~✧°+* 6/100 days of doing better*+°✧~

A very uneventful day. I had a slow morning and around noon I was hit by a panic attack out of nowhere. It took me quite a while to calm down from it and after I decided to take it slow instead of trying to force productivity.
Taking a day off or taking a break is still productive if it helps you stay functional in the long run!
Other than that I wrote like half a poem and went on a very long walk at night.
Positive things I did today:
kept the duolingo Spanish streak going
went for a walk
attended a meeting for a tutoring job
Hours slept: ~8hrs Screentime: 6hrs Steps taken: ~7.700
all these unfunny jokes about how german is such a hard and awful language >:(
well, can your language do this?
Shakespearean Insults:
All eyes and no sight
LUMP OF FOUL DEFORMITY
Thou art a boil, a plague-sore, an embossed carbuncle
Not so much brain as earwax
ANOINTED SOVEREIGN OF SIGNS AND GROANS
A fusty nut with no kernel
SERPENT HEART, HID WITH FLOWERING FACE
Crusty botch of nature
HIGHLY FED AND LOWLY TAUGHT
You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian
Idol of idiot-worshippers!
No kernel in this light nut; the soul of this man is his clothes
All the infections that the sun sucks up from bogs
Infinite and endless liar, an hourly promise-breaker
You guys just have to trust me on this one and click here okay?
Going on study dates to pretty libraries, fighting to find a seat next to each other.
On discord listening to them go through a powerpoint the night before their big presentation.
The Arts/Humanities one proof-reading the STEM one's motivation letters/long emails.
Reading through interesting research in bed together, sharing the one phone screen.
Alternating between who is the one making tea for the study session. (Bonus: matching study mugs)
Study breaks include marveling over some super niche knowledge acquired during the study session.
Emailing an article as a pdf, and titling the email "I thought you'd find this interesting :-)"
Setting a timer for a cuddle break when the assignment work gets too overwhelming. Celebrating together when the assignment gets done.
Sharing the excitement of finding a new productivity app / stationary shop / study hack.

I had one of the most stressful e-mail exchanges ever today. It was with a professor of mine (the dean of the English department and therefore also technically my boss) and it was... a truly surreal experience. It was basically just both of us trying to be as polite as possible which, in the end, lead us to basically get nowhere with that conversation. It was so strange it was funny, but I hope something like that never happens to me again :')
Other than that my day was mainly filled with chores. Sadly, I still haven't managed to fully get back to my academic tasks. I want to but I just can't concentrate. On Sunday I'll be going back to my appartment and things should improve from there! Next weekend will also be super packed (more birthdays and plans with friends), which gives me a nice, gentle personal deadline.
Positive things I did that day:
did two loads of laundry
went grocery shopping
fed the pets
cooked lunch for the family
started doing some paper work
watched 2 episodes of the Netflix show Liebes Kind (very good so far!)
Hours slept: ~ 8hrs 30mins Screentime: ~7hrs Steps taken: ~1.000
How to Finish
I drew this poster for Jon Acuff and his FINISH book tour. Big thanks to Jon for this collaboration, his book has some great ideas about how to complete creative and life goals.
Redesigned the Disney fairies this time ((: gonna do the book ones next <3
My commissions are open btw! If anyone is interested pls dm me on here, Instagram or email me
Hey you. You know you should be doing The Thing. I don't want to do The Thing, either. But we can sit down and do it for 2 minutes together. Then we can do it for 5 minutes. Then 10. And so on and so forth until it is done. I'll be coming back to reiterate this.
To whoever needs to hear it: it does not have to be perfect. It does not have to be world altering. It just needs to be done. And I'll sit with you while you do The Thing.
Now go. Stop scrolling. Go work on The Thing. I'll be back to check on you and cheer us both on.
