Thank You So Much For Running @peroxide-foam! I Love Your Take On Labcore So Much. It's Refreshingly

Thank you so much for running @peroxide-foam! I love your take on labcore so much. It's refreshingly clean and crisp, perfect for those who want to be morally-ambiguous scientists who want to be more subtle about it or just don't like things that glow green. Props!

I should be the one saying thanks to you, Anonymous! I'm really glad to know someone's got similar sentiments about how science feels to them too.

Initially, I got into making 'clean' labcore moodboards as a way to drown the insecurities I had about my own laboratory by saying that it's okay if your workspaces are sterile and boring because there can be a massive sense of comfort in being able to focus on your experiments in a calm, non-overwhelming environment!

Btw, your message inspired me to collect even more. Thanks beyond kindly :)

I know this probably sounds really mean but one of my favorite pastimes is watching New York and Massachusetts fight over who has the best library resources because every single time they try to best the other, it gifts the entire scientific community a new research tool for free

When I first got started with directing my own experiments, I had that “I don’t want to be seen with my fancy textbooks because I’ll look like I don’t know what I’m doing!” outlook going on almost constantly.

Now I’m here saying “Hold up, I forgot how this works, let me get the book that I remember learning it from.”

This is the most simplified I could make it... Here’s a histology “slide” of a human adrenal gland for y’all who “don’t do cells.” (Placement may be a bit inaccurate, cause I stole this from a borrowed notebook.)

Fun fact: I once had someone try to argue with me that the adrenal gland is a “kidney warmer” that does not actually produce hormones, because “it doesn’t look like a real organ.”

May you all reach a point in your career where you can steal a chart off the internet and only draw it halfway then say almost nothing important about it and file it as an “important research note” for later use in a presentation

Snatched a diagnostic chart for parathyroid disorders out of a textbook I couldn’t take home because I don’t trust private libraries and also here’s some possible causes of elevated basophils:
