Title: Firestarter

The air in the training arena was thick with smoke and adrenaline. You wiped the sweat from your brow, muscles aching from the relentless drills Aizawa had put your class through. The sound of explosions crackling behind you was unmistakable — Katsuki Bakugo.

"Oi, [Y/N]! Stop slacking off!" His voice rang out, sharp and full of that familiar fiery attitude. You turned, rolling your eyes, but your stomach fluttered despite yourself.

"I’m not slacking, Bakugo," you shot back, crossing your arms. "Maybe if you stopped blowing everything up for a second, we’d actually finish this exercise."

His crimson eyes narrowed as he stalked toward you, his presence a storm of heat and intensity. "Tch. You wanna say that again, [Y/N]?" He loomed over you, close enough for you to feel the heat radiating off his skin.

You smirked. "Maybe I do."

Before you could blink, Bakugo’s hand slammed into the wall behind you, his smirk matching yours but layered with a dangerous edge. "You’ve got guts, I’ll give you that," he muttered, his voice low and rough. "But don’t think you can outdo me, extra."

Your heart raced, though you refused to back down. "Maybe I’m not trying to outdo you. Maybe I just like getting under your skin."

His eyes widened slightly before narrowing again, the faintest hint of pink dusting his cheeks. "You’re gonna regret that," he growled, his voice softer now, almost teasing.

The tension between you crackled like one of his explosions, leaving you breathless as he pulled back with a confident smirk. "Better keep up, [Y/N]," he called over his shoulder, walking away. "I don’t wait for losers."

But as you watched him go, you couldn’t help the small smile tugging at your lips. Maybe, just maybe, Katsuki Bakugo wasn’t as untouchable as he liked to pretend.
