CONTEXT ; adjala brekker is kazs adopted sister (and shes suli) and elijah rollins is Pekkas illegitamate disowned son (adjalas husband) and kaz has a neice, Jordan and her twin brother is his first nephew Johaness and Kaz fav nephew is Kaz jr. a baby boy who likes kaz alot too.

WARNINGS; Cuteness overload 😭😭

The cozy candlelit restaurant in ketterdam provided the perfect ambiance for Adjala and Elijah's long-overdue date night. They savored each other's company, relishing the rare moments of quietude and connection.

Meanwhile, back at their home, Uncle Kaz was in charge of babysitting duty. With a baby boy, Kaz Jr., a toddler girl, Jordan, and her twin brother, Johannes, it was a formidable task. Kaz watched the twins with a mixture of awe and exhaustion as they energetically tore through the living room, rearranging furniture and creating chaos.

Kaz sighed, his gloved hands buried in his hair as he muttered to himself, "What am I doing with my life? Why did I agree to this? This is madness."

Kaz Jr., seated in his baby bouncer nearby, cooed in apparent agreement, seemingly understanding the gravity of the situation as he watched the twins cause mayhem.

Hours passed, and just when Kaz thought he might lose his mind, he had a brilliant idea. He started constructing one of his infamous "Kaz Bunker" pillow forts. With the speed and precision of a mastermind, he built walls of pillows and blankets, corralling the twins into the makeshift fortress.

As Adjala and Elijah returned home, they were met with a scene of controlled chaos. The living room was a mess, but it was contained within the boundaries of the pillow fort. Kaz lay on the floor, fast asleep, his mouth slightly open, drooling onto the carpet.

Elijah couldn't help but chuckle as he surveyed the scene. "Looks like Uncle Kaz managed to get some sleep."

Adjala nodded, a fond smile on her face. "Maybe all those heists were practice for babysitting. I never expected my brother drooling on my carpet with my son on his chest."

They approached the fort and found Kaz Jr. sleeping soundly on Kaz's chest, while Jordan and Johannes had cuddled up next to him, also fast asleep.

Elijah gently lifted Kaz Jr. and laid him in his crib, while Adjala carefully extricated the twins from the fort. Kaz Jr. seemed to stir for a moment, but he settled back into slumber, content in the knowledge that his uncle had things under control.

As they settled their children into their beds, Adjala and Elijah couldn't help but appreciate the bond between Kaz and their little family. It might be unconventional, and sometimes chaotic, but it was filled with love, laughter, and the occasional pillow fort heist.

Adjala whispered to Elijah, "We're lucky to have him."

Elijah smiled and kissed her forehead. "Yes, we are."

"Kaz." Adjala gently shakes him awake. "Get up. Sleep in the guest room."

And with Kaz groggily left the room, knowing that he had proved himself to be more than just a mastermind—he was a master babysitter, too.

The RG Kar Incident: DON'T CLOSE YOUR EYES TO RAPE

I’m unsure of how many non-Indians or even non-Bengalis know of this. Regardless of whether you do or do not, I would request you to reblog this post & share awareness about this. DON'T LET INJUSTICE GO UNPUNISHED.

On August 9, 2024, the body of 31-year-old post-graduate medical trainee, Dr. Moumita Debnath, was found partially naked in the seminar room of RG Kar, a hospital in Kolkata. She had just finished working a 36-hour night shift before this and, out of exhaustion, had fallen asleep while studying in the nearest seminar room on the fourth floor of the hospital.

Her family was informed beforehand that she had committed suicide, to which her mother emphasized on the fact that her daughter could never carry out such an act. On further investigation, it was found that Dr. Debnath had been raped and murdered in her sleep.

According to the Deccan Herald,

“There was bleeding from both her eyes and mouth, injuries over the face and nail. The victim was also bleeding from her private parts. She also has injuries in her belly, left leg… neck, in her right hand, ring finger and… lips. [...] “Her neck bone was also found broken. It seems that she was first strangulated and then smothered to death.”

According to Medical Dialogues,

“There were multiple hairs on the mattress and blood was soaked on the blue mattress [...]”

Later, it was found that Dr. Debnath’s glasses were shattered and her eyes were pierced with the shards of her glasses themselves.

Although one of the criminals (Sanjoy Roy) has been arrested, I am certain that there are others involved. In fact, it has been found that Sanjoy Roy, despite being an outsider, was granted access to PG Kar via personal relations with senior police officers.

