I think we should get a wild Kratts episode of Neotropical otters/Giant river otters because giant river otters are such menaces and I love them. They're ruthless pack hunters and other animals like giant anacondas will actively run away if they hear them coming.

A super recent based one could be dire wolves! Because what we have now is NOT a dire wolf. It is the closest thing we can genetically get to a dire wolf. They could use the time trampoline again and explain how it's sad that these animals go extinct and we should prevent it with current animals as much as possible but doing stuff like this is a bad idea in the first place cause anything we did bring back from so far back would no longer have a home in our ecosystems.

I think another cool one would be an episode about grey seals and harbor seals because listen. I will take the closet thing possible to a fantasy based episode. And it totally could be semi fantasy! They could mention the myths around them and stuff! Ngl that's the main reason I picked this one lol

Pigs. Everyone should know their crime. But they're also adorable.

An episode talking about herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores. Although that might be a little too dark for their demographic cause there's no true herbivores most animals that come to mind when thinking of that term are opportunistic and WILL eat meat if given the chance.

Piranhas cause there's a lot of misconceptions about them and they're actually pretty cool!

Sloth bears because they're tiger fighting menaces but also because good opportunity to talk about habitat destruction

Jimmy Z headcanons

Jimmy headcanons because I can and some just plain facts because as much as I love Athena P I can't let her completely drag my boy.

Facts: He's the navigator and implied cook. Also, an extrovert which is important because, and I do not remember exactly which episode this happens in but I know it happens in a desert-themed episode, he and Koki do supply runs for the Tortuga.

Headcanons: He doesn't own a single pair of matching socks. They've been bought for him but something always happens. He also loves fun/colorful socks!

Jimmy's that one kid who wears shorts no matter what the weather and you can't change my mind even though in cannon he has snow gear.

He has a Roblox account.

One of his favorite games to play is actually Stardew Valley

He played FNAF religiously as a child and while he adores the games that is partially why he's so jumpy.

His favorite thing to make is chewy cookies because he can eat them while doing literally anything and they won't make too big a mess.

He has an ant farm or a plant no basis for this just pure vibes I think he'd like something laid back to take care of.

It's anyone's guess how much he knows about any given subject. Obviously, geography and piloting are his strongest subjects but he knows something about almost any given subject. Human body? Yeah, did you know you have a separate immune system for your eyes, and if your body's immune system found out it would theoretically melt your eyes out of your head because it would register them as a foreign object? Wood? Did you know you can use trees for a lot of different recipes? As in sawdust, bark, etc? (I follow a guy on YouTube who turns trees into ice cream) Medieval slang? Did you know the word hate was invented in 1175 and was a slang term?

Sometimes he actually gets jealous of the rest of the crew, hence his behavior in season one especially, but he's learned to deal with it in healthy ways like asking questions or asking to help so he can learn instead of just stewing!

This man uses SO many vine/meme references

His favorite animal is obviously otter's but sometimes he borrows a creature power suit and flies around as a bird of some kind because let's be so for real right now I can only imagine how freeing it would feel to fly.

Wild kratts x Wolf walker au

For context a wolf walker is similar to a werewolf except they look completely human till they fall asleep and their soul basically leaves their body and becomes a wolf but they can go back into their body whenever they want but they have to be near it, as in right in front of it. They can transform normal people by biting them, talk/communicate with normal wolves and a little with other animals ((but not in the "oh they're actually talking" kind of way in the mutual understanding kind of way)), they can see scent trails, and heal injuries.

So uh just spit balling here but,

Martins an orphan in this au (he and Chris aren't biologically related in this but we all know they're tied together by soul 😌) along with Koki Aviva and Jimmy and they all work together to provide for themselves and everyone else in their little dirty orphanage.

Martin does lots of things but usually gathers herbs and mushrooms (and consistently brings back injured animals that they all nurse back to health before returning them to the woods)

Jimmy is a cartographer which helps them all get out of the village without many problems

Aviva's an inventor and Koki's a blacksmith, a skill she got from one of her parents before they died 🤷, but they're both belittled and looked down upon because they're women and this takes place in ye olden days.

Chris is a wolf walker and his mom is/has been asleep for awhile cause her wolf self mysteriously hasn't returned. (For context look up the movie or watch it on daily motion!) He's of course a sassy little wild child with little to no concept of danger and while he enjoys the company of the wolves he gets cripplingly lonely.

Chris and Martin meet when Martin finds a wolf caught in a trap. It's dark brown with green eyes and snarling mad at him. Luckily Martin has no sense of danger either and pretty much jump scares the poor thing but jumping on it and wrapping his coat around it's head before prying off the trap and clambering up a tree to avoid losing a limb. It shakes off the coat and takes off. Martins happy with this outcome. A few days later however he gets caught in a rope trap. He's thinking "Dang this sucks 😑" when that same wolf shows up. Martin loves animals but he has enough common sense to realize this situation is not ideal. Especially when it starts jumping and snapping at him. He flails trying to get himself free and it bites him on accident and he accidentally kicks it. It jumps away with a whine before falling back and with one big jump manges to snap the rope and set him free. They're at a stand still for a moment before it runs away and Martin retreats back to the confines of the medieval town.

Imagine his shock when he wakes up in the middle of the night to a little boy howling over him, gold circling his arm. They stare at each other. The boy just looks wild in nature. Sticks and leaves in his hair, Martin's pretty sure there's some pebbles in there too. His hands and feet are dark brown, tough and calloused. His nails are sharp to match his canines, even in human shape he looks like a wolf. Martin isn't sure what to say so he looks at his healed arm and simply says thank you for healing his bite. The boy simply frowns and snarkily tells him to stay out of the woods if he doesn't like being bit and leaves. Of course he goes back to the woods the very next day and the boy is waiting for him.

I'll do a whole movie rewrite if anyone's interested 🤷

Wild Kratts headcanon: Chris almost drank a lethal dose of caffeine once and would've drunk over that amount had Martin not confiscated the coffee machine till Chris passed out

Love imagining Jimmy in his fae form just kind. perching at the head of the others' beds. staring down at them and watching over them when they sleep. and one of the caretakers opens the door and just sees a silhouette of a giant, feathery humanoid with glowing eyes standing over Martin, Chris, Aviva, or Koki. But when they get a light he's just gone.

He's a freaky lil guy and i love him

He is and would he's THE village cryptid a traveler comes to town and goes out one night and sees a terrifying bird creature and tells everyone and they're just like "Yeah that was probably Jimmy we don't KNOW that he's magic but he definitely is. He's chill."
