I’ve just realised that Tumblr is like Facebook. The photos stay. Classy Harmony Creation.
Tonight, I attended the opening of Gary Coyle's exhibition 'Dreaming Different Dreams' at the Kevin Kavanagh Gallery. His dark gray and detailed drawings are full of atmosphere in a dreamy sense. Tonight they stood out from the pink wall paintings behind and around them. The juxtaposition of dark grey and bright pink created an interesting scene. Gary's exhibition will run until the 28th March 2020 at the Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, Chancery Lane, Dublin 8.
Classy.

Last Sunday, I attended the opening of the Summer show at the Open Window Gallery, 205 Rathmines Rd Lwr, Rathmines, Dub 6. The Gallery was packed and there was a good mixture of work on view. Classy.
This evening, I saw the exhibition Sheltered Charity Through The Arrs held at the Copper House Gallery, St. Kevin’s Cottages, off Symge St., Dub 8. A wide variety of work to view in a nice atmosphere with good music. The exhibition is in support of the Peter Mc Verry Trust and will continue tomorrow from 11.00 am - 5.30 pm.

Tonight, I attended the opening of Tom Climent's exhibition 'Pilgrim' at Solomon Fine Art, Balfe St., Dub 2 D02 T802. The opening was lively and well attended. Most of Tom's paintings sold.
I particularly liked the translucent and shimmering quality of his use of color in his paintings. Tom's exhibition will run until 25th May 2024.

Last night, I attended the opening of Colin Davidson’s exhibition ‘Variations’ at the Oliver Sears Gallery. I was delighted to see all of his flower paintings. Although I loved Colin’s street scenes and portraits, I found his latest change in subject matter quite refreshing. I preferred his paintings painted in lighter colours especially ‘Dorabella’ with its yellow flowers on a sky blue background. The gallery was busy with a relaxed atmosphere. Colin’s exhibition will run until 24th Jan 2019 at the Oliver Sears Gallery, 29 Molesworth Street, Dub 2.

Yesterday, I visited the RHA, 15 Ely Place, Dublin 2 to see the 188th RHA Annual Exhibition on its last day. It was my second time attending this show and was worth the effort. I enjoyed viewing work by familiar artists such as Ken Drew, Richard Gorman, Eithne Jordan, Alice Maher, Mick O’Dea, John Shinners and Donald Teskey along with some new names. Classy.
Last night, I attended the opening of 'Wild Things - The Prints They Leave...' at Gallery Zozimus, 57 Francis Street, Dublin 8. This exhibition features ceramic sculpture by Ivan Panov and paintings by Ann McKenna. Both artists had created their work on the team of animals.
Ivan's sculptures are full of charm and humor. He repurposes items in his work e.g a lamp stand to denote an owl's feet. Ann's paintings glow with life and personality. I particularly liked her painting of an orangutan, very well observed.
Lots of people had come to the venue. The atmosphere was quite relaxed.