The chief minister of West Bengal (despite being a woman herself) as well as members other political parties are trying, behind the scenes, to let this case fade away. Why? Oh right, it's really the privileged, upper class & upper caste sons and brothers of ministers who are behind this! No major crime can happen in a country without there being the hand of one or more influential persons, often politically involved.

Sisters and brothers, দিদিরা ও দাদারা, it would be a sin to remain silent in the face of such a crime. Our brave brothers & sisters pursuing medical practise have ceased working in their hospitals to protest against this grave crime against women, against humanity. We cannot let this injustice go unpunished! A crime against a single woman is a crime against all of us! We were born from a woman, raised by a woman—and now, when we see the honour, dignity and life of women at stake, won’t we join the andolan? Won’t we fight for what is right?

Requesting all Kolkata residents (who can) to join in at least any one of the protests mentioned below. There are provisions for elderly & disabled people. Men are invited to join us as well.

Blowing the conch has always been a signal of strength. In traditional Bengali culture, it is almost always the women who blow the conch, be it in Durga Puja or the everyday pujas carried out at home. It was, and always will remain a sign of victory over evil. At 11:55 p.m., all those who cannot join the midnight assembly (the aforementioned event) can, instead, blow the conch from their own houses! Let them know you're not afraid. Let them know you've had enough. Let them know that once a revolution starts, especially one spearheaded by women, takes a long, long time to end.

I can't get enough of the Brother/uncle Kaz headcannons. So here r some more.

But this time, it's about Kaz third wheeling Elijah Rollins (Adjala's lover aka my oc) and Adjala (Kaz's sistet aka my oc).

1. Kaz, the Eternal Third Wheel: Kaz often finds himself unintentionally third-wheeling when spending time with Adjala and Elijah. Whether it's a romantic dinner or a simple walk in the park, he somehow manages to always be there, lurking in the shadows.

2. Awkward Interruptions: Kaz has a knack for walking in at the most inopportune moments. Whenever Adjala and Elijah share a tender moment, steal a kiss or are making out, Kaz's impeccable timing ensures that he witnesses it all. His reaction? A dramatic sigh and an eye roll or cursing on his way out.

3. Secretly Ships Them: Despite his gruff exterior, Kaz secretly ships Adjala and Elijah and can't help but playfully tease them about their affectionate moments. He might toss a coin their way and quip, "Buy yourselves a room, you two."

4. Reluctant Babysitter: Whenever Adjala and Elijah need a break from their parental duties, they know they can count on Kaz to babysit Jordan, Johannes and Kaz jr. Kaz's (aka the og) tough love approach makes for some amusing stories of the kids outsmarting him.

5. Inadvertent Matchmaker: Kaz unintentionally becomes a matchmaker for the couple. He might arrange "accidental" encounters or conveniently forget to mention that the other is coming over, leading to amusing situations.

7. The Mournful Violin (ft. And Matthias could barely hear anything over their duet, so Kaz had him learn to play harmonica horribly. Now, whenever Adjala and Elijah go out in a romantic date on the roof of the Slat, Kaz will have Jesper dramatically pull out his violin and play a mournful tune, dramatically out of key, and have Nina duet to it, while Matthias plays the harmonica horribly in the background, always causing Adjala to face palm and Elijah to stuff tissues into his ears. *They carry around ear plugs now*. (rip Matty and Elijah's ear drums xoxo)

8. Impromptu Counselling (ft. Therapist Wylan) : Kaz occasionally finds himself in the role of an impromptu couples' counselor, alongside wylan, always listening to their relationship woes and offering his unique perspective on love and loyalty.

9. Kaz's "I Told You So" Moments: When disagreements arise between Adjala and Elijah, Kaz is always ready with an "I told you so" or "You should have listened to me." It's all in good fun, of course. (Except for that one time Elijah got Adjala pregnant)

10. The mom friend (ft. Inej) : Kaz embraces his role as the mom friend of the family (taught by urs truly Inej ofc), offering a different perspective on life and love. He might say, "You two enjoy your domestic bliss; I'll be out here in the shadows, counting my crows." And he jokes be grudgingly so that inej laughs.

That's pretty much it Lol.

This makes ALOT of sense

I like to think that part of the reason Inej is drawn to Kaz is because he's such a damn performer... I feel like it's easy to forget it bc her job in the Dregs is to go unseen, but Inej was raised in the circus. She performed until she was fourteen, and her tell is still squaring her shoulders like she's performing to an audience. I think it's fun to consider that she likes Kaz exactly because he's a bit of a showman, not in spite of it. That even though he's a conman and a thief and coddles his reputation so hard its difficult to tell where the truth even is, there's still something she finds familiar, or even comforting, in his theatricality and weakness for magic tricks.
