Hi π
Iβm sorry if this message feels suddenβI truly donβt want to bother anyone. Iβm Areej, a 27-year-old English teacher and writer from Gaza π΅πΈ, and Iβm reaching out because my family is in desperate need of help.
The war has taken everything. Weβve lost our home π, and we live each day under the constant threat of bombing and starvation π₯. Iβm trying to evacuate my familyβmy parents, siblings, two small children, a newborn , and my sister who is deaf βto Egypt, where we hope to find safety ποΈ.
If youβre able to donate π or even just share our campaign π, it could bring us one step closer to survival. Every act of kindness means the world right now ππ€.
Thank you for taking a moment to read π
And if you'd prefer not to receive messages like this, please just let me knowβI wonβt message again.
With love and hope,
Areej π€πΏ

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard
Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.
Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.
Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.
Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.
SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.
SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.
Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.
Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.
Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.
Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.
Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.
Autism acceptance is for life, not just for April.
I thought I became trash at writing due to lack of practice and using c.ai, I think its just adhd, the way I speak when texting and writing are equally messy and writing especially needs so much editing
Do you make all of these? And if so, why? Whatβs like the backstory behind these and why you make them? And what do you do with them? Theyβre very cool btw
Yeah, I make all of these. I create them for the same reason people enjoy them, theyβre nice to look at. Itβs kind of a form of therapy for me, I guess.
I struggle with depression and stuff, so even though theyβre all rainbowy and vibrant, Iβm usually feeling pretty down when I make them. But posting them makes me feel better.
I love seeing people add their own tags and captions, I read all of them. I just put them out here, thatβs all. π
Thank you! I'm glad you like em.

The way most autism literature describes "literal interpretation" is often not at all similar to how I experience it. Teenage me even thought I couldn't be autistic because I've always been able to learn metaphors easily.
In fact, I love wordplay of all kinds. Teenage me was fascinated to learn all the types of figurative language there are in poetry and literature.
But paperwork and questionnaires are hard, because there's so much they don't state clearly. Or they don't leave room for enough nuance.
"List all the jobs you've had, with start and end dates." What if I don't remember the exact day or month? Is the year enough?
"Have you been suffering from blurred vision?" Well, if I take off my glasses the whole world is blurred, but I'm fairly sure that's not what the intake form at the optometrist is asking.
Or the infamous (and infuriatingly stereotypical) "Would you rather go to a library or a party?" What sort of party? Where? Who's there? I work at a library. Am I currently at the library for work or pleasure? Does it have a good collection?
It's not common figures of speech that confound me. It's ambiguity, in situations that aren't supposed to be ambiguous.
