Yeah, a lot of Cobra Kai subredditors are absolutely shitty about Mary. Some of them at least get reported and deleted, but they do a lot of mental gymnastics for why it's okay to bully somebody with type 1 diabetes all over hating the character she plays and thinking she's lazy and promoting bad health. One said that because she herself joked about having a "phat ass", it's okay for them to call her obese and criticize that point and some other weirdo said that they think Sam's a disgusting character but that they fetishize her thicc. So you have a bunch of people that are blatantly body-shaming and then other guys making backhanded and fetishy compliments over her body parts.
