Birthday gift for my brother, no name yet. (gifted)

I finished my first work made in Helsinki, but I don’t have a scanner at home so it might take a while before I can post it, I already got a name for it, but since I stopped translating the names of my works into english it would just be weird on a post I also put on my sideblog.

I moved to South-Finland so my workflow has been a bit stunted again, I’ve been mostly sketching and working on making Suomaa into something else except the ugly piece of unreadable trash it is and I also started another more artsy and less up it’s own ass in terms of comic tradition project. New stuff will be out as soon as I find a way to scan it in Helsinki for free.

Haamuna kodissasi, 2021 

’’Asuin täällä ennen. Nyt otan kaukaisia kuvia maailmastasi. Näen sinut missä et näe minua. Kuvajaiseni ja hajuni lymyävät nurkissa, mutta muotoni on vain läpikulkumatkalla. Täytät nyt kotiini jättämäni aukon, mutta minua ei haittaa. Näen silti menneeseen, vaikkakin kaukaa ja vääristyneesti. Se riittää minulle.’’ 

‘’I lived here before. Now I’m taking pictures of your world from far away. I see you where you don’t see me. My projection and smell lurk in the corners, but my shape is just passing through. 2021

Pictures I took from my parents house that got grainy as shit due to the weird and very pink light conditions I used to live in, which turned out to be great for the theme of pictures from afar. Kinda made me think of photos from space or some shitty paranormal hoax stuff. The text is uncharacteristically written in book finnish because it was for school. My better, more recent stuff is coming when I somehow scan it.

It’s finally out! The 2nd and last album of Äiti Heresia was a long time coming. Their lead commissioned me to make this about a year ago and I’ve been anxiously waiting to post it ever since.
