Journal Prompts for Shadow Work #3

Hello family! Let’s do another journal Prompt!

This one is going a little further regarding self reflection and noticing some unhealthy habits or behaviors that affect you negatively. I remind that you use these prompts with caution and to reach out to your support system if needed for extra support.

1. Describe the top 3 lessons that you have learned the hard way: these could be small lessons or large lessons which ever ones that impacted your life the most. Go into detail if you need to.

2. Describe the top 5 negative habits or behaviors you wish to change or understand? Negative behaviors could be; being quick to anger, self destructive habits, talking poorly about others, etc.

3. Are you afraid of being yourself in front of others? Are there certain people whom you don’t feel comfortable being yourself around? Why? This is the time to reflect who you surround yourself with and who makes you feel uncomfortable being your most authentic self. Explore the reasons behind why you feel this way. Is it worth having them in your life if you cannot practice being yourself? Or how can you be comfortable being yourself around these people?

4. Are you projecting your habits onto others without realizing it? Sometimes when we hurt or we are upset/uncomfortable/ don’t like something about ourselves we take our unwanted feelings or emotions and attributing them onto someone else. Usually an example would be; a cheating spouse would accuse the other of cheating, a friend betraying and accuse the other of betraying, a person lying and accuse the other of lying, etc.

ღ libra placements don’t get the in-depth rep that they deserve, most libra placements struggle with self image because growing up they were put of the expectation to please and be somewhat perfect from what I’ve noticed, and a lot of things were put on their plate to “balance”, and they seem so put together which makes people not worry about them much. They’re truly caring but to what fault?

ღ Virgo placements notice, they have noticed from the start who you truly are. ღ Someone with Pluto / Scorpio in 4th may struggle opening up with what truly goes inside them and their emotional foundations and home life. So if one of these placements opens up to you about their childhood, you probably have their trust and love.

ღ Jupiter in 10th individuals will find themselves gravitating into work life and heavy work areas because they can truly find happiness when their talents are being put out there, and may attract envy from people who wish they got the same opportunities as them because they naturally attract more luck in the area.

ღ Where Jupiter is placed in your chart is where you are most likely to develop an ego about and where Saturn is placed in your chart can tell you how you will be humbled. Example; someone with Jupiter in 11th with Saturn in 10th are naturally popular and talented and this shows through their reputation, however they can get a bit of an ego with their charm related to 11th house values and Saturn will humble them through their reputation and how they are presented so they can re-value.

ღ The sign of your 11th can show how blessings will change you and overall what you can gain from being hopeful. Capricorn in 11th= maturity & wisdom

ღ Scorpio placements / 8th house placements may have a hard time settling down a good positive routine even though they deserve it, Scorpio placements constantly go through transformation so when things go quite good they’re quite skeptical.

ღ People with Aquarius in 12th may find themselves being more creative at night and more intuitive also more hyper and innovative may have a hard time falling asleep.

ღ Scorpio placements especially women tend to attract a lot of jealousy especially because of their looks & talents and people love to stare at them as well but they may not be aware of it. Scorpio placements are more prone to having a love & hate reputation.

ღ Earth mars & strong mars- saturn unless negatively afflicted are very good advice givers and they are not the type to get angry so easily which is why they are a safe place for a lot of people, to get them mad you must have fucked up badly.

ღ Capricorn mars are one of the most wise and unapologetic people when do you them wrong of course, they’re the type to cut you off after dealing with your shit for a bit longer than they should have and you will not hear from them again.

ღ It’s true do not mess with an aquarius or/and capricorn placements & capricorn in the 12th & aquarius in the 12th & saturn in the 12th individuals are heavily protected and karma is a big theme in their life. If you do them wrong, you will pay a lot of karma but here is the thing if they themselves do something wrong they will pay too quite a lot. A double edged sword, this is why they’re so wise. Should be careful on how they handle karmic situations.

ღ Scorpio placements & 8th house placements & pluto influence even if they have a lot of mutuals and simple friends, it’s very hard for them to be very vulnerable with you and this is because Scorpio placements grew up in an environment where what they have shared & told & did has been used agains’t them.

ღ The 3rd house shows your early neighborhood & it’s influences. A scorpio in 3rd or Aries in 3rd could have had a suspenseful neighborhood or not so good childhood. A Taurus in 3rd could have grown in a nice home maybe even rich if not afflicted. A Libra in 3rd could have had a nice home but if afflicted could have had a neighborhood that was out of balance. So look at the rest of the chart. Planets in 3rd will affect it and the ruler of 3rd.

ღ Someone with Lilith in 8th may feel guilty after masturbating or anything sexual either that or quite powerful. May have been raised in an environment where it was seen as too taboo.

ღ 9th house & 7th house will show the energy of your marriage life and a bit of the 10th house too.

ღ You may get into a relationship during your Venus return or when it is close, or at least meet someone special, strengthen your bonds with others as well, more money influences too.

ღ Chiron in 12th individuals strive when there is healthy boundaries put in their life as they’re prone to energy & spiritual attacks. It’s best they stay protected.

