i just am completely lacking the words and dialect to express how completely and utterly saddened i am. for those who dont know, there is a huge ass teacher shortage, and my state offers 10k dollars in grants to new student teachers. so many people in college would have benefited from these grants in terms of transportation, paying for college, paying for food to eat, class materials and books, etc— and now the fact that i and so many others may lose this before we even have the chance to see it is. is just. i dont even know how to process it. teachers are ridiculously undervalued and under appreciated individuals who really do make sacrifices everyday, and they are awarded so little when they should be awarded so much.

education is important. educators deserve to eat.
