Inspirationless: where you have the motivation but just can't think of anything good to write.
Motivation Deprived: you have the idea, but just, don't really wanna.
Pooped: Basically you have no ideas and don't really feel like writing anyways.
Procrastination: Where you are SO PUMPED TO GET THIS THING DONE!! But, there's that other thing, and, your show is on, and, you'll just do it tomorrow.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
When you are writing a story and refer to a character by a physical trait, occupation, age, or any other attribute, rather than that character’s name, you are bringing the reader’s attention to that particular attribute. That can be used quite effectively to help your reader to focus on key details with just a few words. However, if the fact that the character is “the blond,” “the magician,” “the older woman,” etc. is not relevant to that moment in the story, this will only distract the reader from the purpose of the scene.
If your only reason for referring to a character this way is to avoid using his or her name or a pronoun too much, don’t do it. You’re fixing a problem that actually isn’t one. Just go ahead and use the name or pronoun again. It’ll be good.

It started off quite similarly as yesterday. Not a whole lot of work was getting done, but that’s because I was excited! I was turning in my passport application today and I am so freaking happy about getting my passport! I’m going to Europe in middle/late January so I’m super excited about it. The lady was super nice, but I wish passports weren’t so pricey. Oh well, they weren’t too bad in price. As a gift to my mum, I bought it for her since my Aunt’s paying for her ticket. An all paid for trip for her.
Anyways, we got back home around 2:30 so I caught up on some YouTube videos and around 3:30, I started working. I’m cutting and adding things as I go, so right now my word count is almost where the last draft ended which was 96,700. The reason is, there’s a lot of details that I’ve changed and I felt like there’s extra paragraphs that could be added. I am not worrying too much as I’m taking a whole chapter out because I’m changing the storyline mentioned in that particular chapter.
I write on the desktop program called Scrivener (amazing program for all writers) and there’s one annoying thing about it that I can’t stand. When you copy and paste from Word, it formats your chapters weird. So I’m forced to make new chapters for the ones that weren’t written on Scrivener. Also, it’s added an extra indent so it’s really annoying.
At the end of the day, I didn’t finish a whole chapter, but I don’t really mind. It was a Sci-fi heavy chapter and I was fixing tons of descriptions and changing some of the technology I had. I am almost done with this chapter, but it’s over 4,000 words to begin with so I knew I wouldn’t finish. I told you I would slow down eventually.
Taylor Swift's song "Sparks Fly," is so fitting for Sparky. :-) This is not my video, btw.
