Research is the most important thing to do before heading into Faery work and witchcraft. You want to have a lot of in depth and versatile knowledge covering many areas of the topic so you’ll be able to understand and interact with the Fair Folk! If you don’t want to work with the Fair Folk you can use this list to help yourself understand them and take the proper measure if you ever stumble upon them. I know the list could go on forever but I’m compiling the topics I find build a good foundation of understanding. I have compiled this list to give those interested guidance and a push in the right direction, it is best you do your own research before asking other’s personal knowledge and opinions!!

**if you have more topics, books or anything else feel free to add some!
Aries moon: Your emotions are more important than everyone else’s because you think your emotions are harder to bear than theirs. Super whiny about whatever’s bothering you that day. You think you’ve had it worse and you think everyone should know. Very immature about handling your emotions. You won’t listen to others emotions because you’d rather “keep to yourself.”
Taurus moon: You’re materialistic and boast about it. You always want to know other’s problems to assert to yourself that at least you aren’t dumb enough to have their problems. You think the only way to win an argument is with a manipulative ultimatum. You think everyone needs your approval to feel their emotions.
Gemini moon: You always want to know everyone’s emotions and problems because you want to see what would happen if you told everyone involved. You can’t be held responsible. You think everyone’s over-exaggerating their problems. You always wait too long to apologize. Deflecting is your motto.
Cancer moon: You’ll probably cry over this. You’re way too overemotional. You tell everyone you follow your new breathing exercise when you start to freak out and panic. You get things by making others feel guilty for you. Unhealthily possessive of people and objects, probably shown in childhood, “She can’t be your favorite, she’s already my favorite!”
Leo moon: You want everyone to pity you because you thrive on attention. Also wanting people to hate you because you thrive on attention, even if it’s negative, so you hurt them. You get upset when you walk past people and they don’t say “speak of the devil!” or start whispering and pointing. You are dramatic when you’re recounting your past problems but always make your current problems seem better because you don’t like to admit that you actually can’t do everything by yourselves.
Virgo moon: You preach communication but you always fail to actually communicate. You claim to know the best for everyone and you will blame anyone else when your plan went south. Everyone treats you as their welcome mat and you let them. You worry to the point of panic. You aren’t actually the smartest person you know even though you think you are.
Libra moon: You are the most boring person emotionally. You bottle up your emotions really well until you can’t take it and you explode. You can never tell when it’s going to happen so you spend time driving people away before it can. You think you need to interfere with everyone else’s problems. “Stick a pin in it,” is your favorite quote.
Scorpio moon: You’re sensitive but can’t deal with anyone knowing it. You can’t handle your ‘intense’ emotions. You want to be emotionally detached but you always end up oversharing. Your unhealthy coping mechanisms aren’t as cute as you think they are. Your common sense seems to stop whenever you encounter a slight problem.
Sagittarius moon: You can’t handle staying some where for too long. Your random daydreaming is annoying. You’re always clueless to other peoples emotions, stemming from the fact that you just don’t care. You get so consumed in your beliefs that you won’t listen to reason or the truth. You think you can test your limits but then you end up in bed, moping for three days.
Capricorn moon: You think your responsibility equates to your emotional maturity, but you are one of the worst at dealing with your emotions. You need efficiency and sacrifice neatness to do it. But you won’t accept anyone else’s feelings unless they’re perfect or they benefit you. You always have a hard time emotionally connecting with people.
Aquarius moon: You crave individuality so much that you’ll ruin your life with anything that makes you feel different, like drugs. You can’t emotionally connect with people because any sign that someone feels the way you do feels like a personal attack. Aloof with their emotions.
Pisces moon: You claim to have everything under control but you can’t even handle your own emotions. When people talk about needing to use baby gloves they’re talking about you. You’re judgmental about everyone else’s emotions but you always have a justification for yours.

Who is ready for another journal Prompt for their shadow work journey?
This prompt is looking into more towards our insecurities and how we can work with them rather than against them.
1. List your current struggle(s) when it comes to loving yourself. This can be any aspect about yourself that holds you back from fully loving yourself unconditionally.
