(Hello Everyone! This Is My First Official Post Here And I Hope You Like It)

I spent my holidays in the Emergency room.

I was discharged early this morning. I am actually in a state of mixed emotions. I’m still in shock, that I was on the cusp of death and didn’t even know it, all I knew was I had a headache all day. I checked my blood sugar and it was 465mg/dl. Comatose is 600mg/dl.

I was quite literally almost in a comatose state and the only indicator was a headache. That is so terrifying, what if I ignored it like I always do. I always ignore my pain. I would have died. When I arrived to the ER they treated me like I was shot, they were so scared and in a state of panic. I watched how the nurses struggled to stay calm. It didn’t register to me I was near death until they were able to get my blood sugar down. Doctor Mishka told me if I went to sleep that night there was a high probability I would not have made it. He was so relieved that I came in when I did. He had incredible bed side manner especially because I suffer from depression and anxiety. He was so happy that I was alive. He could have scolded me, but I could feel the love and concern.

Most of all I’m upset because I have been managing my diabetes just fine. But because of financial stresses and losing insurance I don’t have access to my $1000 Victoza insulin anymore and THAT made the difference between life and death literally. I hate that my health problems arose around the holidays. I feel like a burden to those just trying to enjoy their holidays with their friends and family. I spent 13 days begging to see my endocrinologist and came up short and had a near death diabetic episode as a result. I shouldn’t have to rely on strangers to have my medical care needs met. Healthcare should be FREE.

I was in need of $518 and it turned into $12,690 of medical debt. That is so detrimental and discouraging.

I still have to follow up with my endocrinologist. If this time I successful in crowdfunding I will have to crowdfund for insulin prescribed.

PLEASE Help me reach this goal. PLEASE help me see my doctor. The only other alternative is death or continue racking up unnecessary medical debt by making trips to the ER. Thats if I can make the drive. Even at the face of death I refuse to take an ambulance.

Emergency: Laptop Broke

Hey folks.

I am a thirty-something disabled trans guy from Germany currently doing my second masters degree. And I have a little problem right now.

I normally do not ask for money on my tumblr. But right now I really could use a bit of help. My laptop broke very unexpectedly, even though it was just 14 months since I bought it. And it broke in a way that it is not really fixable.

I had to buy a new laptop to be able to participate in university and stuff. While I had some money saved up, I still have to pay up with my landlord, because my former roommate refuses to pay the dept she has with the landlord. While I hope I can eventually sue for the money back... Right now I do not have it.

And I just had to spend 750 bucks on a new laptop.

So, if you have any money to spare, I would greatly appreciate it if you left some on my Ko-Fi or PayPal.
