I am a minor, and most of my followers are too

It makes me feel extremely guilty

Seeing pictures of injuries or hospitals etc are triggering for me (which are in most intro posts for this sort of thing)

They are always worded in a way that makes me feel like I am a murderer if I don't donate

It makes me feel uncomfortable

I said I don't want them, and my boundaries should be respected

I can't tell what is a bot and what isn't (although I know a large portion of them are NOT bots)

I get a lot of spam from this. It is disappointing to see 10 new asks in my inbox just to be the same ask for donations over and over

Wanted to highlight an interesting take on Flying Scotsman and Gordon’s relationship. This entire series is so good! It’s a continuation of the series and a lot of love and dedication is clearly put into this. Please watch the entire series, it definitely feels like the series continued (and did away with Mattel’s meddling and poor writing).

Fair warning, Scotsman is a lot meaner in this series but it’s wonderfully done. Percy’s great in the 3rd episode too, his cheeky Season 1/2 self abounds.

She claims that we support pedo’s, which is not only false, but also EXTREMELY harmful. The reason for this is that we defended two users that make NSFW art which is censored, properly tagged, and posted on Patreon ONLY accessible to 18+ folk (and SHE’S the one that took their art and posted it on her accounts for everyone to see). If she REALLY cared about protecting minors from NSFW stuff she wouldn’t make a post defending literal TWINCEST of Bill and Ben (who are minor coded I believe)

If she cared about protecting minors from NSFW, she also wouldn’t interact with a person known for not only stealing art, but also making NSFW of logos. She also wouldn’t tag a post with “minors in fandom need to sit the fuck down”.

Additionally, she constantly claims that we are harassing her. Which is, you guessed it, also false. Most of us have her blocked, or haven’t interacted with her at all. Meanwhile, she’s the one that called someone a literal SLUR and said some disgusting things about another user

Tired of the eternal bullshit from tttetwt. Saw a person on my TL I thought I'd muted for Reasons and sure enough when I saw them I was immediately annoyed all over again for their horrible take sometime last year—not only did they not realise Henry was seen by many as a disabled icon, upon learning it they denied that this was even possible because "Awdry didn't write him to represent that."

First of all, Theory of the Author and their Degrees and Deadness and all that.

But also? That's what makes Henry's arc hit so fucking hard? The extra oomph of him being written off by everyone—even his own creator thought he was inconvenient and it was better for him to die.

That his character survived Awdry's intent to quietly kill him off (due to the publishers' interests, of course—chance—but also in conjunction with all the young readers who wrote fan letters expressing their love for Henry!) is why we LOVE him.

The invisibly disabled often feel abandoned or hated by God/universe. Is it any wonder they feel such a connection to a character whose (capital-C?) Creator was also like "oh fuck, how embarrassing to have made a mistake like this guy, better let him suffer and die"?

In the end, even Awdry—though at first he was basically bullied into giving Henry some real attention—had to back down and acknowledge Henry as the "Enterprising Engine."

Is it any wonder that people resonate with this icon who eventually showed up GOD HIMSELF?

Why is there such a huge emphasis on Edward's 'old age' amongst fans and sometimes in the series itself, but more importantly, fan depictions of him as this decrepit old man. He's at most 17 years older than James. Look at this guy's face, he's like, the face of eternal youthful beauty. He looks like a wry and mischievous fae folk charming you away into a forest where you will fucking never be seen again. GOODBYE.

And don't get me wrong, I like describing/thinking of him as older, it gives his struggles and his dedication more merit and weight, but he's not anyone's peepaw by any means. People act like this poor guy was made in 1806 as opposed to earliest 1896.

Maybe at the time, when he was holed up in the sheds, he was 'older'. Marginally. Like how you look at your Samsung S10 and frown because it's not the S21 ultra. I wouldn't call that a grandpa, would you?
