The Reason The Number Of Women And Children Killed By Israel Tends To Be Higher And Remains Significant

The reason the number of women and children killed by Israel tends to be higher and remains significant is due to the fact that with the ongoing displacement, families tend to move in together, making the number of people sheltering together reach 30 or 40 people at times.

With that, the men of these families tend to let women and children take shelter during the night inside apartments and houses when available, knowing they provide more relative warmth and comfort, while men tend to seek shelter for the night elsewhere, usually in tents in open areas. This means that when Israel deliberately strikes homes during the night, the inevitable consequence is that the overwhelming majority of the people killed or injured will in fact be women and children.

Israel knows this and continues to deliberately strike homes, most of the time also knowing the exact number of people sheltering inside and even their ages. Women and children are not "collateral damage", they are specific targets that Israel had long deemed eligible, starting the day these women and children were born Palestinian.

Laughing at something on your phone while other people are around you is so uncomfy, like “my bad G, didn’t mean to find joy and whimsy”

No actually hi I’m not done talking about episode 3 because have we mentioned yet how fucking monumental it is that the little girl who you’d think would be a prime candidate for a damsel in distress storyline fought her way out *almost entirely single-handed.* Not the man. Her. She never gave up and absolutely blitzed her way out of there without even needing a proper plan. Crosshair is just her backup. The subtle messages in this show mean everything, we have 6’4 of seething super soldier with a vendetta and a gun and it’s his baby sister who’s the one masterminding their way to safety *I can’t tell you how feral I am about this*

Star Wars feminism is so good when it’s good, Leia would be so fucking proud of her

honestly when people complain about things like boycotting the oscars, grammys, superbowl, eurovision etc. and say that it's "too much" to expect people to boycott those events, i always automatically think of the 1936 olympics happening in nazi germany. how everyone was just going about the event as usual. in hindsight every normal person can see how messed up that is, everyone would ask themselves "how could all those people possibly sit there and act as if everything is normal?". i wonder if people will one day look back on all the big american and european events happening during the gaza genocide and wonder how anyone could have just sat there and enjoyed them

I think about this all of the time. I KNOW people will look back on this genocide and be in total shock of how so many people continued on like normal, despite how much power we could have if we all stood together instead of trying to ignore Israel killing thousands of people each month.

Not feminist as in "women should be included in the draft" but feminist as in "being drafted is a violation of bodily autonomy for any gender".

The draft should not exist. Drafting people into the military is a violation of human rights. You should not be able to force someone to risk their life. If you can't find enough people who care about a conflict to keep it going then it simply shouldn't keep going. You can't even force someone to donate a kidney using government power, why the fuck can you force them to donate their whole body and life to a cause they don't agree with or don't care about?

if you don't think ai "art" and i use that term very loosely isn't dangerous, just remember that there are fake nudes of celebrities and there was an ai made ad running in the superbowl while Rafah was being bombed to the nines.

y'all realize that instead of using ai for good, people are using it to fabricate lies, to steal from, humiliate and dehumanise others, right? right.

so don't ever come on my blog chirping high praises about c.ai or ai generated images. not when fanfic writers and small time artists are getting less and less appreciation for their hard work while "c.ai inspired" fics and "ai generated" images are taking all the spotlight (when they really shouldn't because it's been stolen). not when writers are being put out of jobs. not when voice actors aren't being taken seriously and are also being put out of jobs. not when artists' work is being stolen and being mass produced into soulless pictures. not when a dead artist's work should be left alone but some dude put their unfinished project(s) into an ai art generator to finish their project when it, again, as i've just said, should've been left the fuck alone. not when people (regular people and celebrities alike) are having fake nudes of their pictures being put out there for the world to see without their knowledge and consent.

and especially not when governments are paying millions of dollars to make ai generated ads about "bringing dads home" while dads (and moms, sons, daughters, their pets and their plants) are being senselessly killed.

so no. i don't wanna hear shit about ai. not until we stop killing our own humanity with it and claiming that it's good.

As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.

It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.

Accounts don't just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.

every single time israel fires on people picking up food or humanitarian aid it truly cuts me to the core. obviously it's equally horrible to fire on civilians escaping the invasion or to bomb hospitals or refugee camps or people just living in their own homes. but there's something so brutal about hitting people right when they have gathered for life-saving aid. by firing on them there the IOF have set up an impossible dilemma where starving people have to choose between death by bullet or death by hunger. they have left no room for palestinians to choose life. i do not know how my government or any other government can just sit by and watch while innocent people continue to be gunned down for the crime of existing in israel's eyeline.
