From the other post I said, Korekiyo does help Gonta improve the way he speaks. Once in a while, they practice to expand Gonta’s vocabulary. Korekiyo enjoys seeing his progress, but sometimes he misses the way Gonta used to talk.
Korekiyo wanted to add insect exhibit frames around the house (since he knows Gonta loves bugs and wants him to see them even at home.) At first Gonta kind of panicked about it since he thought they were dead. Now insect study prints hang on some of the walls, around the house.
There’s a reflection between them. Korekiyo has mainly been in his sister’s hospital room visiting her, you know how small those room are sometimes. It’s him being stuck with the weight of his sister constantly around him. While Gonta was just being a kid, being free in the forest away from society, doing whatever he wanted (I guess?). It really balances everything out.
Korekiyo is nearly underweight for his height, and of course with his sick covering half of his face, we know he’s sick (And the fact he hates Air Conditioners.) Gonta tries his best to remind Korekiyo to eat, cooks with/for him, and take walks in the morning or when they have the time. (Korekiyo also does his side of the job too, one person shouldn’t be doing all the work!) This also gives Korekiyo a chance to heal, rather than end up sick and dead like his sister. *cough* *cough*
(A story in my head) Kokichi takes Gonta’s glasses and accidentally breaks them. Korekiyo hears about this and decides to buy new glasses for Gonta. The glasses are circle, with gold frames, and cute bug/leaf decorations on the lenses (Reference /Yes those glasses are most likely for fashion BUT I THINK THEY’RE ADORABLE!!!) Gonta adores them, and thanks Korekiyo.
Korekiyo likes hugging/holding hands with Gonta. He’s like a big, warm marshmallow (Get it? Big Hero 6 reference.)
Gonta likes how calm Korekiyo (and his voice) is most of the time.
Imagine them, laying against each other on a couch, wrapped around by a blanket in front of a chimney with fire. Holding hot drinks in their hands, while snuggling up. They try knitting together, or recite their favorite books to each other.
Even though they both like receiving affection from each other, Gonta likes it more. He just asks Korekiyo for a couple of kisses, Korekiyo does so, and he just gets flustered up!
They both enjoy walking in the woods together, Gonta can go on about certain types of bugs that live in them while remembering his childhood. Korekiyo can talk about how forests are important for humans, and the relationship between them over the centuries. He can also explain how forests help and provide protection to bugs too!
Additionally: Korekiyo is usually tired, and likes to rest on Gonta’s shoulder. Gotta just wraps his arm around him when this happens.
(I’m mad that there wasn’t enough spacing between each line 🙂.)
Before I start, may I list two huge disclaimers. ONE, LORE OLYMPUS IS NOT PERFECT AND FLAWLESS. NOTHING IS PERFECT AND FLAWLESS. And two, just so you know who's yelling at you. My town of birth and childhood is Eleusis, a small town outside of Athens with a huge pagan history especially on Demeter and Persephone, where the Eleusinian Mysteries took place and where the Well which Persephone uses to go from the mortal to the Underworld and vica versa. So, you may say that my life and experience and beliefs (since I'm also a witch) give me some extra knowledge on that myth and that's the knowledge I'll use below
Now, are the characters in Lore Olympus flawed? Yes. They are not perfect even though they're gods and they make mistakes and present human flaws. Why's that? BECAUSE IN THE ANCIENT GREEK CULTURE AND MYTHOLOGY, THE PROJECTION OF HUMAN FLAWS INTO DEITIES WAS SO COMMON THAT WE EVEN SEE IT IN HOMER!
Also, may I remind you that Greek mythology is that. Mythology. Not a Bible. There's no official text, only a thousand versions of stories that change from the time and place and narrator. There is not one official truth that's universally accepted. So, what if Lore Olympus is not 100% accurate? The myths aren't accurate either. And why is it so bad that Smythe made her work hers and not a Wikipedia page? It never says it's an accurate retelling.
Thirdly, STOP JUDGING THE CHARACTERS ON THE MORALS OF CHRISTIANITY. HELLENIC SOCIETIES AND CHRISTIANITY HAVE DIFFERENT VALUES. First off, there's no concept of good or bad because the gods are flawed. There are some unbreakable unofficial rules, such as never leaving a dead body without a funeral or the rule of hybris. But, several things which the characters do are bad in the face of Christianity but fairly okay in the Hellenistic moral compass.
In addition and especially on Apollo. He's not the villain (even though he's often depicted as such and that's some Christian bs), he's just another flawed character like everyone else. Calling him a villain is putting Christian ideas into something that not only existed before chirstianity but was deeply hurt by Christianity. And, because I've heard that, Apollo from Lore Olympus is not the deity Apollo that people worship. And if you hate on a worshipper of Apollo based on just a comic, you may set your router on fire.
And lastly, you ableistic shits. Rachel Smythe has admitted that her drawing style is dynamic and on the heat of the moment and not consistent and that she has dyslexia. So, YOU'LL SEE SOME INCONSISTENCIES AND SPELLING ERRORS. HATING HER ON IT IS NOT ONLY IGNORANT BUT ALSO ABLEISTIC AND, AS ANOTHER DYSLEXIC WRITER, I WILL FUCKING SMITE YOU. What you do there is not criticism, unless pointing at the disabled kid in the schoolyard and laughing at them is what you shits call "criticism".
And, if you hate a comic so much, why do you spend your time and energy on hating it and not on something you love? You will find that your mood will get better, trust me. And if you used to hyperfixate and now hate it, find something else. The fact that you now hate it means the hyperfixation ended and you have to move on and find something that makes you feel better and makes you genuinely happy.
