it brings me to literal tears @ how pure mark hamill is. like dude was basically type cast from day one of his career but was he bitter? is he ungrateful?? NOPE! he’s literally the most humble, kindest dude. he responds in some way almost every single fan tweet he gets with anything from a like, a witty kind reply or a shoutout. fans want luke to be gay? he’s down! a fan comes out as trans because he’s inspired by luke? mark hamill tells them how proud he is of them. got a funny star wars meme? guarantee u mark has shared it at some point or if he hasn’t he’ll appreciate the heck out of it! he’s out here making bad wholesome dad jokes and enjoying himself, out here congratulating ppl for their work, out here using his platforms to call-out corrupt politicians, appreciate kindness, fans and draw attention to important issues without giving a shit about *image*, didn’t give a shit about disney’s gag orders and was honest about tlj and even though it was clear he wasn’t comfortable with the script, he graciously gave 100%. does voice work for everything from major cartoon franchises to small youtube works. he’s out here missing carrie more than we are and keeping her memory alive, he’s making random appreciation posts for his family and peers, aging gracefully and ignoring you if you’re a bigotted star wars fan. i fucking love and respect mark hamill with all my heart and soul and i aspire to be as kind, humble, selfless and honest as he is to the people in my life.

i hope the scenes with isaiah bradley, the cops cornering sam, sam telling bucky he cannot tell sam what he does or does not have the right to do, sam being flat-out “this is something neither you nor steve would understand” regarding his decision to give the shield back, i hope none of that goes over yall’s heads.

isaiah bradley was forgotten about by history because (canonically) he was part of a project that experimented with the super soldier serum. experimented. remember what that word means.

the cops cornered sam because they thought he was bothering bucky, and likely would have arrested him FOR NO REASON had bucky not been there to testify to the fact that he really was an avenger. 

and it has finally been straight-up addressed now that the shield carries a notably different burden in relation to sam than it would to steve and bucky, and isaiah stands as a living testament to the complicated legacy of the shield.

Thinking about the countless times art and music and cinema and literature have saved and comforted me during difficult times i really owe my happiness to everyone dedicated to their craft

I’m so embarrassed to have to type this out but this is the last place I can turn for the support of my friends and community. I’m a struggling Latina lesbian trying to make my way in the world, and with COVID19 my financial situation deteriorated until I was forced to move back in with my parents. 

A few nights ago a person I once considered a friend outed me to my parents because he was upset I rejected his romantic advances. Upon finding out my parents decided to kick me out, and I’ve had to stay with a friend. Now that she can no longer house me, I’m trying to find an apartment and need help staying at a motel and paying for food and gas.
