidable. The group would have to take an alternate route or possibly make the balcony collapse just as the last person (before Ben) on the balcony jumps to the opposite building. Kenny will suggest to leave Ben while Omid and Christa object. Lee will have to find something to help Ben get across safely. Possibly a plank of wood.
(Here I thought of the idea of Ben jumping from another balcony before remembering they are at the houses. Ben could possibly jump for another balcony (not sure how far the balcony's are from each other) or use a something else. I also thought of the idea of Ben just risking the jump and grabbing onto Lee’s hand, but remembered the group got onto the balcony from the window. The window isn’t very big and Ben is a f*cking giant so the chance of him jumping far enough to grab Lee’s hand is super low)
Anyway, when Ben makes it onto the other side, Christa will fall through a hole in the floor and Kenny will jump down, save her and be assumed dead. Omid and Christa will cross over the billboard and it’ll collapse after Christa crosses. Lee says he’ll go down because he has nothing left to lose.
- I’ll be posting a part two tomorrow probably. I just downloaded Road to survival in the middle of writing this after seeing Ben’s character fighting and I stopped writing this for 3 hours to play. I’m already at level 6 :)
Idk :)
Headcanon that if Ben,Sarah,Duck and Clementine lived. I headcanon that Ben would get writing burnt onto his back (Like Clementine with AJ on her wrist). It would be kids on one side and their guardians who he promised to look after. (Carlos, Kenny, Lee, Alvin and Rebecca). Of course it would burn like hell but Ben would fight through it, since he’s been wanting to do it since it was just Kenny and the kids.
Happy International Women’s Day from the ladies of TWDG!
While looking for a good photo of Jean from 400 days to draw (which was a struggle), I came across a reddit post about a character named Asha which was scrapped from the Final Season. And I was like WHAT! I had no idea this was a thing, the character design of her was a little weird cause it shows her with Season 1 Clementine and there’s a sketch which looks like she’s arguing with an older Gabe. Apparently there was nothing in past scripts that actually included Asha which is a shame. There’s also this other character that was scrapped, Jill who was also scrapped from the Final Season. The only thing I really found about Jill is she’s described as a wanderer and Clementine would of met her during the old Final Season.
I’m sure there are alot of scrapped characters but these are the first two I’ve actually found. Would you include Sandra in scrapped characters? As she was going to be added into flashbacks of Season 3 but was replaced by back story of the Garcias, which still pisses me off. I really didn’t care for any of those flashbacks. I’ll make a seperate post of me ranting on about how Sandra should’ve been added into flashbacks of Season 3, if I remember.
:) idk
I've been actively trying to avoid spoilers, but a tiktok clip was just a little too fast for me and it showed me a few seconds of the changes prologue of Until Dawn and even the smallest changes are making me so fucking happy. They finally changed Beth's robotic; "Where's my sister going?" line into one that actually sounds genuinely normal.
I'm a big fan of the walking dead in general. I played the Telltale games several times and my favourite character of literally all time is Ben Paul from season 1. I've watched the show dozens of times and it is in my top 3 shows. (Super disappointed with how the new walking dead game came out - loved the concept of changing the story, but the way they went about it was terrible).
But I found the spinoffs incredibly boring. It might have something to do with the fact that you have to wait a week for every episode, so when I find the first few episodes boring, I'm not bothered to wait and watch the next episode when it comes out. (This has nothing to do with impatience by the way, at one point I was watching Abbott Elementary, The Righteous Gemstones, The White Lotus AND Yellowjackets, all of which are fantastic shows and all had episodes releasing every week).
I watched season 1 of Dead City and remember nothing besides the basic plot of Hershel. I do not plan on continuing the show for season 2.
I watched I think the first two episodes of We're the ones who live before I quit, because again, I was incredibly bored. I love Rick and was so excited to see him back on screen with Michonne, but I got so bored so fast.
I watched the first 3 episodes of Daryl Dixon before I got bored and stopped watching, nor do I plan on continuing. I'm also not into the idea of romance for Daryl, which I had a feeling was gonna happen in like episode 1 with the bath scene.
Controversial opinion; but I will literally only watch Dead City season 2, but ONLY IF Negan and Maggie kiss. I fear that is the only way I would ever watch the show again, because it would be the biggest plot twist in the entire universe and the entire fanbase would quite literally implode out of rage.