And, lastly, I acknowledge that Lore Olympus has flaws. Some I can list are, the way Apollo is villainized, the way the s.a. is treated, the way the toxic and abusive relationships and friendships are treated and the way trauma is treated. Tho, it is obvious that those flaws are rooted in little knowledge and not bad intends. There are warnings every time those are there and it is not done with a bad intend but just a lack of proper knowledge. But throwing tomatoes is not how this is fixed, but by letting the creator know with a way that shows that our intend is to make the work better, not tear it apart.

can’t believe im the only person on earth who thinks they should kiss… anyway!
People reblogging one of my Bart posts but it’s one of my most vague posts on him lol So I wanted to make a more indepth post if people actually are interested. And I’m going off the characterization his creator wrote for him, as it wasn’t very long for him till he was flanderized and not nearly as recognizable.
OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS ABOUT BART:
He is not a little rain of sunshine, and can be prone to getting into fights or scrapes with other kids. He is a teenager, who indeed, has teenage angst. Look at him go!
Yes, he even cusses! Sometimes in our modern English language, sometimes in future language.
He is not freaking 8–in the beginning of his solo he was 14 to 15 years old, and he hangs out with people his own age and an old guy. Writing him like he’s an elementary school student, can sometimes be genuinely offensive simply because it comes from his ADHD and people misunderstanding what it’s like–
Bart is NOT the biologically youngest member of Young Justice, and is older than both Tim and Greta (or at least I’m pretty sure in Greta’s case. I am 100% sure in Tim’s case.)
While Bart is primarily calm, he is prone to having fits like any other teenager, and can became a genuine brat. But it isn’t like he’s constantly having a fit. He’s just a teenager.
And while he’s not as hyper as people believe, he just has super speed, and like any average person, will get excited about things he finds cool, so he’ll speed around, he does zone out a lot, and have day dreams.
He is more of an introvert and does not enjoy popularity too much when he achieves it. He prefers being by himself or a small group of friends.
This teen has stolen cars, and it takes him a while to realize the hard way that life isn’t like the video games he grew up in.
There’s a page where he looks like this:
No, there is nothing important about it, I just thought it was really funny, and it reminded me of how Dick has worn Batman boxers before. That is all.
There are times where he can seem distant, because he’s very much a person stuck in his own head a lot of the time, but he genuinely really is a sweet, caring, helpful kid. It just sometimes take him a while to remember that.
He doesn’t actually talk that much in most situations. He has a smart ass remark every now and again, but he actually has very few words to say a lot of times unless he’s around someone he’s more comfortable being around like his friends or family.
Bart isn’t actually the shortest member of Young Justice, he was the same height as Tim and Cassie, and despite the latest Young Justice series written by Bendis suggests otherwise–Bart as an adult (which he is currently 19-years-old) is 5 foot 11, and even bigger than Wally, meaning he grows to be one of the taller members. So he gets a growth spurt more like Cassie, and less like Tim. The art is his solo was just stylized to be more cartoony, while others played more to 90s stereotypical art, or realism.
Inertia never lived with him. Most people are aware of that and just like to play with AUs, which is just fine, but some people aren’t aware of that lol.
Bart does have crushes on girls/women, and has since his very early days. Though, he doesn’t want to date his best friend, who is a girl. I’m mainly just saying this–because people like to infantilize him just because he has ADHD and choose to have him still act like girl’s are gross. When–he’s canonically had sex before. (Though he was an adult at the time, for the record.)
This isn’t the only example, but it’s the only one I have screenshotted. Other ones are way more obvious to the point Bart has hearts around his head.
He thinks more with pictures and scenes that play out, rather than words.
Sometimes Bart is more of a fish out of water, or alien-esque role, given he’s from the future and was only raised in V.R. Meaning that he isn’t aware of a lot of things due to how he was forced to be raised.
He’s not happy go lucky, he’s just not angsty as often as others.
Okay I saw @sippingteainurhood’s reply and wanted to give it its own post because it brings up a topic most fans look over. I’m not bringing in any personal opinions to this, I’m just stating what happens in the end of SotLK, and trust me, it will ruin your day.
So I know most people believe Bloom earned her full Enchantix after freeing everyone in Obsidian, but we never hear anyone confirm that in the movie (I’m going off the English dub — not the Nick English dub). It’s something viewers just kind of took at face value. Which is understandable because Bloom’s whole journey was about saving her planet and her birth parents, right?
But what I would like to point out is this: Bloom never saved anyone in Obsidian or restored Sparx, so it’s impossible for her to have earned her full Enchantix. And let me tell you the infuriating story as to why that is.
If you break down the battle on Obsidian, Bloom was going to die. Sky was believed to be dead from trying to take Oritel’s sword, and the Ancestral Witches fused themselves into Mandragora to enhance her power and was choking the life out of Bloom. Bloom only broke free of them because Sky wasn’t actually dead. Why did Sky not die? Because of a lovely little prophecy casually thrown into the film: “A king without a crown will save a king of a lost kingdom and what was lost will be again.” And guess who just so happened to be secretly crowned king of Eraklyon earlier in the movie? So Sky sneaks up behind Mandragora, and stabs her in the back with Oritel’s sword. And because of this, Obsidian is destroyed and Sparx is restored.
Bloom didn’t destroy Obsidian. Bloom didn’t save her people. And Bloom didn’t restore Sparx. Sky did.
We spent three seasons of this show that centered around girl power knowing Bloom’s destiny was to save her birth parents and restore Sparx just to have that be ripped away from her and given to her boyfriend.
She should have earned her full Enchantix then. But the plot was literally set up to where that could never happen because we had to have Sky swoop in and save the day and save his “princess” to remind everyone that he’s her “hero” (a theme that pops up quite frequently in this movie).
So yeah. I hope that ruined everyone’s day as much as it ruined mine.
