Anyone else think Joe Hill might have a problem with women?

I just finished The Fireman, and I've been reading through the short stories in 20th Century Ghosts, and, uh....I don't think he likes women much.

I'm thinking of re-reading Heart Shaped Box next and see if the issue is as prevalent in that as I remember.

Also, I could rant for hours about all the problems I have with The Fireman. I might just do that soon. But thinking about that book too much makes me kind of mad, so I try to keep my mind on other things.

I know when we talk about ~men writing women~ we usually focus on the “she breasted boobily” variety but can we just acknowledge that in The Sound of Music, a mother abbess sends one of her young, naive charges to go and work for a rich, single older man and when said young naif flees back to the abbey and refuses to speak to anyone about what happened to her except to say “I can’t face him again”, the abbess’ first reaction is “are you in ~love~ with him?” when any woman’s knee-jerk reaction would be “GIRL WHAT TF DID HE DO AND SHOULD I CALL THE POLICE”

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Look buddy, i’m just trying to make it to Friday.

I decided to switch from using the twitch studio app to using obs for streaming.

I have most of it set up alright. Struggling a bit with the webcam not showing if the game is showing, but I’ll hopefully have it figured out soon.

I’ll be using obs to stream Final Fantasy XV tonight. If there are hiccups with the stream, it will be down to me using a program I’m new to, so please be patient with me

I was hoping to stream Final Fantasy XV tonight, but it is taking for facking ever to download.

Luckily, State of Decay 2 just got a huge update! So tonight at 10:30 EST, you can join me in hunting down zombies and trying to keep the survivors (and myself) sane

Sometimes my love for Warehouse 13 makes it hard for me to remember that H.G. Wells wasn’t actually a kickass female author who was unashamedly bisexual.

But reality would certainly be a lot cooler if that were true.

I practically forgot that I had even set this up.

I’m going to start using it to post updates on when you can expect to see me streaming, what games or movies there’ll be, and just whatever else I feel like.
