Would you have a collection of the instances where they talk about Mithrun’s noodle shop?

As far as I know it is mentioned only twice, once when they're trying to cheer him up so he has a new dream and once when Cithis asks "weren't you gonna open a noodle shop" in the second life extra

Actually now that you mention the "shop" part wasn't said out loud, I guess it came from the visual in Laios' imagination? Lemme know if I forgot any!

Remember how, in the Touden party, everyone had to swap clothes when they changed races, since that was the only way they could feasibly find clothing that fit them in their new body types under such short notice?

Kabru and Mithrun had to do the same thing, and for the same reasons. They had to swap the bottom halves of their outfits to be able to accommodate to their new forms. Normal enough, right?

Normal enough until you realize that Kabru is still wearing his armor, which looks inordinately large on him. Which begs the question: why didn’t they swap the top halves of their outfits?

It’s because…oh god, I can’t even say it with a straight face…it’s because Mithrun’s upper body is too buff to fit into Kabru’s plate armor. Poor Kabru has to lug that thing around like a huge metal circus tent because Mithrun’s too fucking jacked to fit into it himself.

based off an idea i've had for a few months but didn't feel skilled enough to depict until now - what if delgal had a delayed reaction to thistle essentially killing his son? what would that look like?

also, when he's saying "forgive me" at the end, those words are for both thistle and eodio.

Part of why I’m so defensive of the name Thistle is that I just think it fits him so perfectly and has some really interesting meaning you can assign to it outside of it just being his eye color.

Where I come from, thistles are considered a nuisance species. They have massive taproots that burrow deep underground, so once one pops up in your garden or yard you’re going to have a hell of a time removing it. The scotch thistle, like above, is considered invasive and listed as a noxious weed, and though there are many native thistle species they all tend to get lumped together by the average person.

And yet, thistles are incredibly important to their local ecosystem. They provide food and shelter for many species, especially pollinators, and are hardy survivalists. In some places they’re seen very favorably, such as being the symbol of Scotland. Their prickly nature means that few people are likely to mess with them, which makes them an effective symbol of resilience and protection.

But, despite this, to many they are just weeds. A nuisance, to be tolerated at best and exterminated with little prejudice if the wrong kind is in the wrong place to the point that it draws attention. Despite the fact that ultimately it is us humans who brought them to these new locations. I think there is no malice in simply trying to be alive.

Love how after Shuro and Laios get in a fistfight in episode 17, the healers take care of the injuries and even deaths of literally everyone else, but leave those two a beat-up mess. Their injuries are the fault of their own stupidity, so now they just have to suffer.
