You sighed as you finished your last paper. It was finals week and you were officially done with your exams and term papers for the semester. The last couple of weeks were rough and no one knew that more than you and your boyfriend Calum who has been by your side through this whole stressing process.

You smiled to yourself as you remembered the encouraging words that Calum often said to you. He knew how hard you worked in school and at your part time job in a law firm, and you appreciated how much he cared for you in times of stress and frustrations. Always cheering you up from the bleechers as you made a name for yourself.

Calum promised that once you were done with school for the semester, he was going to take you out on a well deserved Holiday, just the two of you and Duke as you celebrated another six months worth of work done. Everything was already planned for the next weekend and you couldn’t wait.

But I'm glad my curiousity won because this is such a gem. It was painful and lovely unpacking all the discoveries in their relationship (or lack of) per chapter 🥰. I swear the plot “twists” per episode made the fic extra memorable.

You have finally finished getting ready for wherever Eunji was taking you. 

Frankly speaking, she had no idea herself. All she was told was that the two of you had to dress competently for a function.

Or as her friend Jimin put it, “Sexy enough so someone wants to take you home.” 

You watch your best friend finish off her already striking makeup with a bold red lip. Eunji has always been more of a fashionista than you, making sure that all the attention in the room is on her and preferably nobody else. It was her who had compelled you to primp up, and so here you were, looking the best you probably have in a while.

She let you borrow one of her dresses, an off-white midi dress adorned with lace upon silk, cosy to your body, its touch both light and soothing. You clipped your layered fringe back with a soft, pink bow and opted for a simple makeup look. 

Getting ready for an event is not your favourite sport, so having Eunji by your side is something you thank the heavens for repeatedly every time an occasion like this rises.

You now sit on your bed, tediously playing with your plushie whilst waiting for Eunji to finish. You sigh out loudly, making her turn to look at you, wondering what could possibly be bothering you now.

“Eunji…” You trail off, waiting for a response before continuing. A slight hum indicates that she’s listening and so you continue, “are you sure this is a smart idea? I mean he just told you that he’s in love with you and you’ve planned all this?”, feeling nervous as you heat up, wiping your sweaty palms on the pillow you have placed in your lap.

I loved how the characters had their own previous relationship baggage and personal trauma and how they helped each other grow but they also needed to grow individually for this relationship to work.

Kick Up the Fire and Let the Flames Break Loose by @ffion451​ (ft. Yoongi) [series, complete] - enemies to lovers, strangers to lovers A truly phenomenal and angsty story. I don’t have enough words for how OC & Tae’s relationship makes me feel. Also, Taehyung has the biggest BDE and D. The smut in this is unparalleled. (And honestly, I think about this Tae way to often for it to be normal. Like weekly, Ffi. Weekly.)

Serendipity by @sopebubbles​ (ft. Jungkook) [series, complete] - idol au This is so ARMY! It’s written so realistically you can hear the members and just know they would also be making those jokes. And it’s also way too realistic you might hate some of the characters I’m still mad.

of stars erased by @fantasybangtan​ [two-shot, 39.7k] - dystopian Beautiful Romeo & Juliet kind of fic meets apocalypse. Jimin is the sweetest angel and such a little hopeless romantic.

So much oc angst and figuring out what she wants. Plus producer rapline and a story all about love for music. 10/10.

Away From You by @personasintro​ [series, ongoing] - divorce au, ceo Yoongi This Yoongi is one of my all-time favorites. OC and Yoongi have such a fraught love story that you’re both rooting for them and hoping they break it off at the same time (at least I did). 

VEXED by @taleasnewastime​ [one-shot, 34.5k] - famous actress reader, strangers to lovers This one is a little less love story angsty and more personal angst. OC’s a famous actress who got dumped and things aren’t going so well but in walks our angel Yoongi. Plus super sweet snack bonding.
