Controversial Opinion.
The One Piece Anti's are actually CORRECT about One Piece having a bunch of overly-convenient powers being held by ladies, lately.
And I love it.
I love Tama and her ability to mind control literally ALL of Kaido's gifters, making her an unexpectedly central part of the protagonists' victory.
I love Jewelry Bonney and her ability to imitate Gear Five Luffy and help turn the tide of the current arc, and also control all Kuma-Fistas
I love Boa Hancock having just the right mix of powers and attractiveness that lets her Insta-KO entire armies, as well as some of the setting's most powerful characters.
Hell, if they're doing what I think they're doing with Catarina Devon, I even love that.
Powerful Mary-Sue-ish Ladies Sweep!
It breaks my heart that if young Akutagawa met young Atsushi he would've taken him in and cared for him in the way he did the other orphans
its always sunny screencap redraw lolll
One thing I would love to see happen in the future of bsd is Sigma and Mushitaro meeting. They would totally be best friends and no one can convince me otherwise
I just saw someone say that Luffy, Ace, and Sabo aren't brothers because they're not biologically related, and I'm just... speechless. How can someone watch One Piece in its entirety and think this way?? I can't even express myself properly about this because it's just so obvious that the fact that they're not related by blood just... doesn't matter. Like, that's the whole point of their story, to show that even though they have different origins they still love and consider each other as brothers, that your blood doesn't matter, and that the people you choose as your family are your real family. How can you watch them become sworn brothers, their shared childhood, Ace and Luffy's grief when they are told that Sabo is dead, Luffy and Sabo's pain when Ace dies, their reunion, and how much effort they make to inherit Ace's will and honor him, and still believe that they are not brothers?? Found family is literally one of the biggest themes of One Piece??? I just can't understand how someone managed to simply not understand the most important part, not only of the story of these three, but of the story of One Piece as a whole.
Muzan possesses such a high level of emotional intelligence that enables him to read people deeply, manipulate them to his advantage, and exploit their weaknesses. He knows how to agitate them to get what he wants and how to break them down by amplifying their worst traits. His top three Upper Moons reflect his own faults such as apathy, immaturity, arrogance, greed, and an endless quest for more power.
Muzan treats each of them differently to serve his purposes. He humiliates and belittles Akaza at every opportunity because he knows that he craves guidance and praise. By doing the opposite, he inflicts emotional pain. He continues this harsh treatment until Akaza's final moments, pushing him to persist in a meaningless existence.
With Douma, Muzan exacerbates his emotional stuntedness by being emotionally distant and allowing Douma to stay in toxic environment he grew up in, preventing any personal growth or change.
And lastly, Muzan manipulates Kokushibo's jealousy and greed by tempting him with what he desires most, rather than what he truly needs. This leads Kokushibo down a path of betraying everything that once mattered to him.
