Hot take but canes are not a limited resource. Most mobility aids aren’t but canes especially. Canes are $20 at a lot of stores like CVS, Walmart, etc. You aren’t taking that resource away from “real” disabled people (hint: you ARE a real disabled person) in fact buying more canes creates more demand and works to make more stores carry them for better prices. You aren’t faking being disabled or hurting disabled people, you’re working to make canes more accessible which is helping disabled people.

I keep seeing people responding to the executive order Trump signed defining biological sex as being fixed at conception, and everyone's making the same joke that it means all Americans are women now because all embryos develop as female at first (hence male nipples).

However, since the order declared biological sex to be based on what gametes (sex cells i.e. sperm or egg) one produces, then that obviously means that no one has a biological sex since no one produces gametes at conception. Congrats Trump! Everyone's non-binary now.

First day using my cane went bad tbh-

I didn’t have it at the correct height so it hurt my shoulder for a while and now it’s sore and some people stared at me but it stopped me from falling so many times which is great I feel really supported by it which is great! My friends say that it matches my aesthetic which idek how it does but thank god it does