ღ Chiron in Aquarius & 11th individuals should be aware to not get so addicted to the internet, they may have wounded experiences from it. The type of children who had unsupervised screen time when they were younger.

ღ Sun square sun in synastry if negatively manifested (especially if close) could indicate competitiveness & jealousy & ego crashes. (Especially if it is Cardinal modality)

ღ Pluto touching ascendant Individuals / Pluto in 1st individuals have a very striking appearance even if they are not conventionally physically attractive, people can’t help but notice their beauty. Some people may even be obsessed with their looks, but the native may have a hard time in younger years seeing their beauty and may not see it correctly. The type of appearance that stays in someone’s memory for a while.

ღ Venus in Cancer individuals give mom & dad vibes. People with not so good family life are drawn to them since they provide a safe place of love and nurturing like a parent that was emotionally or physically absent in your life they have the power to act as a parental figure.

ღ Venus in Cancer individuals if positively manifested could enjoy talking to their family & loving their family and could have grown in a rich or at least safe loving environment especially the mother. It’s like the soft side you have seen of them washes away for few seconds, anyways do not mess with them they know where to sting and can be quite vengeful and are not afraid to be petty. Don’t mess with them and you’ll be fine, they’re quite apologetic mostly.

ღ Where your Sun is in could be the area energy vampires try to drain you from the area people wanna make you dark in. Sun in 2nd= Draining your self value & resources & self taught skills. Sun in 7th= A lot of enemies & your partnerships & romantic relationships & marriage & rumors & legal accusations.

ღ People with debilitated & fall placements are one of the strongest people I know. The way they keep fighting is admirable. Not all so bad, watch a Libra sun become so independent is admirable because once they have a power to do that no one can stop them. Watch a Cancer mars finally stand up for themselves, that’s what I wanna see.

ღ People with 12th house energy & stelliums are one of the most homey vibes people I know there is just a really grabbing aura to them.

ღ Pisces & 12th house placements may forget simple things but tend to have a very photographic energy.

ღ Pisces & Scorpio placements are most likely to like weed.

ღ As previously mentioned the 2nd house & planets in the 2nd house can show self-taught skills. Aries in 2nd= Self taught independence. Sun in 2nd= Self taught ego & confidence. It’s usually what we have to work on to keep a treasure.

ღ Libra Venuses are true sweethearts they will always check up on you the type of friend to stick with you for so long.

ღ Scorpio Mercuries & Lilith- Mercuries & 8th house mercuries may struggle with random intrusive thoughts they may get out of nowhere.

ღ If a Taurus sun & Sun in 2nd is positively aspected could indicate a father who had good resources & money was quite stable in those area. If negatively afflicted could indicate a father who struggled a bit in those areas but still remarkable.

ღ Page of swords in Tarot represents younger Air signs (Libra, Gemini, Aquarius) An immature air sign can be quite the lurker and perhaps a stalker, they probably loved the internet too much when younger especially. (This is because Page of swords can indicate a stalker especially an Internet lurker & stalker)

ღ Earth placements (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) thrive when connected to nature they also remind me of garden fairies. They may thrive living in a nature like environment isolated from cities. Also may like to live near the ocean or beach. (Especially Earth signs in 3rd shows early neighborhood)

ღ 10th house can show how your parents were overall like since it shows authority figures. Ex; Sagittarius in 10th= May have had a lack of responsible parents & scattered parents & traveling to foreign countries was somehow relevant in childhood.

ღ A Moon in 12th a manifestation is that once they grow older they may grow distant from their mother usually emotionally until it is physically they may then live far away from the mother maybe even over seas travel.

ღ Sagittarius in 9th individuals may travel far for school & college.

ღ Chiron in 9th may be accepted to another college than the one they prefer originally.

ღ If the ruler of the 2nd is in the 4th the native is quite private with their items & possessions & skills and may only show it to people they have intimacy with.

ღ Scorpio mercuries & the ruler of 3rd in 8th may have a lot of rumors about them going around & may have jealous and brutally honest siblings, may even resent their siblings at some point and may find little kids annoying. (Mercury can show young people) may prefer to communicate with older or more mature people. Lilith Mercury can also have quite jealous siblings too especially if it’s a square or opposition.

ღ Mercury in 1st & Venus in 1st individuals may have a face & body that stays youthful.

ღ Uranus in 1st individuals may have a hard problem with them relying on themselves because they’re constantly changing, they don’t like to commit they also have the best sense of humor and smartest comebacks.

ღ I feel like your rising sign itself can show you what you’re attracted to? It’s what I’ve noticed. Capricorn rising= Older & more mature people & hard working & loyal & committed. Pisces rising= Spiritual people, private people, emotional individuals. This is because we subconsciously want people who have similar values to ourselves. Mutable rising signs may not have a specific type however as they’re constantly changing their perception and values of things. (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)

While planning for this I looked through possibly every single post listing prompts for your grimoire on this site, and listen 98% of those lists are exactly the same. No shade on the ppl who make these lists, since I found that stuff really useful for brainstorming my own ideas, but here’s a list of ideas that I haven’t anywhere on tumblr.