2. What habit(s) do you want to begin this month? I don’t know about you but I procrastinate a lot. I tend to lose interest quickly if I don’t start making changes now. Many times this is meaning I get started during the middle of the month. In my opinion, it doesn’t have to be specifically in the beginning of a new month. Changes happen all the time, regardless of the month. Get started now, don’t wait.
3. What are the compliment(s) you struggle to accept about yourself? Why? I personally struggle with compliments when it comes to my appearance. It makes me uncomfortable and I don’t fully enjoy them because mainly I didn’t believe that it is true. This journal prompt helped me realize that I need to start believing what people are saying to me about my appearance.
4. How can you use your negative qualities and spin them around to bring positivity into your life? This takes quite a long time to master honestly, this process is retraining your brain to reject the self sabotaging and stop to notice the feelings that are negative, acknowledge the emotion and turning it positive. For example instead of saying, “I’m bad at Math” say “I make progress everyday with Math”, etc.
We are all still a work in progress, by all means take your time and remember to reach out to a licensed professional if you need to. My inbox is open for support if anyone needs help or just needs to talk. I am not a licensed professional.
I hope these bring you all healing and clarity in your Shadow Work Journey.
1) Scry Half Asleep
Go to a quiet place, and dim the lights.
Close your eyes and ask your higher power a question.
Pay attention to what you see. Names… numbers… faces… dates.
Once the visions stop, open your eyes and note them down.
After a few days, see if and how they manifested.
I once saw an old clock and heard the word “Praha”. I ended up being sent to Prague on a fully paid trip unexpectedly.
At first, your visions will mean nothing. They will be shallow. A McDonald’s signage… A TV commercial… This is your intuition warming up. Soon enough, it will be sprinting. As long as you keep going.
2) Designate People to Tarot
To a beginner, the characters in tarot can feel out of reach and intimidating. Bring them down to earth.
Does Strength remind you of your mother? Is she calm and fearless in the face of danger?
Does The Fool remind you of Harry Potter? Is he young and untrained, but rich in nerve and courage?
Do you see yourself in the Seven of Pentacles? Always planting seeds that are never quite ripe enough for harvest?
The next time you read tarot, you will not be seeing strangers, but people you know by heart. This is how your intuition can connect to the cards.
3) Record Your Dreams
Keep a journal on your nightstand.
The moment you wake up, write down what you remember. No matter how meaningless, no matter how strange.
Did you see yourself naked in public? Or late for class? Perhaps falling from a building? The theme here is fear.
Did you see a younger version of yourself? In a playground? Maybe eating a snack no longer sold today? The theme is nostalgia.
Analyze your own dreams. Research them further if you like.
This is you bridging the gap between your conscious and subconscious. This is you taming your intuition.
4) Know People’s Zodiac Signs
Be curious about your teachers’, superiors’ and peers’ astrological personality, even if only through their Sun sign.
Watch how the Air signs harmonize with Fire, yet clash with Earth and Water.
See how a Scorpio is quietly strong in her intensity, while an Aries is loud with his.
Life is complicated, and people are complex. But if you can understand their basic instincts, you will make fewer foes and more friends.
More importantly, your intuition will be able to warn if a person wishes you harm.
5) Devour Literature
For all the intricacies of life, every feeling that has ever been felt has already been recorded.
See movies. Read books. Really hear the words. Really watch the gestures.
Understanding characters is a step to understanding people, which ultimately leads to understanding yourself.
It will help you realize that your intuition is not some external being that is difficult to grasp. You will find that it and you have always been one right from the start.
These are some things that I consider red flags in witches I have come across before:
Believes only women can be witches.
Believes that magic/spirituality/energy/crystals can cure mental illness, physical illness, chronic illness, and disorders.
Doesn't respect closed paths or practices.
Tells others how their paths should be.
Won't stop telling witches they need to protect themselves from deities.
Thinks they are more powerful than anyone else, won't stop talking about how powerful they are.
Judges all witches with Wiccan rules.
Treats baby witches like they are somehow idiots and don't deserve respect.
Calls themselves a fancy title without being able to back it up.
Thinks hereditary witches are more powerful/better than first generation witches.
These are just a few I've noticed. If you know of any others, add them in reblogs or replies!
