Please don’t get too attached to your child’s birth-assigned gender. Their gender may end up being something completely different, and if so, they’ll need your love and support more than ever. I make this plea as a woman whose father won’t accept her because he’s more attached to his idea of a “son” than he is to the actual person (woman) that exists. Please, please love your children for who they are, whoever they turn out to be.
