Can Someone Tell Me Why 'caulk' Was Chosen As The Word For The Material?
can someone tell me why 'caulk' was chosen as the word for the material?
like i'll hear someone say the word and it sounds way too close to another word I Will Not Say Here, and it takes me a few seconds to actually realize what they're saying. why can't it have been something else? why 'caulk' specifically?
and i'm sure there are other words that sound suspiciously close to others, i just can't think of anymore examples at the moment, but why would you name it that?
is anyone else confused on this or am i just being dumb rn?
