THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING!
Had a conversation with someone who said that "Ekko was in love with Powder, not Jinx. Jinx is not capable of being in a relationship" and I absolutely think otherwise. It's not like Powder and Jinx are two different entities, they are the same person with two different experiences. The Alternate Timeline only shows us how things could have been in a kinder world, but Ekko knows that there is something worth saving, because Jinx is not only her mistakes (everyone is fucked up in this series) and OBVIOUSLY SHE'S NOT JUST HER MENTAL ILLNESS. Jinx still deserves love from her sister, from Isha, from Ekko. This season shows us that, no matter how broken she is, she loves and she loves deeply.
In the end, Timebomb is a tragic love story in Arcane, it's a "what could have been", but the possibility was there. It's just that the world is not kind enough for them to have a happy ending. And I don't think that the only way this would have worked out was with Powder instead of Jinx, because Jinx showed us she was capable of improving, loving and caring for others.
I'm a bleeding heart for characters like Jinx, I know.
Sorry if it doesn't make sense, English is not my first language and I'm also writing this at 1.30 am.
I would be happy to hear other people's opinions on this.
As somebody who has struggled with mental health all of their life and still does, Jinx's romance with Ekko means the world to me.
I'm sick and tired of people considering mentally ill people just "not interested in love" or, on the other side, "not healthy enough to be loved". Which is utterly stupid. Ekko falling for Powder but clearly showing signs of wanting to learn more about Jinx and on his way to love her too, realizing that her damaged past and issues do change her but she's still his girl. It's brilliant writing.
He can't be a savior to her, because there's nothing to save. There's nothing to fix. The whole message Jayce gives with "there's beauty in imperfections" goes hand in hand with Powder's "sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind". Ekko goes from wanting to save her to wanting to see more of her and leaving Powder behind to know about Jinx. With Ekko loving Jinx nevertheless it shows that mentally ill people can be loved. And with Powder reciprocating and Jinx making amends with Ekko (with the romantic context behind already seen) it's breaking the whole stereotype of her being this "insane maniac with no remorse and unable to show love".
So I guess what I want to say is that their relationship would've worked in another universe, but I want to believe it could've worked in this one (with time), too.
Prospero is the only one surviving Annabel Lee in this scenario. Maybe Ada is still alive because she ran away crying, but Monty sure as hell is dead, and his corpse is used as a warning to everyone who dares enter Annabel's territory.
the difference between the misfits and the posh gang is that if the misfits played monopoly there'd be yelling. if the posh gang played monopoly there would be blood, a broken bone, and an impromptu infirmary visit (again).
Poor man

anyone else watched that event obsessively
he's just there, third wheeling.
sorry its not art related but i find this lil edit of mine funny
Grown men crying over a small choice in a character creation, that grants you the possibility to have top surgery scars. In a world with a corrupted magic induced plague, your biggest problem are pronouns and top surgery scars. And a non-binary character whose story you obviously didn't finish.
Yeah, sometimes Veilguard's writing isn't perfect, it's a normal game. But duck, I love their tantrums. They are like big big babies.
So, who is weak now?
Hi everyone! Me and my girlfriend have made a project on Kickstarter for our first Indie TTRPG. Would you like to give it a try?
It's an Urban Fantasy set in an alternative Europe, where humans and mythical creatures live together.
If I told you about a world where our society lives in harmony with magical creatures, would you believe it?
In ancient times, the human kind coexisted with magic and all of its children. They grew with fairies, devils and other different mythical beings, learning from them how to use this fascinating power. And so witches were born.
However, something went incredibly wrong: religions gave birth to hateful groups, and words as heresy and blasphemy became dangerous. The arcane world was forced to hide itself to survive, becoming part of myths, legends and stories. Fairies created another reality, a place to be free from human law. Devils retired in their homeland. Witches and other creatures had to hide between common people and learn how to survive in this new, hostile world.
And then, when it all became unbearable, war came, a gruesome conflict where the only winner was Death itself. In 1802, a peace offer was made.
This is the story of modern times, where harmony is again part of our society, even if sometimes it’s still fragile. This is a story of an urban fantasy Europe, where creatures we only ever heard about can be our neighbor, and we can be part of them.
Choose who you want to be! We have many options, from the evergreen Witches to different types of Fairies, Devils and Mythical Creatures. And, if you really want to be special, you can always create something new! We have made many playable species, but you can still create your own unique character with our game! After all, there are so many legends and ideas in our world, it would be a shame to not give you the tools to play them.
Write the story with your Game Master session after session, using your creativity to progress the narration. Mix your stats, your magic and your common abilities to create compelling scenes. There are many ways to solve problems (or to create them), so what are you going to do?
You just need a bunch of d8 dices to play, and that’s it!
The world of Children of the First Flame is complicated, with many flaws that reflect real-life ones. We think that it’s important to represent these kinds of topics in our world, even if in a different reality. So, don’t be surprised when you’ll find social battles as a key part of our lore.
Also, this game is unapologetically LGBTQIA+, and we hope it can help to create safe spaces.
We stand against every type of discrimination and oppression, and our work is going to reflect our views.
Unfortunately, we don't have a professional artist on our team now, but if the project succeeds, we are going to hire someone for covers and illustrations.
We don't care if it's easier, we're not going to use any type of AI. We want something made with the passion of an artist, not by a soulless machine that steals from others.
We are not professionals but, if necessary, we prefer to use our drawings, instead of a machine. Hopefully, we’ll have the money to hire artists. We want to work with human souls and see their vision in their art.
This is an independent project without a big budget, but with your help we can make it work!

Being a parent? Wdym? I've already adopted two babies.
If someone hurts my daughters I'm going to be really angry.
Poor babies, they can't play something if it doesn't center them in some ways.
Also historical accuracy wouldn't be a problem for them if the character wasn't black, I wonder why
Them: A black person being in Japan isn't realistic
Us: Yasuke was a real person that lived at the time
Them: But he wouldn't have been a Samarui
Us: *Gestures at all of the history of him being trained and considered one*
Them: Well it takes place in Japan why can't we play a Japanese character
Us: You also play as Naoe
Them: Yea but we wanna play as a male
