A Reminder Both To Myself And Other Trans People: You Need To Keep Living, The Act Of Living As A Queer

A reminder both to myself and other trans people: You need to keep living, the act of living as a queer person in this America is in of itself an act of defiance. Your death would be giving them what they want. Stay. Fight. Please.

I think it's so weird that Jess keeps portraying Aaron, who is the end game love interest as Aphmaus father. Like in those videos, "Adopted by blank family". It's just kinda gross. I don't get it. She couldn't use Zane? A character who is constantly portrayed as being overprotective to Aphmau? Or like idk Noi? Because like he's one of the few characters that aren't obsessed with Aphmau? Idk.

Sukka is a 24 year old nonbinary trans person who had escaped Sudan’s jenna-side and fled to Uganda. Their childhood best friend told me that “Sukka is currently facing life-threatening challenges as Uganda is really bad with LGBTQ+ folks after their recent bill.” (Trigger Warning: talk of transphobic attacks and SI) Sukka says: “Firstly, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for taking the time to listen to my distressing story . Your willingness to lend an ear has given me the courage to share it fully with you. To start, I lived in Sudan until the outbreak of conflict forced us to flee for our lives to a neighboring country, Uganda. Now residing in Kampala, Uganda, I am confronted with life-threatening challenges, particularly due to the country’s stringent laws against LGBTQ+ individuals. Each day, I live in constant fear and desperately wish to seek asylum, but I lack the necessary funds to do so. Just this month alone, I have faced attacks from multiple transphobic and anti-LGBTQ+ groups. These relentless threats have had a profound impact on my mental health, leaving me traumatized and plagued by su*cidal thoughts. l’m seeking a financial hand to help me work on my asylum elsewhere” Dough-nations will go towards: help with processing travel documents and asylum Dough-nations will first go to my bank account and then I will transfer it to Sukka through the WISE app. Because of the extreme transphobia and attacks, we cannot post photos of Sukka for their safety! follow Sudan.Online_Space on Instagram to learn more about Sukka and to find more Sudanese GFM’s to support!

[Image Description: Text Reads: “Help a 24yo nonbinary trans Sudanese friend seek asylum to escape transphobia” gofundme.com/enbysudanese White text on a blue graphic with yellow/green/light blue gradient blobs all around. There is a QR code in the top right corner that goes to the GFM link In the bottom right corner is a trans symbol with a circular Sudanese flag in the center. With little lines around it making the symbol look excited in the style of Keith Haring. ]

Btw, being aro, ace, aroace, or another identity that falls under the a umbrella is one of the most queerest experiences I've ever heard of. Like, society has ingrained into pretty much everyone that you need to be in a romantic relationship and have sex? And you go AGAINST that??? That's fucking AWESOME!

Loveless aros, you have everyone, even the aro, ace, and aroaces communities talking about how "B-but, aros can still love!! We love our friends!! Not like those monsters who don't!!" and you're still you, and continue to be awesome??? Amazing!!

Moral of the story: aros, aces, aplatonics, afaimials, and others that fall under the a umbrella are queer as hell and are awesome and fuck aphobes

Reminder for stealth perisex trans people that saying "I'm cis, I just have low/high T" (and similar phrases) to explain your secondary sex characteristics, like voice pitch, facial hair, breast growth, etc, IS LYING ABOUT BEING INTERSEX.

A cis person with features like what you're implying WOULD BE INTERSEX. An AFAB person with natural male-typical facial hair IS intersex. An AMAB person with natural female-typical breast growth IS intersex. You guys are just lying about having intersex traits in order to pass. Some of you straight up say "oh I have a hormone disorder". You're simultaneously co-opting our cause and furthering our erasure with the portrayal of intersex traits as "cis person with sex disorder", which separates these traits from the word intersex. You're still lying about being intersex even if you never actually say the word intersex.

And it doesn't even help yall avoid transphobia. Intersexism and transphobia go hand & hand. You're still a target.

If you are put in a position where you need to lie, I'd recommend lying about being a detransitioner. That's the only thing I could honestly see working.
